I have a Blomberg oven

I have a Blomberg oven. Twice I have had to have engineers come out to fix it. Now it needs fixing again.
The thermostat DOESNT go off at the correct temperature, and I have to use an oven thermometer to get the temp I need.
It also takes a long time to heat up.
The markings on the dial do not light up so I have to use a torch as where the oven is it’s quite dull but even with lights on it isn’t clear so I use a torch.
I’ve come to really dislike this make and I’m saving up for another oven one with a well known brand,

Replacement Fridge Door

I needed a replacement door for my fridge freezer and the internal plastic hinge broke. I ordered a replacement through 4ourhouse.co.uk who are Bloomberg’s official spare parts supplier. The door arrived after waiting 3 weeks for it and on arrival we discovered that the holes for the handle were wider than the original door. I ordered a new handle and this was the same size as the handle I already have. So I sent I back both items and was advised to deal directly with the manufacturer. The folks at Blomberg assured me that there had been no design changes and that the next door they will supply will work. After waiting for approx 2/3 weeks the new door turned up. Unfortunately the same issue, the holes for the door handle are wider than the original handle. So I sent it back. I asked for the company to investigate this and again they assured me that the next door that send will fit perfectly. I had optimism that they had looked into this properly and when I mean properly, I hoped someone would have taken a handle and a door and put them together to discover the problem. Common sense really. Looking at numbers on a computer screen doesn’t solved real world issues.

As you may have guessed, the third door is exactly the same. The holes for the handle are wider on the door than the original handle.

I have tried to communicate with Blomberg that this is unacceptable and they offered was a refund and a complaints process. For which I have tried on numerous occasions only to be put through to the wrong people and then to be cut off. I refuse to accept that I need to buy a new fridge freezer as this model is less than 7 years old and by UK law they have to provide parts for it. Trading Standards are my port of call as this is now beyond any reasonable doubt that Blomberg aren’t fulfilling their obligations to provide the correct parts for their products. They make a door and handle that aren’t compatible with each other. Truly an innovative company.

Purchased a Blomberg dishwasher two…

Purchased a Blomberg dishwasher two days ago and have not even used the appliance yet.My grief is with customer service.Tried to register for my five year warranty on the phone number provided,they did
not want to know,instead told me to register online.Filled all details in correctly but would not let me submit them.Rang back to original number,who gave me another number.In short i was passed from department to department,still no one helped.Gave up,will not buy their products ever again solely based on terrible customer service.............Still not registered.When it breaks,as surely it will,i will scrap it and look elsewhere.Got to be the worst customer service i have ever encountered.

There are issues with registering the…

There are issues with registering the extended 5 year guarantee. Blomberg provide incorrect documentation with the (in this case) washing machine that advises calling an 0800 number to register the appliance. You call that number and are advised to call an 0333 number. You call that number and are redirected to the website. The website says it won't accept the serial number (in all conceivable formats, with and without the dashes). In my case it suddenly did accept it despite still throwing up an error. I then received an email informing me I have a 3 year guarantee. I only bought a Blomberg instead of Bosch because of the 5 year guarantee but it seems that the offer is simply a marketing gimmick and that the registration process is primarily an exercise in extracting data from customers for future marketing efforts. Throughout the process, the people in the call centres were helpful but this is bad customer service experience due to Blomberg's own poor processes. It has taken a lot of my time and I seem to have got nowhere.

I would not recommend a Blomberg…

I would not recommend a Blomberg washing machine. Put on an eco-wash and everything gets tangled up and spin doesn’t work. Had 1 call-out not long after buying it and engineer didn’t like these machines, said very temperamental and has issues with balance. Nearly every time I have to stop the machine on final spin (as won’t spin properly) take washing out and put on a rinse/spin cycle after untangling the items. Most frustrating. Avoid

i purchased a blomberg free standing freezer on 24/8/24. first call out on 17/3/25 error code 13
contents lost. 2/7/25 error code 13 contents lost
28/7/25 error code 13 contents saved
25/3/26 error code 13 contents lost .
25/6/26 error code 13 again spent over 1 hour on
phone to be told earliest date for engineer july 2nd
more content loss? the customer service is like a continuing loop its been one long debacle.i have been told they will text me confirmation.

