Willoughby’s Camera Opiniões 

First experience with this company while visiting NYC, and I must say the hypocrisy of a few employees were utterly unbecoming - the glassed, old woman even took the liberty of mutilating my photo as I exited the store. She prohibited her fellow colleagues to not “mess with him”, and went further with her unprofessionalism by using profanity because I asked for a receipt with my purchase. However, (2) Stars because I was assisted very well by another lady, and an older gentleman; the stars are for those two. I do appreciate the folks that kept their exemplary patience by making sure I left with my questions answered. I hope this helps future patrons because Willoughby’s Camera needs to acknowledge that a few of their employees are highly passive aggressive, and needs to absolve such behavior.

Willoughby's used to be a reputable and credible operation, that is no longer the case. Their customer support is non-existent, they lie repeatedly, show items "In Stock" when in fact they are not, they unilaterally cancel orders that have been placed & pd for, no response to emails about likely ship date, etc...

Avoid these frauds like the plague, 1 star is 1 star waaaay too many!

By far the worst camera supplier I have ever dealt with. They repeatedly lie to their customers and are extremely rude over the phone. After promising to ship my lens for two weeks, they finally told me it was stolen which is a lie. I would highly recommend you buy your equipment anywhere else.

Purchased Sony A7R IV. Received email notification that order would be processed in a few days. Then got another email to confirm order. I called and spoke to Jimmy and was offered extended warranty because they said the NEW Sony I bought had no US warranty. I refused to do so. Then I was told that the camera I purchased is a Chinese language camera, doesn't make sense, but they did to get out of this sale from selling it at a low price. To upgrade to a US camera, I need to pay an extra $300. What a scammer retailer. I worked for Sony for 4 years and Sony does not make Chinese language camera. Stay away from these unethical retailer.

I HIGHLY advise to stay away from these people. They are selling gray market cameras. They give you the option to purchase a international or a domestic version, but the only true difference is the "domestic" version camera is them selling you their own 3 year warranty with a gray market camera. THIS IS NOT ADVERTISED ON THEIR WEBSITE AND THEY ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE. I am in the middle of a credit card dispute with them right now. I purchased a camera for my husband on 4/01/20 as a surprise anniversary gift. They had the cheapest price by far online, a good rating on BBB and several good reviews so I chose to purchase from them. I received a call from them on 4/02/20 confirming I wanted to purchase the international version and not the domestic version. When I asked the difference between the two, he told me the international version I originally purchased did not come with a warranty or the wireless activated. So I upgraded to the domestic version for $150.00 more (originally $200 more, but he gave me a "promo coupon"). I told my husband about it, and he immediately got concerned because the guy on the phone told me the domestic version came with a 3 year warranty and Nikon only offered a 1 year warranty. He had been researching cameras for a while and had read many issues with people selling gray market cameras. When I called them back, it took three tries to get in touch with someone. When I did talk to someone I was transferred around 3 times. When I started questioning them, specifically asking if they were selling gray market cameras, they started getting short and extremely rude....absolutely down right nasty. When I received a call back from the original man who up sold me the "domestic" version, he admitted they were all gray market cameras with their warranty-not the camera company's factory warranty. I told him I did not want the camera and was told I would receive a confirmation email that my order was cancelled, the camera would not be shipped and my credit card would be refunded. It is now 4/4/20, I still have not received an email cancelling the order and my credit card has been charged. I have sent them an email requesting my cancellation and I have filed a dispute with my credit card company and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB).
