SCAM!!!!!!!!!! If I can give zero stars I would. This company needs to be banned from doing business in Ontario. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! THEY USE REFURBISHED PARTS CHARGED AS NEW. The rep on the phone says the initial consultation is $80, but that turns into $280 + tax when they come. Parts are also SUBSTANTIALLY OVERPRICED. They took 2 months to come from the initial consultation (and already taking $900 to fix my microwave and oven), and they installed a faulty and severely scratched screen. They expected to be paid in full for a job that was not completed, and threatened to take us to court if we didn't pay. THIS IS AN ILLEGAL ENTERPRISE!!!

Complete scam. They get you on the $80 fee and add the 240 fee for labour, which technically I would agree with, but it’s the markup of the price of the part that’s criminal. Not double or even triple, try 10-15 times the cost. Cost to repair is not worth it. Better to buy new or call manufacturer for repair.

Never ever call them. Cheaters. No tools no parts no knowledge.Never trust on oral quotes. Don’t ever bother to open shoes while entering the house.

Well, add me to the list...80.00 arrival fee. Quoted 240.00 for labor, which would having the 80 absorbed into the 240.00. the 240.00would include any part installation cost. I am told it needs a sump inlet pump and the cost is 458.56 for the part! Considering Im 240.00 into it, I feel I have no choice. After the part installation, I google the part#...42.15. More then 1000% mark up!! I call Clarice. She says there is a a labor component in the part price. I tell her the tech said all labor is 240.00. She says sorry for the misscomunication, and, it is what it is...total scam, price guagers... do I feel stupid for not doing 5 minutes of research on these criminals...

If I could give less than one for review, I would have done so. They set you up. Cheap eighty dollar dispatch for a technician. Few minutes after arrival and opening the dishwasher he said it will be 280$ flat fees and no part needed. Half an hour later, technician find out that a part need to be changed which will cost 775$ on top of 280$. This will probably the cost of the new dishwasher. I had to pay the full labor although I was told earlier that parts are not needed and definitely didn’t trust the price of part or their service. I paid 300$ for absolutely nothing

Do not use Appliance Repair Team under any circumstances. They will quote a reasonable rate for a technician to be dispatched to your home which in MY case was $88.00 but once there the scam really accelerates. They will get you to sign a form. You will think you are signing for the repairs for $280.00 plus taxes but this is just for them to look at the appliance. It's ridiculous and was shocked to then have to pay $280.00 for 5 minutes spent by this technician to diagnose. We were lied to and scammed. Do yourself a big favor and avoid The Appliance Repair Team and possibly be aware they use other names as well. Honestly, I would not even give a one star review but I cannot post my review without doing so. I wish they would come out with a choice for leaving a negative star review. Good luck to all needing a repairman and be willing to wait for a reputable serviceman.

We called this company because they appear very high on a Google search for Bosch appliance repair. We needed the rubber seal on the front of a washing machine replaced. We had the part. They broke the door lock mechanism, and blamed it on a previous repair done by another company. That repair was four years ago, and the machine had worked just fine.
They came back to install a new door lock -- and blew the motherboard for the whole washing machine. The senior technician apologized to both of us, said it happens sometimes, and that the company would be in touch the next day to settle, paying for half of a new machine or replacing the motherboard for free. HA!
When I finally called them they told me to bugger off, that the whole problem was down to that previous repair even though the washing machine worked fine for years since then. The bottom line is we paid them $400 which they won't refund, and we have to pay $1500 for a new machine and then to have it installed.
Consumer Protection Ontario is investigating them and will provide some guidance to help if you've had a bad experience. If you type in the company's name and CBC Marketplace you'll find an episode one them. The BBB has an alert on them. Please look BEFORE you call.
PS I called Bosch and told them the story, and provided links to Marketplace and BBC etc. They sent details to their legal department to contact the company and force them to remove Bosch from the list of appliances they repair. You might want to do the same thing with your appliance's manufacturer if you've had a similar experience.

Kunj came to scam at my place , they tell you on the phone that $80 will be charged for the consultation to advise of the defect . And they ask for the payment prior to even look at the washer . They are big fraud and scammers . Please look at them and get my money refunded which Kunj has fraudulent taken fro me . We work hard to earn money to pay bills . These scammers goes to people house and fraud money . I pray to God to punish these people . I have reported to police about this fraud . Appliance repair concord company is big scam . Unfortunately I was also a victim of their scam, to fix the dryer at my rental unit. It’s a Blomberg dryer and it’s not giving out any heat. My tenant was naive and just called the first company that came up on google search. Technician came within a couple of hours and “diagnosed” the issue which required new parts. I was shocked when he quoted for the part, it was $700+. I didnt know any better and I wanted to fix the dryer for my tenant so I agreed. All in all I spent $1000 to fix a dryer (incl the $300 they charged for diagnosis and house visit). I could have spent the money to buy a brand new dryer. It also took almost 3 weeks to it fixed when the technician said it would be fixed within a week. Never ever ever use this company again. CBC marketplace did an episode on them and it really showed how sneaky and rotten they are. BEWARE!!!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! READ CREDIBLE REVIEWS SUCH AS THIS SITE OR THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. THEY USE SEVERAL DIFFERENT NAMES SO DO YOUR HOMEWORK IN ORDER NOT TO BE SCAMMED!!! THEY ARE SO UNETHICAL AND DISHONEST.

