Carfest Opiniões 

So, we arrived at Carefest at 10:25 wanting to see Rob Brydon at 11:45. We wondered, had a look at what was there before heading to the main arena. We could not cross the track  to get to the main events because, there was some motor event taking place and the track was closed. We asked a person with information on their shirt. They said they had no idea why the track was closed as it was not due to be. We were advised we would have to walk all the way around the track to get to the main events. We walked back toward a bridge to achieve this and saw a group of people standing at another information booth, next to the Silverstone Merchandise building.They were asking the same question as us. The team had no answers. They kept saying that the track should be open at this time and they were doing their best to find out when it would reopen. We waited and waited. Eventually a young lady with some a walkie talkie told  us to rush back to the crossing point as it was about to open. We did so, there were hundreds waiting to cross. We did not get to the Rob Brydon stage event until 20 mins after he had started. Not a great start
We wondered around getting our bearings. We took a picture of a huge message board close to the crossing point which listed the closure times for this crossing. Funny enough, according to  this, the crossing point should have been open when we arrived.
After a  good walk around the site, some food and refreshments, we decided to leave the main event area and come back later for the music in the evening. We saw two large gate type posters stating "Day Visitors Exit, this way". We walked in the general direction and could see no exit signs. However, there was another information station. We asked about the exit. They said there was no exit in this area. I pointed out the large gate type notices.They said "They're wrong, they should not be there, we have been trying to get them removed all day". I said, "why not just go an pull then down". The response, "No, we have  no authority to do that". So, the crowds kept on gathering at this station asking the same question, "Where is the exit".  You could not make it up, hundreds of people arriving at an information station with the same requirement to find an exit that did not exist. 
So, we asked, "where can we exit?". We were told at the dreaded crossing point. We speedely make our way across to this point, some considerable distance away, but armed with my photo of the giant board stating that the crossing point would be open until 15:00 we got there at !4:35. This crossing point was closed. I approached the chap on the gate and stated that the crossing point was due to be open until 15:00 and then closed for a period of half an hour. He said, "Nobody seems to be taking any notice of the times displayed, they are opening and closing the crossing as they see fit". I asked, "When will  it be open?" - "I have no idea" was the response. So time ticked on, we passed 15:00 and waited patiently. Then one of the cars spun off the track. This was about 15:10 (or there abouts). They called all the other cars in and sent our a retrieval team. The track was basically closed. They removed the vehicle and then the track remain closed for a further ten minutes. They eventually opened the track at 15:35. Hundreds of people started to leave the main event site inside the track, only to be met with a thousand or more coming the other way. No separation, just a clash and do your best be get through. I helped a lady with a walking stick by walking in front of her to try an make a path. It was awful.
I went to the information station to voice my concerns, the chap was visibly stressed out, he said , "I'm sorry I cannot help you with anything other than directions using this map, we have no further details about what is happening at the event and how the crossing times are being change without notification" His last words to me, "I won't be coming back tomorrow".
Considering there were loads of PA systems next to the crossing point on the inside, nobody thought to use these to update persons waiting at advertised open times, to explain there had been changes.
My wife and I were frustrated and felt unsafe. Yes, UNSAFE - The support staff did not now what was going on. The direction sings to exits were WRONG - The times displayed at the crossing point were A TOTAL FABRICATION OF THE TRUTH.

Despite all the money we spent for three day tickets, we did not return. To me, it was a disaster waiting to happen. Never again

Won't be going back to Carfest if its at Silverstone next year.

The access is awful - 2.5km from the visitor carpark, through kids fest, to the main stage and then when we got to the crossing we had to wait 30 minutes to get to the main event area because there was no bridge! Do this whilst carrying all your heavy chairs, snacks etc. Signage was absolutely terrible both in the car park and in the festival. Eventually found a quicker way back through the hilton hotel but even then, security was questioning whether or not I was allowed through the gate nearest to the hotel and told me I might have to walk the 2.5km route. Absolutely crazy.

Felt like the car action had reduced, or it was just too spread out, spa fest, food fest, all seemed smaller and all were just were not as good as last year... really disappointed.

Price of food and drink is astronmical... £22 for a bowl of chips with a bit of meat on top. Everything appears to be a chip base with something on top. £15 for an Aperol Spritz. No thanks.

3 day pass and we did 1.5 days (1/2 day Friday and 1 day Saturday). Access is a nightmare and its all just the same stuff.

Not enough areas with cover, was a complete wash out.

