The account was easy to open and fund. Although the account was opened through the APP there is also a phone line where you can speak to the friendly helpful staff. For me this was very reassuring.

Difficult transferring money into my Afin accoint

Got a fraud alert from my bank
Easy to open a savings account (recommended by martin Lewis) although I did get a fraud alert from my bank, which put the fear of god into me. I hope it's a genuine bank and will do what it says it will.

Easy to open an account
Easy to open an account, even with document upload required to verify identity and address, being able to photograph documents and upload immediately made the process very quick and easy. Very quick responses in the app too - highly recommended!

So far so good.. very impressed with how easy it was to open the account and also how simple it was to fund the account. I am very used to banking apps - use Raisin and Hargraves Lansdown savings apps regularly, but arguably this is easier. We shall see what it's like when I have more funds on the platform, but looks good so far.

Checking identity and address is an important part of opening an account. We use biometric checks and electronic databases where possible to help make this as smooth and secure as we can, and to avoid extra paperwork. However, in some cases we may need to request additional documents to complete the required checks.

Good product but painful application process.
This bank is getting great reviews for its savings rates, which is what made us apply to open an account. However we nearly gave up with the App, which had multiple things which were vague, some rather strange requests in terms of identifying us (which seemed to rely more on weak documentation than strong), so we found the process rather painful.
