I had 2 reservations with Avec in Izmir, in the beginning there was good service and I have received the car that I was promised. But on the second day on the way to Izmir, tires punctured on the highway but despite a heavy phone traffic and writing back and forth we have received absolutely no help! So I stood with my family on the emergency lane of the highway and waited 2 hours in the middle of the night!

As a result of no help we took a taxi back to the hotel. The consequence was that Avec canceled the next reservation the next day where we were going on a 5 hour long journey! So we had to find another carrental company and pay a lot of money to rent a car for our onward journey.

In the end Avec sent me a bill for 350 euros. In addition, the new rental car cost 550 euros! To add insult to injury, I have 280 euros on the reservation that Avec canceled and which I expect booking.com to refund to me!

But the frustration of the help we never received and the 2 hour wait on the highway in the middle of the night in no man's land was greater than the material cost! Therefore stay away from this company!

I book 2 weeks car rental by online and filled my flight info, my flight is delayed to next day and i try to call avec to let them know the delay, they only answer 8-5 phones thats why i had no luck, itry to sorted online but the website useless , asking my phone number to sent tex message but text never comes so thats why no chance to do online
I spoken them nexday morning and they are saying my booking is cancelled and they take %20 fee of whole booking , if i want to book again they charge me much more extra to make new booking,
Dear avec if you not follow my flight why you ask my flight details. If you cancel my booking why do i have to pay %20 which is for 2 weeks booking alotof money.

Terrible service! We rented a car in Bodrum airport, a week after when we were in Fethiye, the car gave as engine fault and need to be repaired, air conditioner stop working and it is July we are talking about.
After spending more then 2 hours trying to call this terrible company, we finally got to talk with them and they proposed to drive the car back to Bodrum from Fethiye ( 4 hours drive ) and get a new one. That sounded like a crazy advice to us. To drive 4 hours in the car with a fault engine. When we refused to do it and reminded to Avec, that it is standing clear on their site, that they suppose to give us a new car. They promised to call back and never did. Now we are standing with a faulty car. Terrible company, never rent from them.

Wir haben im März 2024 einen Mietwagen bei Avec gebucht und direkt in voller Höhe per Kreditkarte bezahlt. Bei unserer Ankunft am Airport ADM Izmir am 11.07.24 teilte uns die Station vor Ort mit, dass wir uns um 3 Stunden verspätet hätten und wir deshalb kein Auto mehr bekommen würden. Der Umgang des Herren an der Station war äußerst unfreundlich und absolut nicht wohlwollend. Geld kassiert nix passiert. Ende vom Lied: Wir sind zur Konkurrenz (Erboy!) und haben uns ein neues Auto gemietet. Und dort erlebten wir das krasse Gegenteil: Super freundliche Mitarbeiter, äußerst zuvorkommend und wohlwollend. Zuvor hatten wir bereits auch positive Erfahrungen mit Cizgi gemacht.

Ein gut gemeinter Tipp: Geht bitte direkt zu seriösen Autovermietungen. Wer bei Avec mietet, ist selbst schuld. Selbst 1 Stern ist zu viel für Avec!

The experience was far below any acceptable standard at Istanbul Airport.

Upon arrival to pick up the car, I found your employee at the counter to be both unpleasant and rude. He took my two credit cards and held them in front of his screen for several minutes. After several attempts to use the cards, he claimed they were blocked and could not be used to pay the remaining 700 euros.

When I asked to cancel the entire booking so that another person in my party could book again and pay with their credit card, he informed me that this was not possible and that the price would now be over 1000 euros. As a result, we went to Europcar, where we immediately got the same SUV for 600 euros. My credit cards still did not work there either.

While we were waiting, I received a call from my banks in Norway. They had blocked the cards because your employee had attempted to withdraw over 27,000 NOK, equivalent to 2400 euros, from each card. In total, there were attempts to withdraw 4800 euros, which is completely unacceptable.

I was extremely upset and went back to the AVEC counter. After five minutes, the employee was gone, and another employee who was there pretended not to speak English, even though we had heard him speaking English earlier.

My banks in Norway have now reported the case and forwarded it to the Turkish police.

Because of this attempted theft, my biggest challenge now is that I am on vacation without any functioning bank cards, as both are blocked. Had I not traveled with others, I would not have been able to continue my vacation. Thank you for the extremely poor service experience and for ruining my entire vacation. I now have no access to my bank cards and therefore cannot buy anything due to your actions.

Bu araç kiralama şirketi tam bir rezalet. Uçağım 12 saatten fazla geciktiği için rezervasyonumu iptal ettiklerini söylediler ama ben önceden haber vermeme rağmen iptal ettiler. Üstelik her şey ödenmişti. Bu rezil hizmeti kesinlikle kullanmayın! Telefonda "yardımcı olurum" diyen kişi kesinlikle yardımcı olmadı, resmen dalga geçildiğimi hissettim. Mecburen, rakipleri Wish'ten bir araç kiraladım.

