There were very few photographs of the outside. The drop down menu for the number of guests doesn't allow for babies. It's hard to find the cottage again to share with others.

Failing website booking system
The payment I made did not go through; after the confirmation email I had another email saying there had been a problem; after I phoned up and listened to a lot of music, I was told either to re-book (which I tried and couldn't do, the system wouldn’t do that) or to amend the payment details – but the system wouldn’t do that either. We were given 24 hours to sort it, which involved several phone calls, and a lot of music. The p[problem I was told was that my name varied – only slightly – from the name on the card I used to book. The whole system was poor, and having thought we would simply book as the website said we had 36 hours of trying different things, with a lot of stress and wasted time. In the end my last phone call was to pay over the phone. It has been a wearying and frustrating process.

As a marketplace we work alongside various property managers and we would be unable to process any payments, which is why we would have advised to re-attempt the booking online.
Sometimes a booking may decline if the lead booker's name does not match the cardholders details. I understand your frustration and wholeheartedly apologise for the lengthy process.
I am glad to hear that you were able to eventually make a booking and I do hope you are able to enjoy your holiday.

Said £20 deposit and full balance due in may but when booking went through all went through Skye’s cottages who said a £600 deposit required which was not communicated when I booked. False advertising

Good company to use
Easy to use website, smooth booking service. I just find it annoying that there are so many companies with websites linking to each others. The booking was done via the cottages main booking agent, Sykes, I could have just used them directly, I just happened across this website first as it was top of Google search list. Each company takes a turn on the fee, so overall things just get more expensive

The payment details were completely…
The payment details were completely opaque. Right up to the time I entered payment details I was not made aware of how much and when payments would be due. I had to contact the owners and negotiate a staged payment.

I have checked your booking and there was no extended information on payments due to the full payment being required for your dates, so our website would have shown you the full amount throughout, instead of a breakdown of installments.
