Beste mensen kamers zijn erg gehorig

Beste mensen kamers zijn erg gehorig, ik had een Britse stel wat de hele nacht en ochtend schreeuwden waren stoned en dronken. Uiteindelijke is er iemand in de ochtend van de receptie komen kijken, en verder niks gedaan. Ik heb gewoon mijn hotel kamer betaald voor een normale nacht rust.
Ik heb ook een klacht ingediend bij het management en daarop kreeg ik als antwoord het zijn ook gasten.
Hotels hebben regels met rustige uren en dient men ook te respecteren. Een gebaar of enige compensatie ho maar. De man die ik sprak van het management was erg bod en het kon hem niks schelen. Het hotel word gemanaged door zeer onvriendelijke personeel wat geen Nederlands en gebrekkig Engels spreken.

Slechtse ervaring tot nu toe…

Verschrikkelijke kleine en onhygiënische kamer! Alles was vies en/of stuk. Overal vlekken en viezigheid. De lampen waren stuk, gat in het plafond, behang viel van de muren af. Er hing een TV aan de muur maar deze was niet eens aangesloten en de afstandbediening was negens te bekennen. Badkamer verschrikkelijk klein waardoor je bijna op de wc moet zitten om te kunnen douchen. Wat een ellende! Dat dit hotel nog niet is gesloten verbaasd mij enorm!

It's Maitreya. You can call me Antonio if you so wish but its part of an old identity. I now work as Maitreya The World Teacher.

Listen, I love you! I fell head over heels in love with you the moment I set eyes on you.
I came to Amsterdam with one intention, to find my bride. My queen and the one who I could teach to become a Goddess so that she could roll with a true son of God.
Now, I overstand your actions and they are amicable and commendable. You were protecting your space and sanctity because I could be anyone, however I truly hope my acts of kindness have show you my true heart and intentions.

Now, I know there is most likely a large age gap between us but my desire for you is concreate and yes, I do wish to marry you and make you my first wife ever!
Like your friend at reception mentioned in my last communication with your team, it must be by mutual consent, so now the balls in your court.

I received this email from them the day I left!

"Do not visit us again. If you decide to enter the perimeter of the Hotel, Law Enforcement will be called and have you removed. You are not welcome now or at any point in the near future. This message is final and you will not be able to reply to it"

Please be warned, The Establishment is an absolute embarrassment and travesty. I visited Amsterdam to pursue my dream of finding me queen, my bride, my true love, soul mate, twin flame and this is how I was greeted. I'm actually in tears as I write this. Sorry to be so emotional in a review but they're all liars there. Their strapline is "If you can dream it, we can do it" what a load of crock. I mean you can see for yourself if you visit the Zaan Hotel's Facilities Page. I never lie! Ever. I'm a truly distinguished Gentleman. Royalty in fact, not that it matters now. I gave them my heart and they completely annihilated it. I left my room immaculate, I even gave all the receptionists gifts and warm notes of affection throughout my visit which they all lapped up with fake smiles. I'm truly ruined as a man.

For your own inner peace and sanctity of mind, never visit The Zaan Hotel in Zaandam.

I'm speechless, I simply have no words left.

Such a beautiful hotel , modern , spotless , friendly efficient staff. We stayed 2 nights and were very happy with everything. Breakfast buffet was extensive and had a wide variety of vegan food. No complaints from us. Great value also . Location was super with a supermarket across the road , train station 2 minutes away , bars and restaurants all only walking distance .

Overhemd foetsie

Overhemd foetsie! Kamer niet schoon.
We kwamen aan; douche nog vies glassplinters van een kapot glas op de grond haren zwarte lange haren. En een schuifspeldje op de wastafel. Je raad het al niet schoongemaakt! BAH! Dan vergeet je met weg gaan een nieuw gekocht Hugo boss overhemd.. bellen heeft geen zin je moet een e-mail sturen. Drie keer raden wat we terug krijgen. Er is geen overhemd gevonden!. Hoezo niet? Hij hing daar.. wij gaan weg en personeel (housekeeping komt daar) maar niks gevonden. Eerlijkheid duurt het langst maar personeel loopt er deze winter weer netjes bij in een Hugo boss overhemd!
Boek hier niet!

Luxurious and Convenient

My partner and I came to this hotel after booking via EasyJet between the 14th-17th of December. The Zaan Hotel made our stay as comfortable and as easy as possible. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, when we mentioned that our thermostat may be broken they promised it would be fixed and when we came back from dinner it was. Our room was cleaned when we requested it and I especially loved the little light buttons you could pressed to request service. The bed was comfortable, although it was two single beds put together to make a double bed which made it hard to cuddle up during the nights without us rolling into the gap in between. The breakfast was lovely though there weren’t as many options as I would’ve hoped for the price- what was there was delicious though! The room was luxurious and the shower was fantastic! They also have sockets for UK and American plugs by the TV so if you forget your adapter then it’s all good!

A special shout out to the receptionist Shimá who welcomed us warmly and was very kind throughout our stay, she spoke fantastic English and was happy to chat with us like we were friends. She deserves a raise and commendation!

This hotel is definitely NOT 4 Star

This hotel is definitely NOT 4 Star . Check in was very slow. Room was small with horrible view. Smell in bathroom was awful when flushing loo. Bathroom mirror hanging off the wall. Coffee maker was leaking. Will not be returning.

AVOID THIS HOTEL! TOTAL SCAM!

We booked two double-bed rooms at the Zaan Hotel Amsterdam **a month in advance** and paid upfront, only to arrive and find out they gave our rooms to someone else. We had a late check-in after a long flight from the U.S., arriving at 11 PM, and they had no suitable rooms for us.

