Incredible. Honestly I cannot put into words how amazing Merv is and how this shoot changed my life. I haven't even had the pictures back yet and already my life has changed and my sex life has never been better. I cannot recommend it enough. You won't regret it. Thank you so much Merv for being your wonderful self. ❤️

Woww!! I don’t have enough words to say what a truly amazing and empowering experiance this was. From our first conversation, the day of the shoot to sharing the pictures with me merv has been an absolute god send. He gave me confidence I never knew I had. He made me feel safe, comfortable and just incredible. I didn’t care how my pictures would turn out because the day was enough for me it was honestly life changing! But wow the photos didn’t disappoint he really did capture how I felt in that moment and that I will cherish for a lifetime. What a truly incredible talented man, always grateful for you merv!

When I first came across Mervs page I was instantly excited, his work was romantic and sexy but not trashy and I knew that I had to take the opportunity. We first booked a call and Mervs energy instantly put me at ease. We spoke about consent, about boundaries and about what I wanted to create. Note that I said "I" because the shoot was truly about what I wanted and what I was comfortable with. When I got to the studio, we sat and chatted to get to know eachother a little more. Merv is fun to be around so the conversation flowed so well. Then we discussed outfits and what would work for the shoot. The rest was like hanging out with an old friend, he was encouraging and so positive. I had so much fun and felt so empowered and in control. I got my pictures back this week and I absolutely love them. I feel like an complete goddess! Thank you Merv for being so incredible xx

I had been saving up some money to put towards a special shoot and chose You at Yours because of the overwhelmingly great reviews. I was impressed with Mervyn arranging a zoom call to discuss what was involved and I appreciated the clarity he gave me about everything that was going to happen and called me the day before the shoot to check all was ok which was great!
However, I am disappointed to say that I didn’t enjoy the shoot or the results after. I felt Mervyn was not really enthused on the shoot. There were a lot of awkward silences and sadly I just couldn’t wait for the shoot to be finished. I was expecting full energy and encouragement on the day as other people’s glowing reviews mentioned, but I left feeling a bit deflated by the whole thing. On review of the photos i felt the lighting was very dark and couldn’t really see myself in the pictures and did wonder why on the shoot day extra lighting wasn’t brought to the location etc. I also saw a few images of my body without my head which I didn’t like as I thought my face would be included in all photos and perhaps cropped later on if i wanted to focus particularly on the body. There was a shot I really liked and wanted to see the full shot with my head, but he hadn’t included my face when the shot was taken :(
One thing I wasn’t happy about was the subtle push to buy physical prints over just buying digital files. Mervyn mentioned on Instagram that he felt people just bought digital files and they got lost on their phone amongst other images, however that is a choice I should be able make for myself without judgement, I certainly take care of my digital images and special images are never forgotten, so i think digital and physical prints should be encouraged equally by Mervyn without a lean towards one type.
I give three stars because Mervyn is a nice person and he has a mission to help women feel their best selves and I acknowledge and see he has done that for hundreds of women who have adored their experience and results from the shoot. Sadly I must have been one of a very small few who didn’t feel they got the full experience they signed up for.

OMG what an experience! I'd been thinking about a boudoir photoshoot for a while and earlier this year finally the stars aligned and booked a session with Merv.

The entire process was a dream - from landing on the You at Yours website, to my first consultation, to the days leading up to the shoot, Merv was with me every step of the way. The day of the shoot will forever rank as a highlight of my life - fun and chill but empowering and uplifting all at the same time!

And then receiving the photos - wow! I thought I’d like them as much as I did when I first saw them but somehow I love them more now.

This has been such an unbelievable experience and cannot wait to repeat (already plotting for when I’m next in London next summer).

Thanks again for your work and all-around awesomeness Merv! And to anyone reading this who is still on the fence about booking a session - do it! Do it now!

For a lot of people this is a daunting thing to do. I'd been considering it for some time, and after coming across You at Yours, Mervyn made me feel comfortable to finally take the plunge. From start to finish, Mervyn was personable, supportive and made me feel as comfortable as possible. He guided me through every step of the way and took it at my pace. It truly was an empowering experience and I feel like if I did it again in the future, I'd go in with even more confidence and self. The photos are authentic and a genuine portrayal, and I'm so glad I finally did it!

