Bleu de Chauffe est une marque française qui réalise des sacs et des accessoires de maroquinerie. Ses créations s'inspirent de l'univers artisanal et industriel du 20ème siècle. Les produits Bleu de Chauffe sont fabriqués exclusivement en France dans ses ateliers situés dans l’Aveyron, au pied du viaduc de Millau. Ses sacs sont réalisés de manière traditionnelle par des artisans qualifiés. Les cuirs sont tannés de manière végétale - avec de l’acacia, du mimosa, du châtaignier – ce qui implique la sélection d'un cuir de choix.

I bought Postman bag Éclair S - Honey / Waxed Leather about 2 weeks ago. I regretted my purchase when I received the bag.
But before I explain why, I would like to give credit to Alex. When I asked for a shorter shoulder strap as I am Asian and is on the short side, he made as an special order for me without extra charge.
Because of that extra touch, I was so looking forward to receiving the bag. However, there is a very distinctive mark in the middle of the front flap. I contacted Alex and he explained that it is natural etc.
I love leather myself and totally understand the nature of it and its wear and tear. But not when it is brand new and the distinctive mark surely can be avoided to be put in the middle in the flap, as the whole bag was perfect.
I know there is nothing I can do. But I will not recommend this shop to friends and I will not be a repeat customer either.

Après avoir signalé des marques d’usures sur une sacoche business en septembre 2023 et maintes et maintes relances, la sacoche a été expédiée début janvier 2024 pour une réparation sans frais (geste commercial apprécié). Cependant depuis le début d’année, impossible d’avoir une information sur l’état de réparation et de réexpédition malgré diverses relances. Lorsque j’obtiens une réponse, les différents employés se renvoient la balle.
Le service client n’est absolument pas à la hauteur d’une marque « made in France » sur un positionnement premium. L’une des pires expériences avec un service après-vente que j’ai jamais eu. En espérant revoir ma sacoche peut-être un jour…
Purchased 2 postman leather bag from them less than a year ago and on the medium postman bag, the stitching started coming apart. Emailed after sales support twice and both times no reply from them. Stay away from the Bleu-de-Chauffe brand. Terrible workmanship for the price and even worse after service support!

Un peu déçu, du service. N’ayant pas eu d’accusé de réception pour la première commande, j’ai repassé le lendemain celle-ci. Finalement la commande arrive rapidement, je leur ai envoyé deux mails pas de réponse…le deuxième sac part et je vais être livré jeudi donc je vais être obliger de faire un retour, manque de communication, c’est dommage ! Il pourrait y avoir un numéro de téléphone… D’autant plus que je leur ai laissé mes coordonnées téléphoniques !

I will start with the bags themselves.
I purchased two versions of the Musette, one in waxed canvas, the other in waxed leather. Both black. In truth, the waxed canvas should have gone straight back. A good vegan option perhaps, but not for this money. I personally found it cheap looking, clammy and unwieldy in an easily creased way. I foolishly kept it, regretted it and subsequently ordered the waxed leather model.
This is another story. A magnificent one. The detail on both bags is first class, but the leather version is larger, heavier and the leather wonderfully thick, a class act. The contrasting strap is an elegant touch. Whereas the waxed canvas is not worth its price tag, this one is astonishingly good value.
Ten out of ten...
As regards customer service, the second bag was delayed with the free postal service and there was a tussle of sorts with an email communication in which I admit to being rather impatient and panicky regarding the whereabouts of the delayed order. As such, I can partially justify and ignore the manner of Mr. Thierry who suffered my complaints. I would however recommend that Bleu de Chauffe be more forthcoming with information on company policy, if requested, when things do go amiss.
So room for improvement as far as customer service is concerned.
Finally, there was the issue of installments through PayPal. On both occasions I ticked a box offering four installments but ended up paying in full. Why??
This definitely needs fixing.
So, mixed bag indeed but the fisherman's musette in waxed leather is a truly wonderful thing. Leather goods from this site are of an extremely high standard and the designs lovely. If you don't live in France, opt for the express option for shipping to avoid frustrating delays.
J'ai acheté il y a 6 jours un sac j'ai bien reçu la facture exetera et depuis aucune nouvelle j'ai envoyé deux mails hier et aujourd'hui j'essaie de les avoir au téléphone mais visiblement ils ont des horaires très très administratifs je ne sais pas si je serai déçu par le produit mais je suis extrêmement déçu par l'expérience client ce qui consiste à aller de la commande à la réception

So after I wrote them an email detailing the problems below, the owner(?) directly got in touch with me and they sent me a replacement which seems to be of better quality. We will see. So the service is not as bad as it seems but they do have quality control issues they need to tackle.
ORIGINAL REVIEW:
I bought a Zeppo Business Bag for 430 Euros and absolutely regret it. The quality is really poor and far from any craftsmanship. Some seams are odd and as another reviewer has already pointed out, the finishing is really rough. After two months, the seam at the zipper got loose and the zipper itself broke. Their customer service is almost nonexistent (you need to figure out how to directly contact the owner) and when you get a reply, it’s arrogant. I sent the product in at my own expenses and got it back real quick (I give them that) but still partly broke and hardly repaired. No excuse or any message, of course. All in all an immense disappointment. AVOID AT ALL COST
I ordered a bag from them and they said I would receive it in 14 days. It’s been 3 weeks and still haven’t received it. After following up with them through email, they only replied once and stopped replying when I said I didn’t receive any shipping tracking details. I asked for a refund if I don’t receive the bag and they didn’t reply. I paid almost $500 and haven’t received anything, I was basically scammed out of my money.
