I booked a cruise on cheap cruises then after looking over other sites including the cruise ship site I discovered the cruise ship site was exactly the same amount that cheap cruises was charging also they had a total money back guarantee for any down payments And to top it off they gave me a free room upgrade. Called cheap cruises within hrs of my booking to cancel was told there's a $100 cancelation fee on top of a 24.99 service charge fee so I offered them to meet cruise line with free room upgrade which they said they could not do so just be fair warned read their fine print before you ever book a cruise through them the cruise lines are a lot safer better choice.
BAD EXPERIENCE
I booked our Alaskan cruise 8 months in advance, did all the planning, bought $100 binoculars to see whales, bought travel insurance for everything and was advised by cheap cruises to book our own airline tickets because tickets could vary in travel times up to over 24 hours duration. I booked the tickets with Alaska Airlines departing Minneapolis MN to Seattle. We arrived early for our flight in Minneapolis. Alaskan Air canceled our flight due to their failure to maintain their aircraft. We therefore missed the sailing of the ship. This was all no fault of our own and find out the travel insurance we thought would cover us was not going to cover this. We are out over $3,000 and no one is offering us anything, credit wise or nothing.
Easy to book and friendly service
Nikki was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Shared her own experiences to help us make an informed choice. Gave us a price we were happy with and we’d certainly book through Cheap Cruises again.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. DO NOT TRUST CHEAPCRUISES.COM. We booked a 7 day cruise on Nov 2024. The online promotion promised a $50.00 rebate gift card to be received via email 8 weeks upon completion of the cruise. It's been three months and we are still waiting to receive the $50.00 gift card. We've been given multiple run-arounds re: this $50.00 gift card. We reached out on Jan 29, 2025, and spoke with Samantha, who told us it was being processed. Ok. We reached out again on March 3, 2025, and spoke with Drew, who had a very nasty attitude. We told her that we would be filing a complaint with the BBB, and posting online reviews alerting potential customers to their FALSE ADVERTISEMENT PRACTICES. She got real mad and threatened us saying that she and Cheapcruises.com has our names and addresses.(meaning???), and immediately hung up on us. We immediately called back, spoke with Jeffrey, explained to him what had just happened, and asked to speak to a supervisor to report this unwarranted and unacceptable behavior. We spoke with Jessie (sup.) and explained to him what had happened. Jessie indicated that he would be reaching out to Drew's sup, and will be reviewing the recording of the phone call with Drew to determine any disciplinary actions that may be warranted. He also promised us a $100.00 credit towards a future booking to be received within 3 days , by March 10, 2025 the latest. We are still waiting for the $50.00 rebate gift card and the promised $100.00 credit. We reached out again on March 31, 2025 and spoke with Amanda, who said she will be reaching our to the team responsible for processing this... AT THIS POINT WE ARE NOT INCLINED TO BELIEVE ANYTHING THIS COMPANY STANDS FOR OR ANYTHING HIS EMPLOYEES SAY. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PEOPLE. THEY ARE A SCAM. FALSE ADVERTISEMENT IS THEIR DAILY BREAD!

Booked 3 rooms on a celebrity cruise same price same room... not the case when confirmation was sent.. they tried to get more money from me to fix it when was the mid of cheapcruises
The reservation had an error which I took a screenshot of.
Also the credit we were all to receive was 50$ yet we received 25$ even though I have a screenshot of the original reservation
The supervisor I spoke to was rude and obnoxious and hung up on me!!!
Never ever use this company... they advertise as cheap but it's the same price as direct through the cruise line!!!!
My first and last time ever fir booth me and the other 2 couples 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮and when you ask for the name of the person talking to you they avoid the subject and ignore you.. I asked 4 times in a single conversation and they answer with mm!!!
Not one ounce of decency once they got your money!!

I booked a cruise with cheapcruises and they gave me a good price but they charged me $250 more in taxes and fees than the cruise company I'm going to travel with charges. In the end I ended up paying much more with cheapcruises. I don't recommend it. Buy it directly with the cruise company you want to travel with.

DON'T BOOK THROUGH CHEAPCRUISES!
I booked with Cheap Cruises and let them know it was my first time ever going on a cruise. I will NEVER book with CheapCruises again. I am still waiting on my $204 they said they would give me credit the day I boarded the ship. I didn't get it. Then they told me that I would recieve it in a refund, still haven't got it.
When I first booked, I specifically told them I wanted a balcony, the representative, Alberto, instead booked me for a Ocean view room. I would not have known that if I hadn't called MSC to verify my room. I had to call Cheap Cruises back to fix it.
Then, I was told my non-alcohol drinks would be included such as water, coffee, tea, and I could get that anytime at no additional cost. Then I spoke to a representative from MSC and they said, no. I would need to buy a non-alcohol package if I was just going to have non-alcohol at anytime. So, I had to buy the non-alcohol package.
Then I purchased a internet package with browsing only. I didn't know I wouldn't be able to stream with our daughters. So, I canceled my browser only package and purchased the browsing with streaming package. I asked for my refund on my browsing only package since I canceled it and purchased the browsing with streaming package. They informed me that I won't get my refund for the browse only since it's third party purchase. They are the ones who told me I could purchase this FROM THEM. I had no clue that it was third party through them. So, I am out a little over $100 on that BUT THATS NOT ALL!
Then I purchased a daybed with shade package. It looked like it was going rain, so, I canceled that as well and asked for my refund for the $99. They said I wouldn't be getting that either. So, I am out another $99. All of this was done about a week before the day of departure.
WATCH OUT FOR THEM! ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A FIRST TIME CRUISER!
I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THEM.
So, basically, my wife and I have lost about $400 dealing with CheapCruises!
I am SO ANGRY, I wish I could sue them for taking advantage of us!!
We know now! We're out about $400. Expensive lesson!
The customer service is TERRIBLE!
Update:
I spoke with Tiffney from Cheapcruises and she said they have released the $204 for the refund. It's just a matter of when it will be applied. Also, Tiffaney called MSC on my behalf and the refund for the $99 and the $111 are in pending state for refund but should be refunded anytime from what I understand.
I appreciate Tiffaney looking into this for us. It would be sad if we lost on on almost $400. Once we receive the refunds, if memory works for me, I will update this.
Note: Doth not rent the daybed with shade for Ocean Cay unless you don't want to be on the beach and you don't mind being next to the Lighthouse where the bar and smokers are at. You don't have a beach scenery from the Daybed with Shade excursion.
Update: 10/11/2024... The almost $400 has been refunded back to us of the which we are thankful.