How to put into words the incredible experience that having a shoot with Merv was. After following You at Yours for a couple of years on social media I finally bit the bullet and booked in a shoot earlier this month and it's one of the best things I've ever done. Not only do I have this overwhelming sense of empowerment for the sheer fact I actually did it, but I've gained so much more just through the conversations had with Merv before, during and after the shoot as well. On the actual day of my shoot he continuously put me at ease, was incredibly respectful throughout and was the ultimate hypeman/cheerleader! When I stepped out having changed into my first outfit he could sense my nerves and rather than rushing into the shoot we sat calmly and spoke for a good 10-15minutes until I relaxed more into my skin and was ready to begin. We talked all about my relationship with my body and what lead me to having one of these shoots and I honestly felt like I was confiding in an old friend. We laughed throughout and it was just such a liberating and fun day!
I never thought I could be the woman who I saw staring back at me when I finally saw my images... but now I know I am her and I'll remember this experience forever.

Thank you for giving me this and reminding me I already have the power I need to break down that brick wall I've built up over time.

From day one Merv has made me feel comfortable (not an easy task) not once did I feel pressured to do any poses I didn’t want to. I went in on the day of the shoot a shaking mess and came out feeling on top of the world… until the day before the photo reveal when again I went into panic mode, what if I hated the pictures, what if Those thoughts about myself were true? I sat there fear building up inside me to be faced with photos of me that I loved. I found myself wondering how do I react I have never liked a photo of myself let alone love 1or 54 lol. Amazing experience from start to finish I’m glad I chose you at yours. If you’re reading this and debating it I’d say just do it you won’t be disappointed it is so much more than a photoshoot. It’s like a therapy session It allows you to see who you really are not what you think you are . And to top it all off you have the fantastic Merv who makes you laugh keeps you calm and just makes the whole experience unforgettable.

Being able to take beautiful pictures is a talent, BUT Merv’s godly talent in being able to put his client in the right mindset through deep yet smooth conversations is one of a kind.

I understand now how it wasn’t just a photo session, it was a therapy session that opened my eyes to my own feelings and realization of how lucky I really am.

Not to mention that it might have led to just the best and most intimate sex of my life!

This photoshoot was the most incredible experience ever! Mervyn is amazing!!!! I am truly grateful for everything he did and creating such a safe and encouraging space for me to be myself. My confidence is through the roof - if anyone has ever toyed with the idea - I would 1000% recommend!

I dont even know where to begin. Yes I cannot recommend Mervin ( the photographer) and its his team enough. The whole experience from start to finish was effortless, reassuring and reaffirming the natural inner and outer beauty we all posses as women.
Mervin is a warm and kind person, not too mention very funny. Very professional and knowledgeable definitely but his passion for women's body confidence and ensuring the photos represent the unique woman stands out the most.
As Mervin and his team prepared me so well for the shoot, I felt excited and yes of course with a hint of butterflies in my stomach but that disappeared as soon I met Mervin and the make up artist. We talked about anything and everything while my make up was being done. Like having a conversation with my best friend.
Mervin's guidance and ensuring you feeling comfortable was a constant throughout the shoot which allowed me to relaxed more and more..The laughter and able to be completely myself..the woman.
The shoot itself for me was like slowly peeling off layers ( yes literally too..LOL) that hide the true essence of who I am as a woman, connecting with feelings we women posses but have hidden.
The results were beyond my expectations, the images captured me, my story so well revealing a side of me that I knew was there but Mervin brought it back to life..My story..my body
I cannot recommend You at Yours enough....Take a chance and do it..you wont regret it!!

