The car salesman, James Brown, was excellent from my initial visit to the Birchwood Ford Eastbourne Showroom when I was just looking at options to purchase a Ford Puma, to the day of the exchange of cars.

Matthew Hemingway looked after me and my wife as we navigated our way through the complexities of purchasing a brand new Kia EV 3. Two test drives and a 2-hour handover on final completion. Matthew patiently went through all the gizmos and patiently explained them to us Oldies... And we got a great financial deal as well. He promised to provide any future support. Felt very comfortable through the process of buying a car that will hopefully last us the next 10 years and probably be the last car we will drive 🙂 thank you Matthew for looking after us

From start to finish the whole process was very smooth and easy. Sales Exec. Matthew Hemmingway provided great customer service and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend buying from Birchwood, and the site is in a great location.

Purchased a 2022 Jeep Renegade from Birchwood Eastbourne.
I should have gone with my gut when the car had a flat tire and the sticker price was wrong when I went for a test drive.
However, after purchasing the car, within 3 days I had numerous dashboard lights, noises and warnings.
From that point the communication was terrible from the start. Too many emails unanswered, no response from head office when I raised a formal complaint, no return phone calls, passed between companies and locations. It's taken nearly 3 months for them to organise sorting it out after being ignored, lied to and then after finding someone senior, via linkedin they finally got it fixed. On receipt of the car the 4 new as part of the agreement might as well have come from the middle isle in Lidl - absolutely disgraceful that they didn't replace like for like.
Terrible customer service, no accountability, no interest in doing the right thing. I will never deal with them again.

Birchwood Eastbourne is great, there is no pressure from staff when you walk around to view, they make themselves known, and leave you to look until you have made a decision. We wanted to upgrade our fiesta which is exactly what we did, it was easy, David was very helpful and when the car was ready for collection it was clean inside & out & ready to drive off the for court, we are very pleased with our new purchase.

The sales team were excellent. Everything was explained clearly but we never felt under pressure to purchase there and then, we just felt supported. Matthew was patient with all our questions and made sure we understood all the new controls.

I'd definitely recommend Birchwood MG Eastbourne to friends and family because Tristan went above and beyond. Can't fault his service.

Having collected our Kia Stonic today from Kia Washington, I can only but praise the service and pleasant experience we received from Matt Hemmingway. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end with Matt providing a friendly yet professional service and throughout he obliged with with good friendly customer service whereby nothing was ever too much trouble. Of all the car dealership experinces I've had over the years, this one has to be the very best out of all of them. Thoroughly recommend Kia Washington for anything Kia related.

Birchwood Ford Store Hastings were great because I have dealt with them previously. The whole buying process was seamless. From trading in my old car to picking up my new one.

My wife has had her MG3 for 3 since September 22, in this time there has been a constant un-diagnosable issue with the Auto Stop/Start, where if on, the car will stop randomly when pulling away. This has caused the car engine to switch off entering roundabouts, pulling out into junctions and from traffic light stops. This has been reported to Birchwood MG Eastbourne several times and remains a constant concern. The car is now driven with the Auto Stop/Start switched of for safety!

The drivers side head lights Angel Eye LED (Daytime running light) failed in October 2023. This was replaced under warranty. But even the new unit's daytime running light failed. This was reported to Birchwood MG Eastbourne, who were thoroughly uninterested and said it would not be covered under warranty and quoted for the unit's replacement. After a complaint to MG customer service, they reluctantly agreed to perform a chargeable diagnostic after weeks of no contact from the business.

Since owning the car, window seals and the battery have had to be replaced.

When we complained generally about the window seals, we were gaslighted by one of the staff, saying it's normal and we should get an in car de-humidifier! It is not normal for water ingress or build up of condensation in a car, which at the time was less than three years old.

We complained again to customer service, who advised us they contacted Birchwood on the 16th April 2026, and there was zero response from the garage.

These ongoing issues are ruining the experience of owning a "new" car and just should not be happening. And the service and flippant management of the customer is beyond poor.

Our issues are ongoing and we are now seeing advice from citizens advice and will likely be having to raise a complaint The Motor Ombudsmen, causing more stress.

Our experience at Birchwood MG Eastbourne was a positive one, because when approached by Tristan, he listened to why we were looking for a new car. He showed us a few options, and helped us choose the right car for us, with no hard sell. Being able to have a test drive, ensured my wife was able to get in and out of the car easily. And ensured it wasnt too big for her to drive. Tristan was also able to offer us a part exchange deal, which was a real help. As we did not want the stress of selling the car privately. Regarding customer service - completing the required paperwork could be done online, but Tristan helped us to do this at the time of collecting the car. Since purchasing the car, Tristan reassured us that we could contact him, should we have any queries. And has shown great 'after care' by promptly responding to us, which makes us feel like valued customers. We now offer a great plaudit to anyone who asks us about our Birchwood MG/KIA experience.

The staff at MG Birchwood are very friendly they are also very respecting they don't try and force you into buying a vehicle they offered test drives and give alternatives if your looking for something in particular but cannot find it there.

Visited Birchwood Kia Eastbourne today to look at the PBV and EV9.
Firstly what an absolutely awful place. Rammed with cars to the point t you simply cannot park as a customer. 20 mins later we parked up to firstly look at the PBV. None available at all! An empty showroom and one member of staff who was unable to help.
Next onto the car showroom for the EV9 and guess what, no EV9 whatsoever. Their flagship car and none at all. We were told the sales manager drives one BUT he drove his BMW in today, unbelievable.
I had the intention of a business purchase of one of these vehicles but will now go elsewhere.

A fantastic range of bikes at this dealership and good customer service. Ryan looked after me from beginning to end, kept in touch whilst the bike was being readied for my collection and answered all the questions I had.
