Report this company to the UK ICC

Please do not buy anything from this company online and if you have bad experience report it to Trading Standards as we need to come together and try to stop them trading online in the UK. For the second time, the first time being last year, Birkenstock online have withheld a refund due to me on return of my order. This is a substantial order of five pairs of shoes which I have proof of return for. I contacted them over a month ago to advise them that they had only refunded one of the five pairs and as usual the customer service adviser could not help me because it had to go to a specialist team. That team took more than a month to respond to me and have now told me that they will not refund the four pairs because they only received one pair. Meanwhile I have received my refund from my card company AMEX but this is not good enough. I have now decided to report the matter to Trading Standards. Please do likewise if you have a similar issue. Please note as Birkenstock is a company based in Germany you must contact the UK ICC. Their website is ukecc.net or call them on 01268 886 690. I have reported the matter and they told me that they do make a report to the Government about retailers. So I would urge anyone with problems like this to contact them and report the matter and maybe one day we will get Birkenstock UK Online Shop barred from trading in the UK.

I would also like to add regarding the quality, the shoes are very poor. They often come with scuff marks or glue stuck to them. I have never had a problem with EVRI, we have a great delivery lady in our area and delivery has never been a problem. Only the returns and refunds is the nightmare and the general quality of the shoes.

Don’t wear light colour socks

Shoes purchased, lovely quality leather, very comfortable, delivery was very good but……after the first day of wearing, I noticed the die from the insole which is a tan colour, had transferred onto my socks, admittedly the socks were white (to start with) they are now a nice tan colour. I emailed asking for advice, their reply was, which I felt, was very abrupt, and no advice was given. So my advice to anyone, don’t wear light colour socks.

Shoes never arrived

Shoes never arrived, Birkenstock customer service team are terrible and keep sending me forms asking for the same information (Evri lost my parcel) it’s a waste of time trying to get in contact with them.

Really bad customer service.

Twice I have been sent the wrong shoe. I wrote a complaint email and
Caroline Ray didn’t even bother to respond to my questions. It was just a standard reply.

I am questioning whether I will ever get the correct shoes. Do they even exist!?
Then I look at other reviews here and I am not surprised or alone in this shoddy service.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Will not be ordering from them again.

This company has appalling customer…

This company has appalling customer service. Twice they said my order got damaged by courier but did not offer to replace it. A refund would happen only 14 days after the courier returned the damaged product. This is a scam. Why did it happen twice? I’ve received no refund yet. Why is there no customer service helpline?

Mad as h*ll!

Absolutely terrible. I ordered some sandals I was so excited about(and cost a fortune but I have had them before and love them). I ordered them 21/07/2025 and still have nothing. Very annoyed. Evri sent an email saying they would be delivered Thurs 24/07/2025 between 1:30pm and 4:30pm and then at 1:00pm I got an email saying they couldn't be delivered(with no explanation, I was home all day). Then the next day I got an email saying they would 'try' the next day, same thing, nothing arrived. I contacted Birkenstock and they said I would have them yesterday and if not they would contact me by 10:00am...nothing. Then they said they didn't get picked up by the courier.... I really don't care; I have never had such terrible service and a load of excuses like this. I have just ordered a pair of very expensive Nike's two days ago, excellent communication and I'm getting them today. Don't touch these people with a barge pole. Better just to go to a shop that stocks them.

DO NOT order from them!!

Never received my order. It's absolutely impossible to get in touch, tried phone and email countless times. I disputed the charge with my bank but they said Birkenstock UK is fighting back trying to still take the payment. Can't believe this is happening with a company like Birkenstock here, ordered from the US website for years and never had one problem.

Absolutely useless

Absolutely useless.
I still haven't recieved my order which should have been delivered two weeks ago.
I have called twice and they just keep fobbing me off - they have asked me to call again before they will initiate the refund.
I have even asked them to deliver to deliver to the Birkenstock store in Covent Garden where I could collect them but they won't !
The shoe I want is not available in the store but I was surprised they wouldn't deliver them to it.
I have had Birkenstocks by online ordering three times, and every time useless service - they blame the courier but why don't they change it?

Good products, buy elsewhere

Order the week ago, they haven’t even shipped. They sent me tracking information four days ago, then at the end of the week sent me an email saying I never left the warehouse so I don’t know where the tracking information has come from.

DO NOT BUY EVER !

Those idiots took my money for pair of shoes and 10 days no item delivered! After 10 days they told me they can't deliver the item so I need to wait 20 days for refund! 1 month keeping my money for nothing!!!