The hotel is supposed to be a 4-star establishment near downtown Amsterdam with a rating of 9.2, but it certainly didn't live up to that. Instead of the two double-bed rooms we booked, they offered us a single-person room at the same price we prepaid. They refused to offer us another similar accommodation or a refund.

We spoke to Anthony at reception, who was unhelpful and unapologetic, leaving us stranded with nowhere to sleep after a long journey. The hotel was already mad expensive, and we paid $1,000 for our rooms. This is clearly a scam. Save your money and avoid this hotel at all costs. They overbook and then don't honor their commitments, leaving you high and dry. Terrible experience. Absolutely do not come here!

We hadden via boeking.com besteld. We hadden all de tarieven betaald maar nee hoor we moeten alsnog de stadsbelasting betalen. Persoonlijk vind ik dit echt onzin vorig jaar hoefde het niet. Dus eigenlijk hebben we 45 aan niks verspild!

Slechte omgangsvormen an receptiepersoneel naar gasten toe.
Personeel onderling snauwen naar elkaar.
Luisteren niet naar gasten bejegening is ver te zoeken.
Vinden je al snel lastig als er iets niet klopt.

Na meerdere malen contact hierover gehad te hebben willen ze mij niet meer te woord staan en reageren nergens meer op.
Dus let op als je bij dit hotel boekt als er iets niet klopt dan heb je een probleem waar ze niet op anticiperen
Ontbijt en diner was prima personeel restaurant en bar prima erg vriendelijk en professioneel
Kamer was niet schoon, klein ligging hotel prima dichtbij centrum
Min punt wiet rokende menigte voor de deur.
Kortom wij komen hier niet meer terug
Geen aanrader.

Stinkend putje wastafel en spinnenwebben aan de muur maakten de ellende compleet. En dat voor toch een redelijk forse prijs.

Lack of compassion

My experience with Zaan Hotel Amsterdam left me deeply disappointed and frustrated. Despite facing extenuating circumstances, including my travel companion's diagnosis of secondary bowel cancer and immediate treatment, the hotel rigidly adhered to their non-refundable booking policy. When I reached out to them, hoping to reschedule my stay for two nights starting on March 2nd, they displayed a remarkable lack of empathy and flexibility.

I understood the terms of my non-refundable booking but expected some level of understanding and assistance given the gravity of the situation. However, their refusal to accommodate a change in dates, even when I clarified that I wasn't seeking a refund, felt callous and indifferent.

Their offer of a name change for the same date was not only useless but also demonstrated a complete disregard for the circumstances I was facing. It left me feeling unsupported and undervalued as a customer during a time of personal crisis.

In summary, my experience with Zaan Hotel Amsterdam was marred by their inflexible policies and lack of compassion. I would caution others against booking with them, especially if they anticipate the need for any flexibility or understanding in their travel plans.

Zeer onvriendelijk

Wij hadden een nachtje weggeboekt maar helaas konden wij wegens familieomstandigheden niet gaan. Social deal was zeer coulant en dacht mee, en heeft zelfs contact met het hotel opgenomen hierover. Het hotel stond niet open voor enig overleg. Het volledige bedrag werd ingehouden omdat we (net) buiten de 24 uur vielen. totaal geen empathie voor de situatie of enige samenwerking.
Het hotel hebben wij niet gezien, maar dat gaan wij ook zeer zeker niet meer boeken.

Good service. Nice view. 10/10 service. Amazing. Only 2 stops from central. Nice location, beautiful hotel, amazing service. Comfy bed, cosy room. Shops with 2-5 minutes so it’s very convenient.

Aangenaam verblijf, slechte administratieve service

Het verblijf was aangenaam.
Maar toen ik bij thuiskomst ontdekte dat we teveel betaald hadden werd dat minder soepel afgehandeld. Van enige service was geen sprake, ik wacht nu een maand later nog steeds op mijn geld. Voordeeluitjes (daar hadden wij geboekt) heeft bevestigt dat er inderdaad teveel in rekening is gebracht, maar we wachten nog steeds op ons geld. Als tip wil ik dus meegeven om goed op te letten wat u afrekent.

Gisteren een high tea in het…

Gisteren een high tea in het hotelrestaurant.

Alles ging fout, was vies (niet schoon) of verkeerd, ober wist niet wat ze deed.
Na het vinden van een stuk hout in onze broodjes zalm zijn we vertrokken, het hotel heeft niks ondernomen om ons toch nog tevreden te krijgen.

Zeer slecht

Sehr schönes Hotel & tolle Lage!

Wir waren zum zweiten mal Vorort und können uns kein anderes Hotel (in der nähe von Amsterdam) vorstellen! Man ist nicht direkt im "Großstadtdschungel" von Amsterdam, sondern 8-10 minuten mit der Bahn entfernt im Speckgürtel. Das Hotel und auch die Zimmer, waren sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Wir haben uns beim 4 tägigen Aufenthalt sehr wohl gefühlt und werden definitiv auch beim nächsten "Amsti Besuch" das Hotel auswählen :-)

Horrible experience

Horrible experience. The hotel expanded recently and owner decided to rent rooms which are freshly after construction. The room stank with chemicals and despite the staff doing their best to vent the smell it was in vein. I woke up with horrible headache coming form sleeping whole night in the chemical fumes which were seeping from the walls and the corridor. The greed of the owner who decided to rent the rooms filled with chemical fumes is palpable. Not the experience I am looking for when paying 150 eur per night. There are many other hotels in the neighbourhood with better price and better experience, I do not think I will ever stay in this hotel again.

The be clear, the staff was very nice and did their best to handle the situation. It is all fault of the management who took the decision of renting the rooms so prematurely.