Overall, poor access, poor signage, less activities, same high ticket price, outrageously priced food, less activities, moody security... its meant to be a family friendly, accessible for all festival...

It’s Saturday evening and Chris Evan’s walks onto stage and reminds us that Carfest exists to support some amazing children’s charities. We meet representatives from some of the charities and also some of the brave kids that have been through so much. My family are genuinely moved to tears. For a moment it almost makes the bad experiences of the day worthwhile, but not quite.
I love Silverstone, it’s a great place, but this new version of Carfest is a logistical nightmare and a disappointing case of overpromising and under delivering.
In no particular order..…
The walk from the car park is confusing and long. Time it badly and you can also be stuck in a pushy crowd while the track is closed and you can’t cross it.
The zones are thinly filled with attractions. Anything that’s actually worth doing, costs more.
The track events throughout the day
Include drift cars and super cars to various open and closed-wheel racers. There is however limited grandstand seating available and not enough viewing space down the main straight or pit area. This is the opportunity for many to see Silverstone for the first time, please open up more grandstands and the balconies above the pits! The venue is so large that it makes it hard to have a worthwhile visit to a zone or a celebrity talk before you need to rush back for a decent view of the track.
We are fairly fit people and we completed over 30,000 steps in a day going from zone to zone trying to get the most out of our visit. This would be impossible for anyone with mobility issues.
BIGGEST PROBLEM:- There are simply not enough accessible cars (at Carfest)! Any established car meet or a towns annual car show would have many more cars to view and allow you to get up close. The pit area had a good exotic car display but you can’t get close unless you pay more.
Silverstone museum is excellent but a very long walk from the centre of Carfest (best to go there on the way in as it’s closer to the car park)
For the car owners clubs, their ‘pride and joy’ cars are also sat atop a muddy hill and are very exposed to the wind and rain. Our friend was a participant, displaying his very rare and valuable car in the owners club area. He agreed that the turnout of real owners and real cars was very poor and he won’t return.
We wanted to visit the car auction, but were turned away because we hadn’t paid to enter or didn’t have the correct credentials.
We walked to the foodie area and were given a limited choice of burgers, pizza, loaded fries etc but all at unnecessarily high prices. This is not the diverse street-food experience you find at other events and was very disappointing.
We ended the day at the music festival and loved every minute (Special shout out to the Rick Parfitt Jnr band- amazing!).
But, the crowd had learned its lessons throughout the day or were just exhausted and were leaving in droves as the headliner (the legendary Sir Tom Jones) was beginning his set. Clearly they were all aware of the long walk and pushing crowds and had decided that an early exit was best. I’ve never left a festival or concert early, but even we were forced to hear Sir Toms encores as we entered the car park (that by then was almost empty).
To sum up, it’s for a great cause and raises lots of money, but it just not big enough for the new venue. If the Carfest organizers are sticking with Silverstone, please get more car clubs to display. The ticket cost is high for many visitors, so they need to regulate the quality and price of the food and thank all their guests by allowing inclusive access to all areas. Everyone that visits should be treated like a VIP, not just the supercar owners. That will keep them coming back every year.

Just got back from the day event and so disappointed. The venue is not right for this event. Really enjoyed it when it was in Overton. Getting to the day car park was ok. However, once at the venue it was really difficult to orientate as even though there were some maps around, they didn’t show where you actually were!! It was a very frustrating experience trying to navigate around. Gave myself 20 minutes to get to Food fest from the entrance but the access was closed as the cars were going around the track and there were no bridges to get over it like in the previous venue. So once I finally got across the track and to the centre, I didn’t dare to leave just in case I got stuck again. When watching the chefs cook, I mostly saw the outside of their pans or the mixer. Couldn’t actually see what was in the pans. My husband wanted to see the cars and was very disappointed as there weren’t many cars and only few events on the track. At one point when we wanted to meet up, it took him 40 minutes to get to me due to the size of the venue (too spread out) and difficulty to navigate through it. We left early as were fed up with the whole set up. Waste of money. If it’s held at Silverstone again next year, we won’t be coming back. Such a shame.

We are regular attenders of Carfest but this year we have been forced to leave on the Saturday morning due to accessibility issues. I have osteoarthritis in both knees but have previously managed to walk to the site and enjoy the various stages. But with over a 1 hour walk across rubble and hard core gravel each way from our campsite to the arena, miscommunication from staff about more accessible options we had no choice but to leave this morning. We are so disappointed. Bigger is not always better. Hoping for a return to Lavistoke Park in the future

Cars were a highlight, there wasn't enough there as a festival to justify 100 quid a ticket for a day visitor. Organisation needs to be better, it really needed an app to use and signage was bad. Of course you can't do anything about the weather but more tents and seating would have been helpful as it was limited.