I overthink everything... I thought that was why it took me 3 years to find and book the photoshoot... But no... as soon as I saw Mervin Instagram and website I just knew it, I wanted HIM to be the one with me in this experience... His approach and his energy was just IT..!! EXACTLY what I wanted...!! Someone who looks at YOU and capture your essence, I knew that my body changed through the last 2 years with the pandemic and I was aware the increase clothes' sizes but I wasn't comfortable I saw myself in the mirror and couldn't see me there like seen somebody else... I almost cancel a week before but I was Encouraged to not to, so I went... I cried, I posed, I changed clothes 4 times and I went back to my house... I cried again... I thought of all the words of encouragement that Mervin said to me during the session (part of me though well that his job he probably says it to everyone). The day of revealing the photos arrived, I went with my husband thinking that I was sure I was going to hate the photos because well the weight and also the pregnancy so I wasn't going to get my hopes up... Well... I cried again but this time it was because I finally saw myself in the photos... my essence that person I know I am, that warm smile inside of me I SAW IT... That confidence, the sensuality, the future mom inside of me EVERYTHING was THERE!!! I still cry when I remember the moment and the face of my husband looking at the pictures... Is one of those moments that I will never forget... Thank you Merv for showing me that my body is PERFECT and all this is still ME... <3 ... SUPERB experience!!!

I can not recommend this experience enough. Merv is an incredible photographer and a beautiful soul, who made sure to put my comfort first in every moment of the shoot. Even without the sublime images, the experience was more than worth it!

If you are even thinking about having this shoot done! Do it! I was so nervous about having it done as soon as I booked in the call with Merv, he made me feel at ease. He answered any question that I had. Even if it seemed silly to me. When it came to day of the shoot, I had hair and makeup done whilst we talked about anything and everything, again made me feel more at ease. Merv helped me every step of the way. Made me feel confident. Made my inner ‘JT’ come out as we named my inner diva. Thank you Merv! You are phenomenal x

This is something I recommend every adult female & male, from all age groups, to do atleast once in their lifetime. This is probably going to change the way you look at yourself and will definitely help you fall in love with yourself once again.

I wish you feel this confident with every man! I didn’t have a second where I felt it was too much or I don’t want to do it. Merv made me feel so comfortable from the first chat until the last minute in the photoshoot. I had such a great experience and time. I can only recommend!

After being pretty nervous on the lead up to my shoot, Merv put me at ease straight away. He made the whole time shooting so much fun and also much easier than I expected by helping me choose outfits and knowing exactly what kind of poses would suit me, my body and the type of ‘feel’ I wanted for my shoot. When seeing my images for the first time I was completely blown away by how incredible they were and that it was the real me- unedited and beautiful! I love every single image I chose and I’m so so grateful to Mervyn for this experience- it was so much more than the photo shoot itself.

I highly recommend Mervyn and jumping into this experience with two feet!!

You know when you have an idea in your head; you have a clear expectation of what you would like the outcome of a potential shoot to be, you know exactly how you would like to feel afterwards, but when it comes down to it you seem to lack the ability to communicate what it is. - that was how I felt when beginning this process.

If you recognise these feelings fear not, because Merv got your back! - Literally, this man is so good at what he do.

He knows what questions to ask, and he put so much time and energy into making sure he understands your vision, that you understand your vision (😆) and that you are happy and comfortable throughout the whole experience.

If you are thinking about it, do it! You are in safe hands :)

From our engagement shoot in 2018, a boudoir-turned-Body Confidence Shoot as a gift for my husband to be (but more so for myself), a pregnancy shoot in Richmond park to my second pregnancy shoot the day before baby arrived. During each and every shoot I felt comfortable and confident to bare it all: feelings, thoughts, fears and dreams. Merv is an amazing person and an even better photographer. I have recommended him to all of my friends and I would definitely book another shoot with him!

Merv made me feel incredibly comfortable throughout the whole experience, from the initial contact and conversations, through to the actual shoot and photo viewing. I don't really like photos being taken of me so felt a bit nervous about posing and what the results would look like, but I was delighted with the results. I felt perfectly comfortable during the photoshoot, even though I was in my underwear, as Merv made me feel relaxed and not awkward in the slightest. I can highly recommend if you want some beautiful photos and an amazing photographic experience, Merv is your man.
