We spent over £70k with Ashley Ann & our experience has been truly awful. It is no wonder they insist on you paying for everything up front (including fitting). I will NEVER make that mistake again.

I’ll start with the 2 good points:

1. The team of fitters we had were absolutely amazing & did their very best to overcome the constant stream of errors made by Ashley Ann.
2. The experience of designing the kitchen was really good. Tammy in the Stirling store was fantastic at offering us guidance & ideas & we ended up with a design that we loved.

Now for the many bad points:

Unfortunately it became apparent on the very first day of fitting that the design we had agreed with Tammy would not work, as Ashley Ann’s measurements were out by 30 cm. We therefore had to make compromises, and this would not be the last time. Virtually every day there was another error or design flaw that had to be addressed. The list of errors they made is extensive & includes –

• Providing shelves where there was supposed to be drawers
• Providing cabinets that were the wrong size & colour, then the replacement cabinets also being wrong
• Providing shelves with random holes cut into them, then the replacement shelves coming with the exact same random holes but this time too short for our cabinet.
• Mirrored backsplash was made too big.
• LED lights throughout the kitchen not matching
• Having to replace glass shelves in our display unit with wooden shelves as they had again got the measurements & weight bearing calculations wrong.
• Having to move radiators due to miscalculations on sizes.

The above list is not exhaustive, as it was almost a daily routine for the fitters to be embarrassed telling us about the latest error.

To rub salt in the wound, Ashley Ann charged us a "restocking fee" for any items returned, even though it was their error that the items were being returned.

We were quoted a 2 week timescale for the installation, but due to their constant errors, it took 8 weeks to finish. We were without a working kitchen or bathroom for just over a month during this disaster, as we were effectively living in a building site.

The Stirling branch have acknowledged all these mistakes & have told us they “can only apologise” for our terrible experience. They were not remotely embarrassed about it, nor did they offer any sort of recompense. We therefore reached out to the national sales director in the hope that he would take our complaint more seriously. We spoke to him briefly on the phone & he asked us to send him a list of the various issues. We did that & after a week of silence from him I emailed again with the latest problems from the previous week. He sent a dismissive reply that basically said it is up to the fitters to fix.

Ashley Ann are charging premium prices but are not delivering value for money. Based on all the 5 star reviews we really expected a first class service from them but it has without doubt been the worst renovation experience we have ever had. While we expected to have one or two issues on such a big renovation, we simply weren’t ready for the sheer volume of errors from them. Replacing one faulty product with more faulty products just made it even worse.

If you are looking for your dream kitchen or bathroom, don’t use Ashley Ann. Instead think about using a company that doesn’t insist on you paying for everything up front. Once Ashley Ann have your money they are simply not interested.

UPDATE FOLLOWING ASHLEY ANN REPLY
Every change that was made was entirely due to errors from AA, either in the design or in the products provided. To suggest you did us a favour by making these changes "free of charge" is laughable.
The statement that you went "above and beyond the strict boundaries of our agreed works" should be really worrying for any other potential AA clients, as this suggests that fixing errors & problems you create is not part of your normal business practise.
It should also worry potential clients that you think an 8 week completion timescale is "reasonable", when you initially told us it would take 2 weeks.
A sign of a quality company is how they deal with clients when things go wrong. In this respect AA have shown their true colours by trying to suggest we are somehow to blame for the errors we encountered. Shame on you.

I moved home back in August and after a couple of months I decided I really couldn’t live with the colour of my kitchen. My property is open plan so the kitchen was in sight, all the time. As my kitchen was already an Ashley Ann product I called into their sales office in Inverness. I was greeted by a young man called Brodie Barnet. I explained I just wanted the doors, worktops, sink and any visual panels, a changed not the unit carcasses. I also wanted a new integrated fridge freezer. Brodie was excellent, he brought up the original drawings, we chose new colours etc and I was sorted. It was approximately six weeks later when delivery was made. The very next day the fitter (from Ashley Ann) arrived and two days later my kitchen was transformed. Excellent service and great customer service by Brodie. So quick, so easy and all done before Christmas. Thank you Ashley Ann. I’m delighted with the result and what a transformation.