Signage to the event and the relevant car park poor. Signage on site poor; “you are here” stickers on the site maps would have helped enormously. Although it’s called Carfest, it’s really just an overpriced family entertainment thing. Don’t waste your money.

Badly organised and accessed the only think we liked was the museum so much walking involved no map of where and when things where on.

Paid for VIP tickets, told at gate they had runout of wristbands! all the extra cost with zero benefit total ripoff
Never again

Camping set up at Silverstone is AWFUL. A long way to drag all the stuff from the carpark, but the worst bit is that it is a good 45 minute walk each way from the campsite to the entrance. Would not recommend to anyone with younger children, older adults, mobility issues that don't qualify for accessible options.

Yeah, really not enjoying this so far. We turned up on the Friday about 9am looking forwards to it. Unfortunately almost all decent pitch areas were taken with family tents who came on the Thursday. Some of these tents have huge footprints, again that didn’t really bother me although we brought a smaller tent than our usual expensive large one ourselves. We struggled to find a pitch and one of the staff was really helpful and told us that as long as we don’t pitch on the path with the white lines we could pitch on other ‘mowed’ perceived path areas. So we found a spot and started pitching up being mindful to ensure people could still have plenty of space to walk through…. We then had two people have a go at us “you can’t go there!” Well yes we could, and being told we couldn’t by entitled Thursday large tent people really wound me up.
This isn’t the end of it though unfortunately…. My wife struggles physically and we then realised that the walk from the tent to the actual festival was huge…not a 20 min walk and it was too much for her especially then walking around the festival like an ikea store (it’s a winding path through the whole thing to finally get to the main music stage and then having to walk back. You can’t just pop back to your tent for something.
Anyway that’s not the worst bit. The worst bit was when I got back other people had started pitching their tents on the perceived path but not allowed any room for people to get through…. I needed to go to the toilet block but literally struggled to find a way out onto the dedicated path. I proceeded to walk through a gap amongst these huge footprint tents and this bloke started having a go at me saying I was walking through his area. Not only was his tent huge but he had connected it to another tent and completely cut off a huge area of access for us to be able to go to the toilets. We had a nice arguement which is always nice… friendly family festival? Not in my opinion. Full of entitled Thursday arrivers claiming their stake on as much land as they can and not care about anyone else.
And is as conscientious people bringing a smaller tent have had nothing but grief. Handy tip for next year car fest : start charging for the size of tents (and the even bigger event shelters!!!), inform people they must leave a gap between tents that people can get through so to allow others to access facilities they’ve paid £250 a ticket for!
Sadly I’m already wanting to go home, a sad upsetting experience especially for my wife.

Currently here at Silverstone and I have to say the organisation of the accessibility part of the site is terrible. we spent 1 hour trying to get to the access campsite because the stewards didn't know where to send us. Upon arriving there is only 5 portaloos and 3 disabled access for the entire of access camp! Disgusting.
When the arena opened we got stopped by security because my 5 year old didn't have a wristband but we were previously told he didn't need one. We stood 15 minutes while they radioed around only to be told oh he doesn't need one.
First day in the arena area and we couldn't find the access buggies to get back to camp. Asked a few of the stewards and again no one knew where to send us. I appreciate this is the first time at Silverstone for carfest but surely they have done access before.
Communication and organisation would go along way

Carfest starts in 2 days and no schedule of events, gigs etc... yet. Just not good enough when we've spent over £500 on tickets to attend. I want to plan our days in advance and despite emailing and messaging via FB, no response whatsoever.

I needed to resell at face value after a change in circumstances meant I could no longer attend. IN FEBRUARY. Nope - bad luck, they said. No transfer allowed. Really poor. Ridiculous.