Blomberg product is rubbish the service is terrible I brought a fridge freezer which is still under warranty i called today to report same issue for the second time last time the engineer come said the Blomberg product is rubbish he would never recommend the product to anyone today when I called for the same issue I being told I will get changed £75 if they say same thing as last time which is doesn't keep it cold.please do not buy Blomberg product from anywhere.i wouldn't give them one star review but unfortunately I have to

We have a 3 year old Blomberg Coolplus…

We have a 3 year old Blomberg Coolplus and has frozen and leaked as soon the warranty was up and continues to do this every three months. Has ruined our floor and our cabinets. I have had dozens of fridges and never had one this problematic.

My cooker exploded on 15th June 2026.
The cooker wasn't being used. Everything was switched off. I'd closed the glass lid the night before. I was standing next to it when, with an enormous bang, the glass shattered- with great force. Had I not been wearing glasses, I would have been blinded. The glass was everywhere..on the top of wall cupboards, on every work surface, floors, in the cooker grill and oven compartment and through into the adjoining room.
I rang Blomberg and received no help whatsoever. Apparently, as there was no injuries to anyone, it is not regarded as an emergency. I spoke at length to Customer service, the Planning team.. who planned nothing, the Resolutions Team who resolved nothing. On requesting to speak to a manager, h/she wasn't in. On asking to speak to whoever was in charge, they were in a different office. On requesting a number, that wasn't possible. I asked for Head Office number. HQ don't accept calls and there is no HQ number listed. You get the issues. On getting nowhere, except repeatedly hearing how every employee was ' sorry this had happened', the conversation ended. No resolution, no help just left with a potentially dangerous 8 month old cooker which was unusable. I heard nothing for the rest of the day. The above was repeated at 4pm. I recorded every conversation at that point. ...for quality and training purposes , you understand. It has to be heard to be believed it is so very bad. I could go on but you get the picture. Their ineptitude is breathtaking. The lack of customer care is astounding.
According to the many and various above, I refused a repair. UNTRUE. I'm happy to have a repair providing the company gives a 100% guarantee that the cooker is safe. They can't. Would you have this in your house?

Blomberg, not of merchantable quality?

I had the engineer out to my Blomberg fridge-freezer (Model KFD4953XD) to replace the ice-making unit just 3 weeks after purchase.

Now it is just a year out of the 3 year warranty and I am told it is unrepairable after changing the main board and display. Apparently the issue must be with the main harness. Also as it is out of warranty I apparently do not qualify for a replacement!

Surely an £1100 appliance should last more than 4 years. Previous refrigeration purchases always have, often lasting 20 years.

Anyone else had similar experience?

Impossible to get on the telephone.

Am trying to register an dishwasher as it has an extended guarantee. The number that Blomberg give is for Domestic and General, who cannot register extended/promotional guarantees. They tried, several times, to put me through to Blomberg, but it always went back to D&G. I looked online to get the Blomberg number, but that also goes through to D&G. I looked in the Blomberg website to try and register the extended guarantee that way, but according to their website, our model does not exist. Aaaaargh!!!

Blomberg dryer ongoing issues after…

Blomberg dryer ongoing issues after several repairs and now a new inbox replacement piece has been discovered by the repair technician on site to have a broken latch and two missing pieces. I am fed up with a bad product and months since purchase of problem not being entirely resolved. Time,taken off of work unpaid. Avoid Blomberg dryer as not a good product. No response or contact with Blomberg either.

Communication leaves a lot to be desired!