These guys are horrible. They came this summer to fix our dishwasher - it took over a month for them to get the part and then when the guys showed up the brand new motor was actually broken and he couldn't install it. He gave some BS story and said they would put a rush order in for a new motor. He came back in May and installed the new motor and now it's October and it already isn't working properly. It doesn't wash the dishes and now I have to re-wash everything when I take it out of the machine because it's full of stuck on food and gunk. I called them today and they said that the 30 day warranty has expired and I would have to book another service call for $50 and if the repair man found the part wasn't working we would have to pay full price for another motor! Horrible shady company - avoid!

I wish I could give a rating of less than one star. We hired Appliance Repair to service our washer and dryer. We had to stop the dryer and take the clothes out to allow the technician to service the dryer. He then informed me that in order to have the dryer to continue working we would need to replace a part which would be $600. I told him that I would think about it. I then returned downstairs to put the clothes back into the dryer. And the dryer no longer worked. After many phone calls and emails a technician came back to "fix" the problem. He told me that he couldn't fix it without the $600 part. The bloody dryer was working before he came to service it. I called back many times and was always reassured that they would look into it. Nothing

I had to purchase a new dryer.

In short, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. You will regret it.

DO NOT CALL APPLIANCE REPAIR TEAM- they are Scammers and they also use many different names, including appliance repairman. They was quoted $112.00 main board - Heating system $78.00 Safety system $90.00...when all he had to do was turn on the pilot light on the bottom drawer of my oven. I had to pay $80.00 plus tax to get the technician out of my home. See complaints with BB and CTV coverage on this company.

Smoke & Mirrors, Beware of this company!!!
They spend a fortune on SEO and have mastered the "Bait & Switch" scam to name a few of their scams.
They advertise same day service to suck you in, knowing the reputable repair company's are booked weeks in advance.
They charge $80.00 to show up, look at your washer for 5 mins & claim they Can Fix, But First you must sign their long agreement.

After you sign the agreement they then claim you need a $600.00 part. (The $600.00 part cost more than I could buy a new washer for.)

The technician said he could get it going for now without the part & we agreed. He claimed it was fixed but we tested it immediately after he left & it was NOT fixed!

The technician quickly pockets the money and leaves. And of course they only want you to pay by cash or debit, even though their website displays numerous pics of credit cards on it.

When you call them back to complain, they refuse to send another technician or refund your money!!! & hide behind the service agreement you signed.
This company is a total Fraud!!!
We have our doubts as to whether they are even capable of any repairs!
See our uploaded receipt $316.40 for NOTHING!

I want to give this a 0 rating, but in order to post and warn people NOT to use this company, I had to rate it 1 star. Similar to others' experiences, this company is completely dishonest. While they claim to 'waive the $80 fee' if you agree to their work, they will quickly inform you that it is $280 to begin any work and assess the issue. They then state you need parts, which they have significantly inflated the cost of. I ended up paying over $900 for a washing machine that was never fixed. I have filed complaints with Consumer Protection Ontario, the BBB and Consumers' Association of Canada and encourage all who have been scammed by this company to do the same. Please note they operate under many different names - Appliance Repair Team, Appliance Repairman, and A Team Appliance Repair.

Paid $432 & issue not fixed & wanted another $380?Want full refund & not accept $135.60 for compensation & sign waiver. BBB has given a timeline to reply. York Region Police incident report done. Small claims court if necessary.

Please consider this letter before you even call to this company.
My experience;
We made an appointment with this company, the person on the phone said that we have to pay $ 80 for a FULL diagnosis, or they can discount it if we sign a contract, we agreed on this and they gave us a time frame; the next day from 10 AM to 1 PM to find out what is the problem with our Bosch 500 series dryer. The next day we waited around 12:30 and called them again to find out why no one had appeared, receptionist told us that they made a time correction; from 2 PM to 5 PM (nobody warned us about any changes).
The repair man (he is just over twenty) appeared at about 2 pm, his diagnosis was; turn the dryer ON and after a couple of minutes turned back off, after which he noted that the heating element of the dryer is faulty and it needs to be replaced. In fact, I've known this before, even I've called them, but the difference now is, I have to pay $80 for it a few minutes of "diagnosis" or accept their terms and pay full price.
Discount 80, Labor costs 280, parts 486.24, and the total cost CAN 775.45 including tax.
They refused to make any adjustments to the price after we discovered that the spare part for this device costs only 112.87 US dollars, and we decided to terminate the contract, they stated that they will charge us labor cost (280) in accordance with the policy, even they did not do any labor.
