Product not as described, refund avoided with repeated discount offers
I ordered a product from Lakiq.com that turned out to be materially different from what was implied on the website.
The product description does not disclose that the drawers have no slides or retention mechanism and simply rest on the board. There are also no photos showing the drawers partially or fully pulled out, which would have clearly revealed this design. As delivered, the drawers can freely slide out, which creates a safety concern, especially in a household with children.
I contacted customer support requesting a return and full refund. Over multiple messages, the seller refused to provide return instructions and instead repeatedly offered:
- partial refunds (10–40%)
- discounts
- replacements
- gifts
- suggestions to resell or donate the product
None of these addressed the core issue: the product is not as described and not safe for my intended use. After sending a final written notice, I had to escalate the matter through my payment provider.
I recommend potential buyers proceed with caution, carefully review product descriptions, and be aware that obtaining a refund may be difficult if the product does not meet expectations.
