Made the LLC registration process incredibly easy

It was quick, and efficient. Overall we got the document needed in a short period of time. I would recommend this option if you want the online/efficient option for setting up an LLC.

I have used their service to set up my LLC and I thought everything was going fine until I saw an unknown charge on my credit card. I didn’t receive any invoice, or receipt about this charge and whenever I tried to contact their customer service, they have not once picked up the phone. I’ve called more than 15 times, left multiple messages, left emails and nothing. Anytime I try to access my account (I have to reset my password) the website tells me “my reset link is invalid”. So I basically have no way of going into the account to see what the charge was about. I am so frustrated and annoyed at their customer service, just because of this I would never recommend this to anyone.

I submitted payment to file my single member LLC on May 26, 2023. I got a confirmation on June 2 that my LLC had been filed with my state. When I didn't hear anything for a few weeks, I sent an email to BetterLegal on June 23 to ask if there were any updates. No response. I emailed again on June 26. No response again. I connected with customer service over chat and the agent followed up on June 29. He informed me that my state required filings to be submitted by mail, and BetterLegal had mailed my filing "18 days ago". So, not on June 2 as they had claimed. As of today (July 12) it has still not been filed. I am unable to get a response from anyone at BetterLegal as to what is going on. I would advise going with a different service. I asked for a partial refund as I felt misled by their advertising and they took at least an extra week to file my LLC without any sort of update given to me. I'm giving two stars since the customer service agent followed up once.

UPDATE: I’m changing my review to 4 stars after Chad’s prompt response. I appreciate his candid message, as well as his follow through - he did in fact call and leave a voicemail going into detail about what happened. Thank you Chad for following up, and fingers crossed that my LLC goes through soon.

I have an ongoing problem with getting in touch with them. They were quite efficient and extremely fast (same-day) with the filing process. They also faxed our EIN request as far as I am aware. However, their website has many issues, it is a total mess. I had problems with login (right now it gives the error `Sorry, your login session has changed/expired... please try again`) and password reset (the password reset link had double app2.app2.betterlegal in the beginning so it did not work but worked after I removed the first app2.). I think they are still developing it and it feels mostly unfinished. Some links, and utilities I saw the first time I logged in, are not available anymore. Most importantly, they do not return your emails. I must have sent 4-5 emails to the filling. Maybe it was the wrong email to send my specific issue but they did not relay it to the correct one and `contact us` on the webpage doesn't work for me.

I think the process is working as usual but the lack of communication casts doubt on the professionalism of the team. If I can get my EIN (hopefully) and bank account set up, I will consider using another registered agent.

Update 03/30/23: The website is still inaccessible. I can't log in or reset my password.

Update 03/31/23: The website is fixed. I can log in now.

Update 04/04/23 I have received my EIN and they got back to me over email. If I could get help with the opening of the company's bank account, our deal will be concluded.
