Great company to deal with , on time , pleasant and reasonably priced

I contacted Ioan Jones who was recommended by an estate agent. I required an EPC for my commercial property and Ioan answered the call and within minutes he had logged onto the web site and informed me that my existing EPC was still valid. Instant service, quick, professional and friendly. Would highly recommend Castle EPC.

An EPC survey from Castle EPC exceeded all of my expectations. From start to finish, I was blown away by the level of professionalism and customer service that I received.

Considering their business is doing EPCs, they don't actually appear to know the legal requirements concerning EPCs. As a tenant I was told that it is a legal requirement to have an EPC after 10 years, but this is false. A quick Google reveals: "Once your EPC has been issued, it is then valid for ten years. Once it runs out, you do not need to get a new one unless you are entering a new tenancy with new tenants or selling the property." They didn't apologise for this misinformation.

Edit: no option to reply to the reply below, so adding it here. There was no misunderstanding. The text said "If you're in a rental property it needs to have a current EPC certificate in place as governed by UK law." This is only true for the reasons stated above which are not the case here. Therefore it is misinformation and they should have queried the reason with the estate agents and told them it wasn't necessary, but that would then impact on their business, so why would they?
