I'd been given the runaround by other vehicle repairers saying that they specialise on all vehicle types and they don't. A690 gave me clear diagnostics within a couple of dats and carried out the the very next week. Excellent service

First time using A690 found them very professional from start to finish. Friendly knowledgeable nothing was a bother. Would definitely recommend. Will be using them for all future servicing.

I've used A690 on a few occasions now and I have nothing but praise for them. I made my appointment for the day and time I wanted. On arrival I dropped off my car and was told a time when it would be ready for collection. Again everything was done on time and they even cleaned my car. An added bonus is you also get a courtesy car (very helpful when you live in Sunderland).
Sorry forgot to mention, they are very competitively priced compared to other specialist car repairers i've used.

I bought a Vauxhall Mokka from this garage, nothing was to much, even staying open late so I could see the car.

Absolutely loving my Mercedes-Benz C220d AMG LINE Premium Plus! 🚗💨 Performance is smooth, tech is top-notch, and comfort is superb. The AMG Line trim adds that extra bit of flair. Fuel efficiency's great too - perfect for cruising motorways. Big shoutout to Dean, Mark, Chris, the whole team, and the body shop specialists. They went the extra mile to ensure this car suited my needs perfectly! The car was in brilliant condition as Dean and Chris described it to be upon viewing.

I'm the first to admit I'm not a great lover of purchasing cars following an horrendous experience when buying my last car from another garage! Dean was aware of this and was there to answer queries and reassure me throughout the purchase process with A690. I really did appreciate the attention to detail and the reassurances and support from Dean. He sorted all of the paperwork efficiently and arranged the tax and the transfer of my plates, nothing was too much trouble As a result I am once again the owner of a fantastic Landy! Thank you Dean!

Its not all about how nice peopke are when selling you the car it's about the after care when something is wrong too. My car wasn't quite right when I picked it up and not only did the sales team sort it but the after sales and the technicians even spoke to me to sort things. Everything was never a problem and they apologised profusely even though it couldn't be helped. The car I bought looks amazing and the I would highly reccommend them. They were all great.

Having advertised my car on auto trader I then got a missed call from A690 cars. I wasn't going to call them but my daughter said, 'go on, it's worth a try'. After a good chat with Billy a deposit was paid into my bank. A nice chap Tony arrived the next day and less than 21 hours of my advert going live I had the money in my account. Would highly recommend, in fact I'm going to look at thier website when I come to buy my next car.

Very disappointed with this garage. Initial pre-sales was great, Sales person Phil was friendly and professional. However, after service was appalling.

Purchased an Evoque (appreciate it was 9yrs but paid alot of monies still) and after 3 days, engine warning light came on and then came to an immediate stop, failing to re-start. I contacted garage who said i needed to get it to them, to allow them to assess the situation. I contacted RAC who advised would be approx 3hrs, Shortly after the owner phil contacted me to seek update, i explained situation and pointed out i was a single female on a dual carriageway and that i had arranged a spa day, which had been paid for, no acknowledgment re this. I was then advised by RAC they would not get to me for another 3hrs, i contacted owner Phil, who said “if you had of. contacted me earlier i could of had a recovery truck pick you up, but that has now gone somewhere else. I explained i was alone and had been waiting 5rs already, he showed no interest in this. I later contacted the garage to ask if there was anyway of helping me, again pointing out i was alone and in temperatures of 25degrees, as i had now been advised by the RAC it would be an additional 3hrs on top of what they had already said, the salesman Dean said they could not do anything, i asked about the recovery truck, he said they did not have one, i told him i had been told different, weird to say the least. Dean then advised me the garage would be closing imminently at 5pm so to leave car on rd and drop keys in the petrol garage, showed no interest at all. The man in the garage had no clue as to what i was talking about but took my keys, which left me questioning, if i had done the right thing, leaving keys there.

When dropping the car off , the RAC mechanic advised me not to keep the car and told me it was rotten underneath, falling to bits and would cost me thousands in less than a year.

Phil contacted me on the monday to offer a courtesy car, but at no point apologised for the car breaking down, being left stranded for 8hrs. I agreed to go in on the Tuesday to meet with him.

We met Phil and he presented as extremely arrogant, he initially pointed out because we were cash buyers , he prefers credit, because he gets a kick back from it and could of sold the car for more than it was up for. He then offered us the extended warranty free of charge, but at no point gave an apology or acknowledged the impact this had on myself or the inconvenience. I mentioned what the RAC mechanic had said abd he dismissed this with the following comment “they are failed mechanics, thats why they do what they do”, not very helpful to us. When we requested a refund, he asked for bank details and said be in bank tomorrow. Walked away from us, when leaving garage, no thank you or goodbye.

Given the whole situation, it would of been nice for Phil to have reimbursed us for the full tank of diesel (£68) that we had just put in, the £80 spa that we lost and a full months insurance of £78, but we never got offered anything.

We would not recommend this garage at all.

Purchased Audi S5, salesman was very pushy to take a deposit which I was happy to do. Provided finance figures which I agreed to , however quote was £100 per month more. I organised own finance 3 days later however they sold the car for more money. Salesman ignored my calls. Really not professional will be contacting ombudsman on this company
