Ordered the large setup cockpit monitor stand along with modular add ons - phone stand, iPad stand, large tray and some universal accessories as well like the pen stand, laptop dock and catch all trays - all in walnut colour/wood.(from Germany all the way to India)

The overall experience - right from placing the order to the shipping and tracking updates, the delivery lead time (reached me in under 10 days) to the product design and quality and the ease of installation - everything was top notch. The materials used, the modular design and the way that everything fits together seamlessly and just works! - all world class.

Avoid if you’re outside Germany. You pay German VAT and the tax and import charges again. Nowhere is this made clear in the checkout journey. Poor experience

I bought a medium Setup Cockpit and a large tray attachment, plus a large catch-all tray to go in it. It's nice stuff, although the accessories seem very expensive for what they are. Just beware, if you're buying from the UK, that you'll be paying slightly more than a German resident would, even though their price includes German VAT and is the final price they'll pay, whereas in the UK you'll then also have to add UK import duty, VAT and an additional courier charge for handling this - in other words you'll be paying German VAT unnecessarily in addition to the required UK VAT, although I suspect Balolo will keep it because to the best of my knowledge, German VAT is not payable on overseas sales.

I absolutely love my Balolo Desktop Monitor Stand.

The design is top notch, the packaging and shipping were excellent even though it takes a minute to get to the US from Germany. :)

Was about to purchase from here, thankfully i read the reviews first, even after all these UK reviews it seems the company still has not highlighted the customs fees at checkout.

Despite the price of entry being a bit high, the quality of BALOLO goods is impeccable, and I've already placed my second order for more office/desk furniture and accessories. Their team is responsive and friendly by email, their website is well done, and I'm absolutely in love with their products. Design and craftsmanship are second to none.

I sent a question about getting the VAT of as I live in a country that is not an EU member state. I got an email saying they were looking into this matter. Shortly after I was informed that the IT department was looking further into the matter but they offered to create an pro forma invoice and options to transfer directly. I transferred the amount and got the shipment just 3 days later (if not counting the weekend) and that is fast compared to what we are used to in my country. The customer service is superb and really quick. I will recommend to everyone with a home office!!

Der Schreibtisch erscheint seit dem in einem neuen Licht. Alles ist aufgeräumt und sachlich positioniert.
Die Gegenstände sind qualitativ hochwertig verarbeitet. Ich werde meinen Arbeitsplatz mit weiteren Produkten von BALOLO sukzessive erweitern.

Absolut stimmiges System, alle Komponente durchdacht und einfach in der Installation. Schreibtisch wurde fast komplett mit Balolo ausgestattet. Zudem nette Kommunikation.

The question that probably every first-time BALOLO customer asks themselves: Is it really worth the price? I asked myself the same thing – over and over again. I looked at countless configurations, hesitated, and finally placed my order.

Today, I can say it was absolutely the right decision. I work mostly from home, and every time I look at my desk, it just makes me happy. Everything is tidy, the iPad floats elegantly thanks to the Floating Stand, the Deskmat creates a clean overall look, and the MagSafe holder for my iPhone has become a must-have. No cables lying around – everything is well thought out.

The quality? Outstanding. The wood, the metal – everything feels premium and is crafted with great attention to detail. It truly feels built to last.

By now, I’m a real BALOLO fan – and why not? This setup brings me joy every single day. Highly recommended!

Ich habe vor einigen Monaten mein Setup Cockpit Large in Schwarz gekauft und bin sehr, sehr zufrieden. Der Preis ist natürlich schon etwas hoch, so ehrlich muss man sein, aber ich finde es absolut genial, da ich so einen viel besser organisierten und aufgeräumten Schreibtisch habe, an dem ich jeden Tag mind. 8h arbeite. Das Geld war es mir auf jeden Fall wert. Ich will demnächst auch noch ein paar Add-ons kaufen, da muss ich noch schauen, was für mich passt. Aber alles in allem bin ich mehr als happy und finde die Preis-Leistung absolut in Ordnung - kann aber wie gesagt auch verstehen, wenn sich potentielle Käufer durch den hohen Preis abschrecken lassen. Aber wie so oft im Leben hat Qualität nunmal seinen Preis. 5 von 5 Sterne von mir!

Ja kann man Bestellen! Nach einer Falschlieferung und diversen Mails kam die Ersatzlieferung an und als Entschädigung wurde mir sogar ein Goodie angeboten. Lieferung erfolgte zügig und der Support war stets bemüht das Problem zu lösen.