Friendly advice at showroom & follow up phone calls to keep us updated on our order. We wanted to add to new kitchen fitted by builders in our new home.
Special mention to Ursula for planning and Rob who carried out initial measuring and fitting in time for Christmas.

Third time we have used Ashley Ann and as previously, the quality is top notch. Needed a wee bit of back forth and triple checking to get the exact design right, but all fell into place in the end. Not cheap, but, you get what you pay for and it will last for decades rather than a few years.

I am absolutely delighted with my new kitchen from Ashley Ann (Glasgow). Scott, the designer, was fantastic—his attention to detail and creativity made the whole process so smooth. Ross, the fitter, was equally impressive; nothing was too much trouble, and the workmanship is excellent. The whole experience was stress-free, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. Highly recommended.

Thank you to Beth for helping us to replace our bathroom, we love it. Beth's plans were made to our requirements and the fitters were top class. There was a few problems which added to the time scale but all were rectified. Paul was always helpful and Mia was great company.

We chose Ashley Ann Glasgow for the quality and finishes of the units and we were certainly not disappointed. Gavin dealt with our kitchen and we are delighted with it, also the fitters Iain and Gordon were brilliant. All round friendly service and would definitely recommend them.

We've been super impressed with Ashley Ann from the moment we stepped through the showroom door we instantly felt they were the right company to work with. We were made to feel so welcome by Tammy and she really listened to our needs. Tammy's design definitely reflected this and was just what we were looking for (and more!) Tammy's guidance, suggestions, patience and professionalism throughout the process was outstanding and the team of fitters (Sneddon Joiners, Steven, Chris & the team) were just brilliant, very reliable and professional too. We were very impressed with their attention to detail. The entire fitting process was seamless, slick and quick and they were very tidy too, leaving the work area in the garage just as they found it. We highly recommend Ashley Ann and would urge anyone looking for new kitchen to visit the Stirling Showroom and chat with Tammy, you won't be disappointed.

Ashley Ann Edinburgh Showroom
We have just had our kitchen designed by Maria Zabihifard from the Edinburgh Office and fitted by Sara Kheradmand and her team from 168 Interiors, and we are very happy with the result. Maria provided a wonderful crisp design and encouraged us to reroute some of the pipeworks which we had not previously considered. In doing so it has made the kitchen feel much more spacious. The quality of the units is very high and the execution of the fitting process was superb. Everyone we came in contact with from Ashley Ann and 168 Interiors was focused on delivering a high quality product to the customer’s complete satisfaction and this they have certainly done. If you live in the Stirling area and want a high quality kitchen and exceptional service then make an appointment with Tammy the Sales Designer. Not only is Tammy a talented designer she also has a great ‘can do’ attitude. Nothing is too much trouble for Tammy. Tammy provided exceptional service throughout the process. This was coupled with an exceptional installation team. Jonny and Gavin (joiners), Derek (plumber) and William (electrician) did a fantastic job of installing the kitchen.
It’s a no brainer if you want great quality and exceptional service then visit the Ashley Ann Showroom in Stirling.

After having the kitchen designed, made and fitted nearly 3 years ago, we always knew we would be going back when it was time to have the bathroom renovated, and Allyson, and the team have surpassed expectations again! We had a clear idea of what we wanted, Allyson is a great designer and just understands us. Kept up to date every step of the way, when the skip arrived for the rip out and demolition we were ready! Shaun and the fitting team have done an amazing job bringing the design to life and we couldn't be happier. We will definitely be going back again when it's time for the utility room to be gutted and re-designed. The units and fittings are just such great quality, really built to last. Fantastic products, fantastic customer service, happy customers.

Having got only one quote for a new kitchen before going to Ashley Ann we decided not to get the planned third quote as we were so impressed with the service we got on our first visit. Beth was so friendly, helpful and professional giving great advice and suggestions in planning what I wanted to include. We had prompt delivery and great service from a friendly professional fitting team all done in the estimated time. I have already recommended Ashley Ann to many friends

My joiner recommended the Stirling Branch - which was an excellent call! The staff were so helpful and patient through out the process from initial contact through to design, ordering, delivery and aftercare. No hurdles were too much for them. I love my kitchen and utility room - the units, the worktops, the choice of tiles and the technology.
