One account details a passenger whose gate was changed (from Gate C to Gate B) with no clear communication or assistance provided by airport staff, resulting in the passenger waiting at the incorrect gate for nearly six hours. The individual, who only spoke Portuguese, was stranded for a total of 20 hours without food or water, and was eventually instructed to purchase a new ticket.
This experience suggests a severe lack of care and assistance for transfer passengers at DXB.