Very very expensive for what was included in the ticket price and for a show called carfest there was not many cars at all I've been to better free car displays tbh
This was Our first family festival my kids were too old for kidfest it did not look like there was much there anyway shoved far away from everything else
Spafest was full of old folk doing yoga and talking about well being and feelings ???
And food fest was just full of more food stalls and talks from z list TV chef,s again im not really interested I wanted to see cars at carfest
Which only really left the track display the fairground and the main stage for any entertainment

No time table was displayed anywhere for what was happening throughout the day a flyer when you got given your wristband would of been nice or it just displayed on a big board somewhere so people knew what was happening
having to try and dig through the poorly designed carfest website for information that was not there with very little phone signal wasn't fun

The last Track display on sunday finshed at 4pm ish leaving a few hours before any half decent band worth watching came on stage and nothing else to do as everything apart from the food and drink stalls had closed or finished for the day

A good 90% of the avaliable stalls were selling takeaway/Street food or drinks there were a few stalls selling sunglasses and other tat but the choice of shops was terrible there was nothing to look at to kill any time for the wife
Drinks food and the fairground were far too expensive £3.50 for a bottle of sprite and £13 for a pork roll

you are followed around the whole site by the smell of the disgusting toilets stinking the place out watching madness on stage while breathing in pissy toilet waft kind of spoiled the atmosphere

there were some nice clean toilets with no que if you pay an extra £30 a day what a rip off (how about just cleaning or providing enough of the normal ones )
Then at the end you have the joy of walking miles in the dark to try and find your car again none of the car parks were signposted and the way back out was different to the way in
As they had closed off areas of the park

So its £100 for a basic adult day entry ticket plus another £7 to park in a field this is before you even get in or buy any food or drinks
I wouldent bother next year I'm guessing it will be even more expensive at Silverstone and it was allready far too expensive for standing in a field and looking at a handfull of cars
You can go on a decent family break for the same money

Having read these reviews I can honestly say my experience of carfest has been nothing like them. I went in 2023 and 2024, heading back for 2025, can't wait. There was plenty of space on our camp site and the parking area was not too far away. We bring a trolly to wheel our camping gear so that makes it pretty easy. There is so much do both free and paid for and a guide to everything is available to buy. We don't mind paying since it's for charity. I found the toilets to be reasonable, with them being cleaned very regularly. I took my own toilet paper, just in case, but didn't need it. The music was great although not all to my taste but happy to have a dance to most things. We took some nibbles but didn't think the food was that expensive, specially considering you are at a festival with vendors whose livlihood this is! I am vegan and found plenty of choices and not just junk food. We meet friends there, honestly have a great time and couldn't possibly get round everything over the three days.

we have provided a service to carfest and haven't been paid for it 1st there was a delay then there was no payment

We bought premium tickets at £500 each, it stated on the website a complimentary glass of fizz or a pint of premium beer, in the premium lounge, but we had to fight to get the beer! To be honest it wasn’t worth paying double the price of normal tickets disappointing as not really any perks. The line up wasn’t brilliant apart from UB40 they were off the scale.

First ever festival and camping ..
With someone whom has a hidden disability heart conditions/mobility issues there is a few things to say
Firstly ..blue camp site
Had to park car in the carpark and walk to take my tent and gear to the tent ..The car was parked behind a fence and no cars where allowed on the camping tent site to unload etc..
So walking back and from my car was exhausting. I did explain I had a disability but they didn't really care !!! And watched you struggle carrying your items etc
And was told to throw your camping items over the fence onto wet grass

Over priced food outlets nothing healthy and hardly any vegan outlets

And the blue camp site needs addressing as durning the weekend cars where allowed on campsite for tents then when you asked to get your car this wasn't allowed ..

Came last year and it had a certain magic about it - our first family festival. This year just didn’t feel as good. They’ve made the 2nd stage bigger so the 2 main stages are now the same size which is a bonus. The running order really needs looking at. Putting Judge Jules at full volume Ibiza tilt for an hour before a family puller of Olly Murs put our young ones off so we left - as did many others. Same on Sunday - Johnny Hates Jazz and Kula Shaker - mainly unknown song after song. Surely an act that really appeals to the garage / dance / mature festival goers should be after family watershed time. Food options across the whole site seems collaborative price fixed around £15 for a main meal. Mainly all unhealthy fast food based and fried - burgers / Hot Dogs / fried chicken / Gyros / Asian options etc. Watching the cars do nut / wheel-spin was fun but the same show on 3 times each day brought no variety. Rest of the festivals within a festival are mainly just stalls. You’ll be sold anything and everything - from BBQ’s, garden furniture to roof top sleeping boxes. Kids fest and adventure fest - mainly stalls and activities all cost extra - mini Range Rovers £10 for 2 laps of a small track for example. Other bands and artists on stage - highlights were Rick Parfit Jnr, The Feeling, Beverley Knight. Other singers and bands were mixed - some quite lacklustre and seemed to simply get a spot on the MainStage as they were friends of Chris Evans without much thought into whether they were actually any good. Will give it a miss for the foreseeable which is a shame as we love Chris, what he stands for and the sheer effort that goes into it.
