This is a total scam website. Masquerade as handcrafted hedgehog houses - all we want to do is help the wildlife and they are exploiting and stealing money. Spoof royal mail 48 hour tracking link arrives but no hedgehog houses. Will now need to try and get refund through bank. Obscene these people exist ripping people off. Do not use this site. Like others, if only I had checked here first. Just took my eye of the ball....

This is indeed a fraudulent company. In the UK, they have a London mailing address but the phone number is based in the US. I called that numder 4 times after they failed to ship my order. No answer. No response to my emails. Do not buy anything from them!

If I could I would give a review of 0. This is a scam .. pay premium dollar and get an item that comes from the $2 store. Absolutely ripped off (stupid me) I wish I had read the reviews before buying anything on this rup-off scam website. DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!!!!!

Backroad Goods is a scam.
The company spins a story about Australian artisans who can no longer do their craft, due to neuropathy, or some other problem with their hands. The goods are supposedly beautiful, handcrafted pieces.
When you receive them, they are trash from China. When you contact the company on the email given, you are told to send the goods back to China, at your expense.
Steer clear of this company.

Wow! I ordered what I thought were handmade ghosts( a set of 3) in my home state. The mailing process was long, like 3 weeks. When the ghost(singular) arrived the LED lights(provided) did not work. I contacted back roads goods and their customer service was the worst, they avoided, denied and told me I could only get 30% back if I paid to mail the item back to China. Avoid this company like the plague they are charlatans.

I ordered before the Trustpilot reviews started. Cash spent. Royal Mail tracking number suggests that everything's okay until a week goes by and UK goods haven't made it to the post office. Feels like a scam site. Have chased for the goods, reported the transaction to my bank, also reported to the merchant host. Not holding my breath for either UK goods or a refund.

To anyone reading this, contact your bank immediately and do a charge back. Report, report, report.

Buyer beware - the product (bag) was nothing as described on the site - nothing appliqued just a printed quilted material stitched in large stitch - I contacted them after my purchase as it took a long time for contact from them over delivery and have now contacted them for a return label and a refund

This is I think a fraudulent company. I live in Devon and was drawn in by the wonderful description of a hedgehog house made by an old gentleman living in Devon who was now giving up making the houses as he had developed some problem with his hands. I paid what I consider over the odds for the house but to date it has not appeared. Do not be drawn in as I was. They tell you to track in on SHOP app which also looks dubious to me so I haven’t done that. They do give you a Royal Mail tracking reference but a week on Royal Mail are still waiting to receive it. Something may turn up but I suspect it will be from China and not good. When, or if, this turns up I will update my review but I strongly believe I have been scammed. Nasty, nasty people and silly old me

Scam website. However you so receive a product, just not what you order or what they claim to be selling!

Items purchased were received and NOT as advertised. Cheap plastic instead of metal. For a full refund I was told I had to
Pay for ship to Hong Kong or was offered a 25% then a 35% refund to keep items.
They are worthy of the trash can and this site purposefully advertised with false information.

This company should be banned from conducting business in the United States. Everything it sells is junk from China and never even comes close to the descriptions it publishes.

The products are not!! handmade...they come from a factory in China and the ceramic flowers are rubbish...this is a scam website!!

Bought 2 bee houses believing the lovely story about the retiring old guy hand making them. Arrived from Hong Kong - obviously factory made. Return to Hong Kong at my expense. This is not an honest company. Wish I’d checked these reviews before purchasing.

I discovered that my credit card was used for a bogus purchase. I have never purchased anything from this company. I would like to know how my credit card was used without the CCV code.

Just like the other reviews, this hedgehog house purportedly hand-made in Devon is a piece of cheap rubbish made in China. I can't believe I fell for this scam too. Do not buy anything from these thieves!

This is yet another scam where cheap Chinese made goods purport to be artisan made good quality things. I can't believe I fell for this. The same item (hedgehog house, supposedly made by a hedgehog expert about to retire) could be bought on Amazon for around £25 and I paid £90. Came with no instructions, which were promised. More fool me.

Ordered handcrafted wooden items. Got Plastic, product rubbish. Fear I will not be able to return. Ripped off totally.

I too ordered a hedgehog house. It arrived not as described, shoddy, falling apart & totally unfit for purpose. I too was told to return to Hong Kong or get 25% refund. Feeling VERY foolish.
