I am so excited for this part of my journey to improve myself!! This is a great program and very nice people. They KNOW what this journey consists of.

When I decided to move forward with bariatric surgery I knew I wanted support & accountability for myself. When I found Shenelle & the Rewrite I knew I hit the gold mine and their Whole Foods approach aligned with my personal philosophy. They go above & beyond in support. You have a community of support too. The coaches answer texts within minutes. All the coaches have been through the process. They are honest with you, good, bad & the ugly. They truly care about your personal journey. All journeys are unique. I started with the rewrite before surgery & couldn’t be happier that I invested in myself to become a healthier version of myself. I highly recommend The Rewrite at any point in your journey. You are worth it!

I had my surgery (sleeve) in 2019, had some serious medical issues right after for almost 6 months, then 4 months later moved from Illinois to Texas. I didn’t get the proper help I needed after my surgery. I attempted to try and live with this new tool but I didn’t do so well, gained 50 pounds back. Tried another diet and lost 50lbs in 4 months and got my skin removal done and then guess what gained my 40 lbs back….i did the protein powders, bars, no sugar added syrups, but not losing anything. I plain and simple did not know how to eat. I have learned in a short time how to do without the fluff that I thought I needed…I am eating real foods, back to tracking my meals and being accountable for my actions not just by others but by myself!!! This is the support I needed to be successful and healthy!!! Thank you!!

After bariatric surgery, I felt abandoned by my surgical practice. I had questions every day and had to enter them in a portal messaging system with a 48 hour turn around. I bought the recipe fix a few months after having sleeve surgery. I recently had my six month post op appointment and my PA was "less than pleased" with my progress. I was told to "eat less and move more." I didn't get one helpful digestion from her at all. And, let's be honest, if "eat less, move more" had worked the hundreds of times I had heard it before, I wouldn't have ended up in the bariatric surgeon's office.
I had used the recipe fix several times before this happened. Cottage cheese, a staple in post op diets, loses its appeal after eating it so often. I got some good and ready recipes, but the day I got the judgement from the PA, it came in really handy. I put into it all my feelings and frustrations, and that little thing helped me realize that I only needed to tweak some things and I'd be back on track. So much more helpful than said PA.

Finding shenelle and the Rewrite group has changed my life. Sounds dramatic I know but its true. Going in to bariatric surgery is scary and there's so much you don't know. Finding this group has helped me with things that have come up such as if I'm stalled in weight loss or foods ideas for my stage in surgery. If this is normal or if this is normal etc. I've asked so many questions and I'm just 12 weeks post (and doing great) I really vibe with shenelle and how she's handling her weight loss journey and find myself following her lead, ie no fast food. I highly recommend joining the Rewrite group. You'll find friends, you'll find information and you'll find a kick in the butt when needed.

After having bariatric surgery, I felt like I needed the support from a group that understood what it felt like to have gone through the journey I went through and could help encourage me with the proper eating and healthy lifestyle I needed in order to be successful. I use the Bariatric Rewrite's "Recipe Fix" everyday, sometimes multiple times a day. Once you add the provided prompt into your chat GPT account, tell it how far you out from surgery, and any food allergies or aversions. Then keep talking to it. Tell it what you have on the fridge, freezer, pantry and have it make a meal. It will make you a daily or weekly meal plan with recipes, macros and portion sizes for you and the rest of your family. No more cooking multiple meals!?!

Shenelle and her team are fabulous. I've only used the Recipe Fix, and it's been a life-saver. Reworked current recipes, asked for new stuff--all to meet not only my goals, but also to address hubby's health concerns and restrictions, and give us some variety in our meals. Thumbs up from both of us. And it's not just for recipes. It's helped me look at transitioning to maintenance-determining calorie and macro goals, and addressing other dietary/health issues.
