If I could give this company zero…. I would
If I could give this company zero stars, I absolutely would. We have been in business for over 15 years, successfully processing high-value transactions, including many around the same amount as this one — approximately $46,000. We provided everything required: a fully executed contract agreement with clear descriptions of the services, all signatures, and thorough documentation.
Despite doing everything by the book, this company chose to hold the funds and terminate our account with no valid explanation. Even more outrageous, they made this decision without even attempting to contact our client to verify the transaction.
Their “risk team” is completely unreachable by phone, hiding behind generic, dismissive emails with no clarity or accountability. But here’s the worst part: The funds have already been withdrawn from our client’s account, yet this company refuses to refund the money back to the client. Somehow, it was perfectly fine for them to authorize the withdrawal and pull the funds, but suddenly, there’s supposedly not enough authorization for the money to go where it was intended.
Their actions are borderline fraudulent and absolutely unprofessional. They are damaging business relationships and withholding massive sums of money with no justification.
Save yourself the stress, financial loss, and frustration — DO NOT trust this company with your transactions or your reputation

Use high caution if you are a business owner considering this platform. They will stop legitimate payments to your company from your clients and put it on hold. You are not able to get in touch with anyone there as they will only provide communicate via email, when they decide to communicate. I would highly recommend against this platform.

This is unacceptable this company are still working on business !!! My experience with this company that use North America Bank/ Sekure / services, they said is North American Bank is the company who make the charged. But the true that I never did business with North American Bank, The company who signed me out was Authorize.net. They robbed my money, I signed for a 10 cent for every transaction and $25 monthly fee. But this is not happening, they have been charged different fee per transaction and a hight monthly payment. I canceled the services with them, and they still charged me the last mont and this mont as well! The should be sue. So if you read this message just work together to get this company out of business ASAP.
Customer service agents lie
Customer service agents lie, they will tell you anything you want to hear to register your account. They tack on reserves after 1 chargeback (chargebacks are just part of life this day and age banks let anyone do it for any reason and people love to scam) They hold money for 7 business days.. so if you make a sale on a Monday your don't get the money until the following Wednesday. BUT they lie to you saying 3 days and never do it. Then they decide to stop processing for you but are happy to keep charging you fees. But seriously i got lied to by their customer service agents like at least 6 times.

Terrible company. Impossible to cancel. Stupid management. HORRIBLE. Tried to charge my company multiple months after we canceled in full and paid outrageous fee. Sent us to collections. Absolute horrible company. I couldn’t say 1 good thing about them.

Our first three transactions went…
Our first three transactions went smoothly, as normal and expected.
But they actually didn't.
All indications showed the transactions as approved and paid, with one little exception - the email receipts, which again, showed "Approved" on them, also had a little note - "Test mode" - seemingly harmless.
It wasn't until the funds should have hit our account and the Authorize.net rep reached out to see if we needed anything that I inquired about this "Test mode" marked on the transaction receipts. He then explained that "Test mode" meant the transactions hadn't actually gone through.
He then explained that it was our problem to deal with, that there was nothing they could do about it.
We're now out product, and have no way to embarrassingly go back to our customers and ask them to pay for their orders a second time.
Customers received a receipt that shows their order was paid for.
Shopify shows the order as paid for.
I have NOTHING to go back to our customers with other than a receipt that says, "Test mode" on it.
Authorize.net and Jordan Hastings have shown NO willingness to do anything to rectify these losses.
Customer service at an all time low
I have used authorize.net for over 20 years and they used to provide good service. But now, unfortunately they no longer do. After experiencing the worst customer service experience in many years I felt it best to leave a review so people will know the t it s best to avoid them completely and steer clear of authorize.net. While the have no problem charging you and taking fees from you they absolutely to do want to disperse funds to you. I basically have to just walk away from the funds that they have collected because I no longer have the time to keep chasing them down. Typical promise to resolve the issue one day then a completely different story the next day - no other customer has this experience they say- on and on. Even my bank laughed at Authorize.nets practices and recommended we switch merchant providers to a company that understands how banking works in the 21st century. I hope people read reviews and compare other companies offerings and you will see that there is no reason to ever deal with or associate your business with Authorize.net. I hope you save yourself the trouble and use a processor that is highly rated and modern.
don't waste your time
don't waste your time with this company, they never helped me after i was signed up and they took their money. now the want to send a bill for 64$ a year after a canceled the service
Authorize.net is less than helpful when…
Authorize.net is less than helpful when it comes to having issues with the credit card processor that they set my company up with. I have called numerous times, asking for them to put me in touch with the third party, and each time they tell me that they cannot give me that info. I am being charged a "Bankcard monthly fee" on an account that I have closed through Authorize, and I have no way to get ahold of this "bankcard" company to get them to stop. The bank I hold my business checking account has no contact information for this company either. My only option was to close my checking account. And I am out the $217.30 fee that "BankCard" charged me today, even though this account did not process funds last month and should not have been charged. Proceed with caution when dealing with Authorize and make sure you know who they set you up with to process your transactions.
Authorize.net are a nightmare…
Authorize.net are an absolute nightmare to work with as a small business. Claiming to be a secure and efficient gateway for payment actually translates into a Kafkaesque maze of disinformation and obstructive customer service that results in funds being withheld for ninety days for no justifiable reason. They operate on a principle of no accountability and no communication. They demonstrate no understanding or concern for the operations of small businesses. Do not trust this company to process your payments.
Comparing to Helcim, this is an excellent company
Comparing to Helcim, I would go with Authorize.Net any day. Yes, just like all payment processing companies, they need to make sure you not selling cocaine or doing something illegal like money laundering so they have to verify your account information.
After the initial verification, they have been great.
After using them for three months, I wrote them a review because they were asking. I wrote on there that besides the trouble with AMEX, this company is good. The next day, someone called and told me what I need to do to fix the AMEX problem.

