Plan your visit for stress free parking!
Ordered through Click & Collect which was very convenient. Communication was great, price and products very good. Only issue was parking access at the New Southgate branch - both inside and outside. Arriving early in the morning near opening time made for the most productive and least stressful visit!

I bought two Geberit toilets bundled…
I bought two Geberit toilets bundled and one of them arrived broken. I contacted the online help at the Builder Depot and Talia advised me to take photo of the broken pan. Later Rye took over and helped me by resolving the issue in no time. The replacement toilet arrived with in two days. These two guys were amazing people who made things easy and smooth.

Price and ease of ordering
Price and ease of ordering. Only slight downside was the App email delivery link seemed a little strange showing dispatch and delivery day which was never exact. The delivery turned up randomly on unexpected day . It was easy to contact delivery company by phone. To be fair this was an external company to B Depot. Overall everything OK delivery driver very heloful

I had a very disappointing experience…
I had a very disappointing experience during my first visit.
As I was not aware of the opening hours, I arrived approximately 10 minutes after closing time. The car park was already closed, so I politely got out of my car and asked the person standing by the entrance if they could help me.
Unfortunately, the response I received was completely unacceptable. The person was laughing loudly, smoking, and speaking to me in an extremely disrespectful and dismissive manner. They repeatedly said, “Don’t you understand that you shouldn’t be here now?”
I completely understand that I had arrived after closing time, and I would have had no issue being told politely that the premises were closed. However, there was absolutely no need for such an aggressive and disrespectful attitude.
For someone standing at the entrance of a company and representing that company to customers, this behaviour was extremely disappointing and unprofessional.
I am genuinely sorry to say that, following this experience, I have no intention of returning there or using their services again.
I strongly suggest that the company pays closer attention to how custome-facing staff are selected and trained, as their behaviour can have a significant impact on the company’s reputation.

While we appreciate that you arrived after our closing time and our team would no longer have been able to assist with collections, we would still expect every customer to be treated politely and respectfully, regardless of the circumstances.
Having reviewed your order, we can see that your Click & Collect order was subsequently collected on 15th October. However, we recognise that this does not take away from the experience you have described during your initial visit.
We take concerns regarding staff conduct seriously, and your comments will be raised with the relevant branch management team for review.

Unfortunately there is no option to leave 0 stars so I’ve had to leave 1 star.
Missing parts on initial order. Then told twice that the missing part would arrive next day only to find out it was never sent out. Then when I raised a complaint I was told there is nothing they can do.

Having reviewed your complaint, we fully acknowledge that you were incorrectly advised on two occasions that a replacement would arrive the following day, when it had not been dispatched. This was unacceptable, and we apologise for the inconvenience and poor communication.
We can confirm that the missing CT clamp was subsequently delivered on 3rd October. Your complaint was also escalated to our management, who reviewed the circumstances and responded to your concerns directly.
Whilst we were unable to agree to your request for compensation towards additional electrician costs, we recognise that mistakes were made in handling your order. These issues have been acknowledged and will be addressed internally to help prevent similar situations occurring.
We sincerely apologise that your experience fell short of the standard of service we aim to provide.

My experience with Builder Depot was an absolute nightmare from beginning to end.
First, my original delivery was not delivered at all. It then took me two days to actually find out what was going on. The whole situation was unclear, and I had to spend my own time chasing the issue and effectively doing the customer service work myself just to get answers. Customers should not have to spend days fighting to receive what they have already paid for.
Then came the second delivery, which was even more shocking. I had ordered insulation, which obviously needs to be kept dry. The delivery arrived during pouring rain, yet the truck had absolutely nothing covering the materials. The insulation, along with timber and other materials being delivered that day, was completely wet.
I was genuinely shocked. I then had to spend half a day trying to dry out the insulation because wet insulation can cause serious problems with damp and mould in my loft. This is completely unacceptable, particularly when I had paid £30 for delivery. That is not a cheap delivery charge, especially considering the distance from Park Royal to me.
The entire process, from the first missed delivery to the second delivery arriving with materials exposed to heavy rain, was extremely disappointing and stressful.
I am only giving one star because, after repeatedly pursuing the matter, I eventually received a refund for the first delivery. But customers should not have to fight for days to get basic service and a resolution.
Builder Depot is below the standard I would expect, and the quality of the delivery operation and customer service is seriously questionable. I am extremely unhappy with this experience and would not recommend it based on what I have experienced.
