Do not order from SCS!

Ordered a corner sofa which was delivered on the 2nd delivery date. First delivery date was cancelled with less than 48 hours notice. Immediately on delivery I noticed the sofa was defective, scratches on the fabric and all the cushions misshapen and under padded. Sofa like its 10 years old not brand new, very poorly made. Delivery drivers have damaged my skirting boards and walls.


Phoned immediately to report the damage to my property and the defective sofa. Provided photos of both the damage to the walls and sofa. Told them I want a refund as it my right under the comsumer rights act. Apparently the law does not apply to SCS and my only option is to allow one for their engineers to come out 6 weeks after delivery who will then inspect and decide if they believe it to be faulty. The delivery was subcontracted to a another company and SCS is not taking any responsibility for the damage they have caused to my property. If you are considering ordering from this appalling company please look at the SCS complaints page on Facebook first.

Hundreds of customers with photos of their not fit for purpose sofas that SCS claim there is nothing wrong with. The warranty they sell you is not worth the paper its written on as no matter how defective the sofa is their "engineer" states that the damage to the substandard quality sofas are not a manufacturing fault.

The worst company I have ever dealt with please don't waste your money on their poor quality products and awful customer service.

The only positive thing was the lady in the store when I initially went in to choose a sofa was very helpful with selecting fabrics etc. Unfortunately all down hill after this, damaged sofa and very poor after sales support. Clearly once SCS have your money they couldn't care less about their customers.

I am very sorry that you have concerns with the quality of your furniture following your delivery and apologise also that there was some damage to your home.
I can completely understand your frustration around this as it is not the experience that we would want for our customers.

Once the technician has attended, and provided us with the report, then we will contact you to discuss this further regarding the outcome.
Until this has been inspected we are unable confirm on what the outcome will be.

In regards to the damage this would normally be reported to the delivery crew to resolve any issues with you directly.

As your order details are not included I am unable to view your order or advise further on what has been discussed previously.