Ayrıca, bu tam bir rezalet! 20% kesinti yaptılar ve gişedeki kişi beni uyarmadı, ardından da 500 euro daha fazla ücretle yeni bir araç teklif etmeye cüret etti.

Cette société de location de voiture est une honte. Mon avion a eu plus de 12 heures de retard et ils ont annulé ma réservation malgré que je les ai prévenus. Tout était déjà payé. N'utilisez surtout pas leurs services pitoyables ! La personne au téléphone qui m'a dit "yardımcı olurum" (je vais vous aider) n'a absolument rien fait pour m'aider, je me suis senti complètement méprisé. J'ai donc dû louer un véhicule chez leurs concurrents, Wish.

De plus, c'est une honte ! Ils m'ont coupé 20% du prix et la personne au comptoir ne m'a pas averti, puis a eu le culot de me proposer un nouveau véhicule à 500 euros de plus.

We are a married couple and have 1 credit card, the details where not the same as the reservation and we didn't get the car. Saldo was not an issue.

I booked a car from Edremit airport for 2rd June with pick up time 10.00 am, my flight arrival time unfortunately changed to 14.30pm. AVEC can not change the pick up time I can also not change the time, the second driver can not pick it up. No solution the advise is to cancel it and make a new booking for actual condition. This seems to be a funny company inflexible and not service oriented.

I rented from Avec car rental online, through Kayak, paid full amount plus full coverage. As soon as I got to the Avec rental at Antalya airport the employee told me I had to pay another $125 because I booked the rental online not through them. I called Kayak where I purchased the rental online, and they told me i wasn’t the first complaint. They take advantage of foreigners.

Extremely Dissatisfying Rental Experience with Avec Rent a Car in end of January 2024

I had a very bad experience with Avec Rent a Car Istanbul Airport in end of January 2024 when I rented a car for a one-day trip. Despite taking full insurance, the entire rental experience turned out to be a nightmare.

I was provided with a Citroen, but from the moment I started driving, the car exhibited issues, shaking and squeaking throughout the journey. Unfortunately, my tight schedule on the one-day trip didn't allow me the luxury of returning the car immediately.

The real trouble began when I decided to refuel the car before returning it. At the petrol station, I noticed a problem with the fuel indicator on the dashboard—it wouldn't show the tank as full even after filling up. Seeking to rectify this, I went the extra mile and asked the petrol station attendant to ensure the tank was filled to the maximum. Shockingly, as we approached the maximum level, diesel started leaking out of the tank, yet the indicator still failed to register a full tank.

Desperate to resolve the issue, I attempted various actions, such as turning the car on and off and locking and unlocking it, but nothing seemed to work. With time constraints, I had no choice but to proceed to Avec Rent a Car to return the faulty vehicle.

Upon explaining the situation to the Avec staff during the return, including providing receipts from the petrol station and highlighting the indicator malfunction, I was assured that there would be no issues and that my deposit would be returned the following week.

To my dismay, the next day, I discovered unauthorized charges of over £130.95 on my account, accompanied by an additional mysterious charge of £8.27. Adding insult to injury, my bank slapped on an extra £4 for a non-sterling fee.

This entire ordeal not only left me frustrated with the malfunctioning car but also deeply dissatisfied with Avec Rent a Car's customer service and integrity. I expected a refund for the deposit, but instead, I was hit with unexplained charges, leaving me questioning the transparency and professionalism of Avec Rent a Car.

My message to anyone considering Avec Rent a Car: Be wary. Don't be enticed by what initially seems like a good deal, as the hidden costs and poor customer service may end up costing you twice as much.

Bad experience with this rental company - I booked a car from Avec cars rental using rentalcars.com site. Everything was fine at the beggining, but firstly they gave me child seat for older kids, not fitted to my baby, and secondly - when one day left to rental period, they took 44 euros from my credit card, as they explained "for extra day", but I have returned the car 12 hours earlier, than needed. After complain for rentalscars.com, they returned not full amount of money.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Auto war in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Abholung und Rückgabe funktionieren ansstandslos.

Niet bij huren want ze houden zonder goede reden bedragen in van je creditcard. Bij mij ruim 2150€ extra omdat er een ongeluk was gebeurd met schade die overigens volledig gedekt is door de tegenpartij.
Bij inleveren werd beloofd dat alles binnen 1 week recht getrokken zou worden en nu na de week verstreken is niets meer vernomen en krijg ook geen antwoord meer van hun.

Tutto perfetto: rapida gestione della consegna / restituzione del veicolo, rapido sblocco del deposito (che tra l'altro era una cifra molto ragionevole), nessun tentativo di vendere altre assicurazioni, veicolo in perfette condizioni e pulizia (unico neo il display in turco, sarebbe pratico averlo già impostato in inglese), facilità nel trovare lo stand Avec, personale competente e disponibile. Una ottima esperienza di noleggio auto, probabilmente la migliore avuta sinora. Ottimo rapporto qualità / prezzo.

