Rented two flats from them in harrogate. Awful company. I left both flats in perfect condition. Paid a lot of money for professional cleaners to come in both when I left. On both occasions they made up fake claims trying to get money out of the deposit. Totally unreasonable to deal with. Forced me to go the TDS to appeal my deposit. I won both times, total waste of my time. Always paid my rent on time was a good tenant left both flats spotless, they could have just said thank and good luck thank you for staying with us. Rude, mean, liars. Many times they called me demanding rent even though I had paid it on time. Totally disorganised. They charge way above market rate for rent too. Small bedsits, and they charge huge rents. I know that’s the state of the UK rent market but they will put the rent up on you at chance they get. Worst company I’ve dealt with. Good luck to anyone dealing with them. Jake Morell was particularly useless there.

Alex was professional and great at his job. I had a pleasant experience with him.

I have a wonderful experience in live oasis st albans. The staff here are really kind and nice. There’s a young guy named Hadi who’s super helpful, always willing to help. And he is also a funny guy, has sense of humor.

Awful, cash grabbing company. They offer incentives to give 5 star reviews to tenants in exchange for discounts and vouchers, hence they have such a good rating. I lived in a YPP flat for one year, and had frequent severe mould problems stemming from other flats which were not resolved by the team and I was forced to move out as they did not help me. I asked for compensation for the 2 months I spent unable to live in the flat because of the dangerous, illegal conditions, and they never replied to my emails once I had ended my tenancy. I called frequently to try and get updates but was let down again and again. What this company does is illegal, do not be fooled by the positive reviews you see.

YPP great company - both letting staff and the maintenance people we so helpful - highly record them as a company

Absolutely shocking company.
They don't clean the apartments before moving in, mould in the bathroom, mouldy food in the kitchen, disgusting utilities.
Unsafe- people sleeping in the corridors doing drugs/drinking. Maintenance entering unannounced and rudely/with entitlement.
The customer service from the uni office is appalling replying to telephone concerns with
"okay and?" Like it's not their problem.

Where to start with this letting agency. The start of the contract was absolutely fine, they did a good job of going through everything and had the property ready for us as agreed.
The problems began about six months to a year into our contract when we started seeing mould on some of our bedrooms. The maintenance people were very quick to attend to it but they informed that this will keep on happening due to a leak in the gutters, and until the gutters were repaired.
Waited almost a year for them to send a roofer to check the gutters and they discovered that the roof was also leaking and needed to be replaced. They had all summer to do this repair but they waited until November to start work. When they started work and removed the roof the rains came down and they had to stop working. They said it should not leak as they had put a tarp over the roof.
Our family including 2 children went on holiday and upon our return found the entire upstairs and some parts of the downstairs was flooded with all the carpets being soggy. Despite several calls and several people coming to visit in the next few days, we were not provided with alternate accommodation. We had to resort to sleeping on the living room floor and after taking several months to complete the work we were still not compensated properly.
We left the property in May 2024 but it took us almost 6 months to get our deposit back.
Despite them taking much longer to provide a deposit deduction report than stated on our contract, and when questioned about this they informed that the contract doesn't matter. (Which means to them, the contract is just a piece of paper)
Thankfully our deposit was covered by the TDS scheme and we managed to get most of our deposit back. (Another thing we found out was that a deposit top up we gave them when extending the contract was not put towards the TDS but kept with YPP).
All we can say is please avoid these people if you have a choice.
We previously stayed in a Unipol property in Leeds and had no issues with them.
YPP will start off great but will make you wish you never heard of them in the end. Our kids are still suffering from PTSD due to the state of the house we came back to from holiday, as they keep asking us if the house would be flooded every time we return from a trip.

Great job, dealt with issues in my flat in a timely and professional manner. Mark H was particularly helpful, he fixed the issues swiftly and I’ve had no problems since. Thank you

Mark H did an excellent job removing the mould from the shower wall. His work was so thorough that the shower room now looks freshly renovated. I’m very pleased with the result!