The oven seems absolutely fine, however I have scored 2 stars due to their poor communication.
When purchasing my integrated oven I was informed by shop staff and also the Blomberg website (where I went on to register my purchase) that instead of the usual 3 year warranty, there was an offer of a free extended 5 years on my product. However, when the email confirmation of my registration arrived, it only suggested that I have3 years cover which expires in 2029? I emailed them regarding this on 6th May requesting written confirmation of a 5 year warranty in line with their offer and I am still waiting to hear from them!
This doesn't instill confidence as what is going to happen if I ever need to exercise my right to use the warranty in the future? These offers are all well & good but neither use nor ornament if as customers we are ignored!

Don’t buy itthis machine says…

Would not recommend this machine says it spins when it obviously hasn’t the clothes are sopping wet . If it does ties everything in knots the bed linen is practically impossible to undo one massive heavily twisted knot and makes holes in clothes x

Do not buy a Bloomberg electric oven

I moved into my house 3 years ago and started having trouble with my oven right away. Sadly I waited too long to report my issues as the oven was purchased 2 years before I moved in.
I have had 3 control boards and each one offered a new series of problems. I have contacted the company ( as has the repair man) and we have not heard one word from them except that they would review my problem.
This is probably the worst oven I have ever had and at 75 years I have done a lot of cooking and baking. The newest big problem is it BURNS everything. I would not dare leaving the kitchen if I was using this oven
It will be replaced, obviously NOT with a Bloomberg and in fact although I have 3 other Bloomberg appliances that have not been problematic (which I told the company) I will never purchase any Bloomberg appliance.
I urge people NOT to buy a Bloomberg oven.

Disappointing

Bought an AEG machine second hand which washed perfectly for 8 years.Companies need to address these issues and give machines a longevity which they're just not doing.

Blomberg LDV63440 dishwasher.

Really disappointed with this machine, considering that it was by no means cheap. At the time, I didn’t even mind that: buy cheap, buy twice and all that, and after all, Blomberg - for whatever reasons - are generally quite well respected. However, in this case, that adage didn’t pan out.

On the face of it, it’s got all the knobs and knockers, including programmes you’ll probably never use. It has a cutlery tray at the top, which seemed like a good idea until I realised how much difference this made to the amount of room in the drawer immediately underneath; with the cutlery tray in place and the drawer at maximum height, you can’t even stand a pint glass up in it. Ah, you may say, then why not lower the conveniently adjustable top drawer? - The answer is: because if you do lower it enough to be able to stand a pint glass upright with the cutlery tray still in place, there’s not enough room for dinner plates in the bottom drawer without the rotating arm beneath the bottom tray catching on them!

Although, when I realised just how iffy the ergonomics of this machine were, I have to say I wasn’t best pleased, once again, on the face of it the solution seemed obvious: remove the cutlery tray.

You’ll notice I say ‘seemed obvious’. In actual fact, it’s really quite easy when you know how, but I didn’t, and ( call me stupid ) the manual didn’t seem to explain it at all. Even then, surely, a simple phone call to Blomberg Customer Services would solve the problem? Well, you’d think ...

The first thing that became apparent was that the person on the other end of the phone - the third one I eventually got through to after being passed around departments - was apparently reading from the same manual ( or a version of it ) as I was. Not surprisingly, the net result was that I spent half an hour ( not including the time I was on hold between departments ) getting no further forward than I’d been in the first place. Eventually, with the help of a friend ( who was no more technically versed in these things than I was, not that we should have needed to be ), the tray got removed. Problem solved ...?

In terms of the amount of room, well, solved somewhat ... obviously the cutlery still has to be cleaned, so I resorted to using a stand-up rack positioned in the bottom drawer. Already really unimpressed by this point, but the bottom line is this: if you want a dearer-than-average dishwasher that will get most but not all of the contents clean some but not all of the time, then this is definitely the kiddie for you.

The icing on a cake which really doesn’t need additional decoration is the fact that when I contacted Blomberg to make them aware of all of the above, they very kindly said that they would send an engineer out under the terms of the warranty. Except ... if the engineer determines that there is no fault in the manufacture of the machine, you’re then liable to pay a callout charge, warranty or no warranty. If anyone wants to have a fiver bet with me as to whether or not that’s what the engineer would determine, by all means let me know.