They don't have the childseat I booked when I picked up the car. They said that I'll be refunded with the cost of the childseat but they didn't.
Also they charged a fuel tax for returning back the car empty while I returned it back full, even I had the petrol station receipt.
They don't answer the complaints.

Excellent service and would recommend.
The car was in excellent condition , zero excess was included .
The staff were excellent and explained the contract in English.
The deposit was 3000lire (€90) which was refunded a few days after the hire.
Returning the car the employee gave us a lift back to the international terminal .
The only reason this is not a 5 star review is the desk at Bodrum airport is in the domestic terminal - 10min walk and you need to queue through security to get there .

Dis hatlardan kimse sizi karsilamiyor. Orda sora sora ic hatlar bolumune yurumek zorundasiniz (15 dakika). Bavullar ve cocuklarla o sicakda oraya kadar yuruyorsunuz. Ic hatlara geldiginizde ofise ulasmak icin polis ve bavul kontrolunden gecmek zorundasiniz. En az bir 15 dakikada orda bekliyorsunuz. Ofise geldigimizde islemleri yapmamiz yine bir yarim saatimizi aldi. Rezervasyon numarasindan bulamadilar. Islemleri yaptikdan sonra hicbirsey anlatilmiyor. Nelere dikkat edilmesi gerektigi anlatilmiyor yada elinizie hicbir bilgi verilmiyor. Herhangi bir durumda bizi arayin demekle yetiniyorlar. Arabayi teslim almak icin yine butun yukunuzle baska bir yere yonlendiriyorlar. Oraya gitmek de yine bir 10 kakikanizi aliyor. Arabayi teslim alirken, ckeck-in yapan kisi elindeki ipad ile fotograf cekiyor ama sadece kendisinin belirledigi noktalari cekiyor. Diger yerleri soyledigimde "abi onlar onemsiz"diyor. Kesinlikle kendiniz de fotograf cekin. Benim odedigim araba ile aldigim arababanin kategorileri farkli. Bana verilen araba daha ucuza kiraliyorlar. Sordugumda da "abi bunlar ayni kategori" demekle yetiniyorlar. Arabaya bindigimde benzin gostergesi ceyrek depo dusukdu. Bunu sordugumda "abi gosterge bozuk" dediler. Toplamda 329 km yol yaptim ve arabayi teslim ederken 21 litre benzin almak zorunda kadim ve gosterge de dolu gosteriyordu. Dizel bir arabanin 329 km de 21 litre bezin yakmasi imkansiz. Burdan da bile bile sizi kandirdiklari ortaya cikiyor. Arabayi teslim etmeden bir gun once park yerinde birileri arabayi cizmis ve kacmis. Ne yapmam gerektigini sormak icin aradigimda bana TUTANAK tutturmaniz yeterli denildi. Jandarmadan tutanak tutturdum. Arabayi teslim etmeye gittigimde tutanak gecersiz deyip butun hasarin parasini benden kesmek istediler. Ben olayi anlattigimda bana yanlis yonlendirilmissiniz sizi geri arayip cozecez dediler. Kisacasi, bana gore cok kotu, kesinlikle hizmet anlayisi olmayan, insanlari iyi yonlendiremeyen, sadece paraya odaklanmis bir sirket. Hic tavsiye etmiyorum.

Avec car rental is the moat worst rental company we arrived to istanbul airport about 11 and we waited an hour for them to make the papers as stupid system where they ask about all information again eventhough they already have it all when we booked online inaddition there was 2 slow employees!!! When we went to take the car there was also only 2 emloyees serving many customers and customers were bothered and board because we waited one more hour to get our car!!
On the next day a message appeared on the car screen to add blue liquid to the car but we didnt understand what does it mean ...we message the call center on the whatsapp number found on their website as it was written 24/7 but he didnt answer us at all!!! After few days we went from izmitbl to uldag mountain to have fun and suddenly the car didnt work ...we tried 8 hours to contact them they answer just few times but seriously they didnt do anything.
A person there took us to a petrol station which was 40 away from the car and he took 1000 turkish lira and also the car didnt work.... A turkish person called the service company where he know someone there and they came and took us to bursa to the service company and we told them we have no place to stay and also they ignored!!! Me my husband and 2 children in the street and then a friend from istanbul booked us a night in bursa!! We payed more money because of them and it was a night mare!! The next day after contacting them 100 times at last they send another car to the hotel.
I dont recommend to rent from such horrible company which doesnt care about her customers!!

I was surprised by the Customer service and the fleet of late model vehicles available to me at both Ankara airport and Bidrum-Milas airports.

Everything was streamlined and disclosed. Images of the vehicle and if any Existing damage is evident, noter down. As long as you treat the vehicle 8n your possession like your own, there is obviously no issues. Excess reduction was covered by my travel insurance , so I did not need a second cover.