Durch einen TikTok-Influencer bin ich auf Balolo aufmerksam geworden. Die Produkte sahen auf den Bildern bereits äußerst hochwertig aus, und auch andere Influencer lobten die Qualität. Das hat mich neugierig gemacht – und ich muss sagen: Meine Erwartungen wurden sogar übertroffen.

Ich habe mir mehrere Produkte von Balolo gekauft und bin absolut begeistert. Das Holzdesign ist nicht nur optisch ein Highlight, sondern fühlt sich auch unglaublich edel an. Die verwendeten Materialien sind hochwertig verarbeitet, was sich direkt in der Haptik und Langlebigkeit widerspiegelt.

Angesichts dieser Qualität finde ich den Preis mehr als gerechtfertigt. Balolo liefert nicht nur stilvolles Design, sondern auch echte Premium-Qualität. Da ich mein Setup bald erweitern werde, steht für mich jetzt schon fest: Ich werde wieder zu Balolo greifen. Absolute Empfehlung!

The first time I heard about balolo was some time ago on a YouTube Video. I remember that I checked the website immediately but my first thoughts were like „I’m not gonna spend that kind of money on a monitor stand! :D“ But I really liked the products so I couldn’t let go of it. I revisited the site from time to time, added some products to the card but I never pressed the checkout button.

Until recently … and I really don’t regret it!

I’m a freelancing graphic designer and I work from home most of the time, so I’m very happy with my beautiful new setup. Beside the aesthetics, I love that everything is cleaner and not as chaotic as it was before. It helps me to concentrate on my work. And I really like the modular system. It took me some time and attempts to find the perfect setup for myself and I’m glad that I could change everything so quick and easily.

And you can immediately tell about the high quality of the products: the wood looks and feels very beautiful and the metal components are massive and heavy. So I expect them to last for a very long time.

The service is also great. Until now, I ordered two times and both times the shipment already arrived on the next day (I live in Germany). The packaging is very minimalistic but with a nice personal touch to it (there’s a litte name-stamp from the person responsible for the product). One time I had to contact the customer service and they replied very quick and friendly.
I like all the products that I ordered so far but I have to give special shoutouts to the Laptop Dock, the Cable Magnets and the To-Do Holder.

The dock really cleared a lot of space (I put it at the back of the Cockpit), the magnets are very cool to put my charging cables exactly where I need them and since I’m old school about notes, I just love the To-Do Cards. Now I don’t have to write my notes on some old envelopes that fly around my chaotic desk.

You see, I’m a fan and will certainly come back for more. It’s quite addictive to be honest! :D

I spent months debating whether to get this setup—mostly staring at the price tag and wondering, “Is it really worth the premium?” Well, after a couple of weeks with it, I can confidently say: HECK YES! 🎉 Every time I go to my computer I smile, now everything is organized and looks amazing!

I knew I didn’t want something mass-produced in China; it had to be built within the EU. So, I took the plunge and dropped 600€ on my setup. Was it a bit of a splurge? Absolutely. Was it worth every cent? 100%! Quality comes at a cost - but you get full value here.

Setup was a breeze (seriously, even my dog looked impressed), and once everything was in place, I just stood there, admiring it like a proud parent. The feel, the quality, the look—this is top-tier craftsmanship, no doubt about it. Even the packaging was nice.

And now? Well, I’m officially hooked on Balolo! I already have my eyes on the speaker stands… but let’s be real—I need to let my bank account recover first. 😆💸 - but thats not Balolo's fault :-)

Very poor. Avoid. No mention of custom charges on website or at any point in the sales process. This is false advertising. Going to cost me an additional 30% to get it released, which makes what is just a dice of wood very very expensive. Avoid this business

If purchasing from the UK be prepared to pay an additional 30% on the advertised purchase price due to customs duty, a clearance fee and import VAT. E.g. on my order of £329.60, an additional charge of £96.28 was due. When making a purchase on the website this is not made clear, nor on the confirmation e-mails sent by the company. They simply state it is for us to know this in advance and not within their control.

It would be helpful if they added a qualifying statement that the order "may be subject to local taxes" when a customer is making a purchase (and not hidden on a different webpage) so as to be clear to the customer. I would expect this from a premium company such as this.

NB - I have amended the review to increase star rating because after further engagement with customer services Balolo did kindly agree to pay 50% of the charges due.