Underlivered parcel

Ordered a pair of sandals through website on 4 July 2025 today 17 July 2025 has not been delivered. Evri confirmed that parcel is being returned but Birkenstock customer service do not want to refund. They do not even reply, could not care less basically. Awful

i went to the King's Road

i went to the King's Road, Chelsea shop to get my new Birkenstocks. Emma was friendly, helpful & professional. She made a real effort to help me find the right style, fitting & colour. A very enjoyable experience & as ever, the Arizona sandals are very comfortable.

Don’t order
Ordered the item after 5 days message saying there are delays. As this was a birthday present contacted them saying please cancel as it will not arrive in time. All request dismissed and they said no.. asked for a manger they didn’t have one .
Item arrived on Tuesday after days of waiting. Before ordering the delivery time was 4 days! I received item one sandal is poorly made. Contacted company requesting them to collect the item for refund as my email account is blocked. After making me hold on for 45 mins gave me a Evri contact number to say do it yourself. Customer services is really poor, sandal quality poor value and they have one call center that takes calls for every Birkenstock online orders. Do not help please don’t waste money thinking they are a reputable company.

I ordered a pair of sandals from…

I ordered a pair of sandals from Birkenstock on 18th June this year, with a promised delivery time of 2–4 days. What followed has been nothing short of a frustrating and unacceptable experience.

The shipment wasn’t even dispatched until 23rd June — already a significant delay. On 26th June, I received an email from Birkenstock confidently stating that my parcel would arrive that day. It did not.

On 27th June, I raised an enquiry with Evri and contacted Birkenstock customer service. On 1st July, Birkenstock assured me once again that my delivery was with the courier and would arrive “soon.” Meanwhile, the Evri app misleadingly showed the parcel as “out for delivery” every single day — yet nothing ever arrived.

I reached out to Birkenstock again on 4th July, outlining the repeated failures and lack of clear communication. On 5th July, I received an email from Evri saying they would notify me when the parcel was out for delivery (which, after all this time, is beyond absurd). Birkenstock then informed me that Evri was unable to confirm the processing of my order and that they would launch an “investigation” to determine the parcel’s whereabouts.

As of today, 9th July, I have received no further updates from either Birkenstock or Evri. Both companies have shown a complete lack of accountability and customer care.

I have since contacted my bank to initiate a chargeback in hopes of recovering my money, as it is clear that neither Birkenstock nor Evri intend to resolve this.

This experience has been incredibly disappointing, time-consuming, and unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before ordering directly from Birkenstock, given the appalling service and non-existent communication I’ve endured.

Terrible experience with this company

Terrible experience with this company. My ordered was days late, Evri said they couldn’t deliver, as it turns out that Birkenstock missed my house name off the delivery label. I chased with customer services 3 times and got nowhere, then chased with Evri. Eventually received my parcel with a Birkenstock label to open it and find a box of plastic food containers. I have no idea where my sandals are or how this has happened. Currently desperately trying to get help from both companies with no luck and £100 down with no sandals for my holiday

I'm really not sure about…

I'm really not sure about Birkenstock... A good company that's just really busy or a company that relies on it's name and provides very slow, couldn't care about it's customers service. Either way it's really disappointing to see so many bad reviews and like others I'm still waiting to receive my order nearly a week later. I think what would help appease customers would be acknowledging your reviews; when you don't it suggests you really don't care.

Reputable company turns disreputable

Birkenstock still have £125 which , after failing to deliver the shoes I ordered two weeks ago, they said they would refund. They have no interest in helping when I phone their customer services and now I feel I have lost the money…as there is no other way to have done comeback. so sad this once brilliant company have turned bad .
You only have to look at the other reviews for confirmation of this

shoes not delivered and not refunded

Joining the many people below to say, Evri lost my package, it's been over 6 weeks now and many emails and I have no shoes and no refund and Birkenstock do not answer emails. I tried the chat - and they say it's a specialist issue and I have to wait for an email. Terrible customer service.

Non-existant customer service. Don't bother.

Absolutely awful. I placed an order in good faith for what would have been my third pair of Birkenstocks in the last 15 years. But it was initially delayed, then sent out with Evri who informed me of another delay then all went dark. I had to chase Birkenstock customer services for any sort of response. Which eventually came back as Evri were 'unable to confirm the final processing of your order'. Currently awaiting my refund. Colossal waste of time. I am very disappointed and would have expected better customer service from a long standing company like this but apparently I was wrong. Other footbed sandal brands are now available and I will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

Great product- I've bought many pairs over the years. However....why would a premium brand use the UK's worst delivery company? Evri lost my shoes and they where never found. It took several call to Birkenstock customer services to determine they where lost and order a new set. they arrived three weeks after my planned holiday... please use Royal mail or DHL or any other delivery company.
