I booked through EconomyCarRentals who provided glowing reviews of AVEC. Since coming back home, I sent a review to this company and never even received an acknowledgement.
I booked car rental from AVEC from Antalya airport, Turkey, arriving at Terminal 2 with the instruction to go to the AVEC office in Arrivals in the same terminal. It was quite late and their office was closed. I went outside arrivals to see if there was someone from AVEC waiting to pick us up. No one !!! I went along the kiosks beyond Arrivals to see if there was anyone there. No help. No one spoke English so I made a sign with my name and AVEC and walked along the crowd of people waiting outside Arrivals, all with signs for people arriving. After a long time a man tried to converse with me but I couldn’t understand him. He called a colleague across and he spoke a few words of English. He said “AVEC Terminal 1 – taxi” and he pointed to taxis a little distance away. Got a taxi and paid Euros €5.00. The taxi brought us to Departures Terminal 1 , being unable to drop us off at Arrivals and we had to walk to Arrivals. Went through the whole process again. No one was waiting for us. I went to all the kiosks beyond arrivals and eventually got someone who could speak a little English. She called a colleague and he said” See that green light in the distance, that’s where AVEC is. We eventually got to their office. My wife and I are 76 years old, not in great health, exhausted, stressed out of our minds and having difficulty with the hot evening air and pulling our luggage from one place to the other .
We went into the office and told the clerk about what had happened. He “Well, you are here now !!!!!” It had taken us one hour 30 minutes to get to him.
When I left the car back I mentioned this to the lady behind the counter. She didn’t even lift her eyes from what she was doing – dealing with a very irate customer whom she was trying to charge a fully prepaid car rental for the same sum again! She said to me, “Should have phoned” and not another word. On pick up and return the AVEC staff didn’t care about us. There was no instruction to phone on the voucher. My mobile wasn’t set up for Turkey.
We have travelled the world, hired very many cars and never experienced such shoddy service. You would need to be out of your mind to book with AVEC.

Wir haben ein Fahrzeug mit Kindersitz gemietet, für unsere 3 stündige Weiterfahrt. Dieser wurde jedoch nicht reserviert und wir hatten keinen Kindersitz, aber das Geld haben sie kassiert. Uns wurde vorgeschlagen einen Umweg von 1.5h zu machen um an einem anderen Flughafen einen Sitz zu holen, welcher schlussendlich auch nicht verfügbar war. Miserabler service, keine Hilfestellung. Nicht zu empfehlen!

20 years plus travelling with around 5 airport rentals each year, this is the First time in many years that an airport rental transaction went ever so smoothly.Excellent VW passat literally brand new car and one of only few times ever to actually recieve the car booked as normally always recieve something else in same category, Car loaded with fresh cold water bottles and mini perfume sprays booked car, excellent idea as this time of year on mid October still very hot and humid and tiring after getting through airport.
Booked through economycarrentals.com, despite some bad reviews decided to go ahead as they were the only one who actually seemed to have the car I was after and worst case i knew there were many other reputable rental companies outside terminal ive used before at Antalya airport.
This booking has an awesome review simply down to one thing. THE STAFF at Avec were absolutely amazing and above and beyond, the staff when checking car out, when returning the car for a change of car as my trip was extended and then finally the staff when returning the car back for drop off
AVEC senior manages or head office please understand when i say this, you should be really proud of the staff and people you have working for as big companies sometimes forget the litte front office staff who are actually dealing with your day to day customers and these staff members are the face of your company, I must specially mention by name your Employee Deniz, he is and absolute credit to your company and has left a very good ever lasting impression, and its because of him i am compelled to write this review, the way he looked after my parents, myself and helped with all extra information, and then when i came to exchange the car for another, everything was made ever so easy, he is the main reason i would recommend to all my friends and family and always now try and book a car at Antalya airport always through Avec, i am coming again on February 26th 2023 for 10 days and will definitely be coming back to you
Security deposit all returned back few days after i got back to UK, no issues whatsoever, absolute pleasure to deal with and have certainly restored my faith in car rental companies as many times its just a stressfull anxious experience

I rented a car from Avec, I wrote an excellent review, everything was excellent. I was told that I will get a refund and notice of what they deducted from my 1500 Lira deposit; within 10 days, by now it has been a month since I left Istanbul on 18/7/2022, and I got nothing, nor even an email telling me of what I was charged with, in terms of tolls.

By the way, when I returned the car at IST airport, the car was clean, no damages, and I was cleared by the employee who received the car. The fuel was more than what was in the car when I rented it. So nothing should be deducted except the tolls.

Ontvangst zeer slecht. 1,5u wachten op een auto . Erg onvriendelijk. Telefoon wordt niet beantwoord. Kinderstoel 3 jaar besteld . Was niet aanwezig maar moet wel betaald worden. Zeker niet weer Avec.

Tourist be aware! I made a reservation for a Audi A3 and was told online age limit is 22-99 years old and price was for $306/7days Once I arrived to Istanbul airport to pick up the vehicle everything was going smooth until they noticed I’m a tourist and then stated “they couldn’t rent me the Audi A3 because u have too be 24 years old minimum. & when I asked them well then what car can I get? And they stated “Audi A3” Which was literally the car they said they couldn’t rent due to age.

Anyways they told me $108/week so I figured idk what they doing here but they confusing me but at same time I’m getting lower price. After I signed everything I noticed the bill said around $350-$390 but when I checked my credit card I was charged $390 & $86 twice so a total of $562 !!! They don’t speak English well and will try to confuse you & rip you off. I spoke them the rental return person but again they barley speak English and don’t know what your saying.

Alles super. Von der Buchung über Wisecars, zur Übernahme am Flughafen und zur Rückgabe alles einwandfrei.

Wagen war in einem super Zustand. Nette Mitarbeiter. Schnelle Rückgabe. War meine zweite Anmietung bei Avec Car Rental.