It’s absolute nightmare to deal with this company. Their process to apply for extending refund period is inefficient and they deny you anyway. At the end we loose 3% credit card fees we pay on original transaction, and we have unhappy customers.
I was recently the victim of a scam
I was recently the victim of a scam, and Authorized.net is trying to hold me responsible for any funds that I was to receive from a job that I never had.
The scammer had me going through the process of creating a contract to make everything look like it was legitimate and I eventually caught on to what was going on, removed myself from it, by writing a formal letter of resignation. I have screenshots of all conversations and documents but Authorized.net puts you through so much. I even have a letter directly from them alerting to the scam but yet they keep sending me emails about funds owed. How am I owing them when the scammer was to pay me for a job, when there wasn't a job to begin with??! This has been going on a month now.
GARBAGE
GARBAGE. It's like doing business with the 1970s. Outdated, overpriced, deliberately confusing pricing policies. Rude and arrogant support staff. Hodl funds with no notice. Held $350 000 without even communicating due to an 'error' at their end. A joke.
Authorize.net is a scam
Authorize.net is a scam . I opened an account with them 130 days ago and after the first payment , they closed the account saying they were going to hold the funds for 90 days . I didn’t border I still shipped and incurred the loss . And after 90 days contacted them .
First customer service. Ooh I’m sorry we are sending the funds right way . After 10 days no funds
Called again . Second customer service oh I’m sorry the funds have just been sent now . Allow 5 business days
This is the 130th days and no funds and they say theresame thing every time I call
And the funds are more than $5000 .
Ridiculously bad
Due to project requirements I had to use their gateway for payments. I am shocked solutions like this exist and that this comes from a company that I thought is solid and reliable.
Merchant admin panel looks like windows 95 and doesn't even support viewing all transactions in a single list... Errors in documentation, incomplete information, severe security vulnerability in the SDK, which was lastly updated in 2021 (but most code is 8years old....)... Even formatting data for the api calls is a problem, as their "json" requires duplicate keys for lists. Api errors are incorrect, making you lose hours on "invalid login id" just to discover it actually was due to some other fields (they call it json again) being in the wrong order.
This is just unacceptable, please disable this service or hire 2-3 expert devs and a technical writer at least part time if you can't afford full time dev team for your 25$mo gateway fee
Bad Customer Service!
Bad customer service was about the worst I have ever seen! We have been with them for many years and it used to be very good, which is why I gave 2 stars versus 1. I called in about an excessive fee and one time reversal of the fee done in error. After being on the phone overseas somewhere, they said no. I asked for a supervisor, on hold for 15 more minutes totaling an hour and they said I have a supervisor on the line, and then the line went dead, I called back went through the verification process another 30 min, same deal same supervisor name and I said please don't hang up, and they did. I went on chat and created a ticket number 00124xxxx and asked a supervisor to call me back and they never did.
