Would give a zero if possible. They use a contract service for delivery- after waiting over 1.5 hours for food the driver just cancelled our order. Customer service was absolutely no help.

I never received my order
I never received my order. The map took my driver to the wrong street. I specifically described my location to the best of my ability in the notes. I tried to call him, but he didn't speak English. I chatted with him, but he said he didn't know English. I even used Google translate to respond to him but he never responded. Instead, he left my order at the wrong address and marked it as delivered. When I contacted Support, they claimed that the address I provided was incomplete. Yet they couldn't explain why it took him to a different street. When I asked for a refund, all they were willing to offer was less than what I paid as a credit to my account. Unfortunately, I will never be using that account again because they refuse to admit fault and correct the problem. My next order with them might take it to the wrong address again as well.

If i could give 0 stars I would.... i ordered a double order of wings from Calhouns in Knoxville which should be 16-20 wings or 2lbs... i received my delivery and only had a single order which is 8 wings... the difference in price is $12... Chownow said all the could refund it $6... WTH? I didn't get what I ordered and PAID for.. i should get a refund for the difference.. not $6!

I strongly advise against doing business with ChowNow.
Based on my experience, this has been one of the most frustrating and disappointing companies I have ever worked with. The sales process was misleading from the beginning. Promises were made to secure my business, but once my credit card was charged, support became virtually nonexistent.
Reaching a real person for help is extremely difficult, and when you do, issues are rarely resolved in a timely or effective manner. Accountability is lacking, and follow-through on commitments is poor.
There are significantly better, more affordable, and more transparent alternatives available in the market. I regret choosing ChowNow and would not recommend them to other business owners.
The worst company I’ve worked with
The worst company I’ve worked with. They charge my customers tons of fee like “support local business fee”, double the price on their own (they charge our customer $14 for a $7 item on my menu), and illegally skipped the payments to our account. It took a whole year fighting back and forth with them to cancel their service. Once we canceled the service they automatically charged me $500 for a printer that they never sent from the very beginning. When I called their customer services the representative literally told me that I had to prove them the I didn’t receive the printer or else they will proceed with the fee (what kind of nonsense is it). When I asked them to prove me that they sent me the printer they told me it’s not their responsibility to prove, yet they will charge me for the fee

Order was accepted and delivery time provided. Unfortunately, when I contacted customer service after over an hour to inquire to my order, I was told their delivery window was within their acceptable range, but it still has not been picked up.
When food finally arrived an hour and a half later, every single dish was ruined and an edible.
Customer service repeatedly quoted the same line regarding acceptable time acceptable service.
There is nothing acceptable about any of this. Will never use them again.
Food not delivered
Order was never received but app showed it was delivered. There was no communication with any delivery updates. Having a hard time getting a refund and it was an expensive meal. DO NOT USE!

If I could rate zero, I would. Food never arrived after waiting for over an hour. Multiple attempts to call someone for assistance, finally reached them and was told they would issue a refund but it would take 3 business days to receive. No apologies, no dinner, nothing. Terrible service- DO NOT USE THEM!
ChowNow SUCKS
ChowNow picked up my food order, drove to my house and dropped off 10 tulips at my house and kept my food!!! ChowNow customer service is not available. Never heard a word from them. ChowNow is a scam!

Ordered a pizza. Order went to the wrong restaurant, it didn't show up on my chownow account. Customer service told me the confirmation email went to my "other email" but can't tell me which one. No refund.

I would give 0 stars it were an option. The driver lied about the time that she would come. After already being over 40 minutes late. She told me she was five minutes away. That was over 20 minutes ago. Just be honest.
Won't Guarantee Delivery Time/Quality and Won't Delete Accounts
After signing-up for the online food ordering I learned the service is very poor, the food order for my elderly parent could be driven around from place to place before delivery so I could not be certain the meal would be in "ready to serve" condition when it was finally delivered (it MIGHT be kept warm but there was no assurance of that but the food's crispy or tender condition, etc. would not be assured at all). I tried to delete the account and you absolutely can't do that! After quite a bit of time with online contact I was assured they would take action to delete the account after two weeks and ensuring my privacy which is unrelated to closing an unused account! It's now over two weeks and no contact and the account isn't closed. Please don't even think of using this service unless you don't mind your data being trapped in their system and don't care about quality service for your money.

chow now delivery service driver ruined my meal experience by requesting that I go and get my ID because she thought cocktail sauce listed on the receipt was an alcoholic beverage. Chow now driver did not understand that restaurant does not deliver alcohol. She caused a debacle at the front door of the house people inside the house thought I was ordering alcohol. When it only cocktail sauce for shrimp. The instructions on the order said to leave the food at the front door. There was not supposed to be any conversation with the customer. acceptable delivery service. Chow now is a scam. I used the service one time. My order never came I waited over an hour. The support number they provide doesn’t work keeps telling me all messages are blocked. I called the place where the order was being made the guy told me the order was cancelled. I emailed them they said they would get back to me in 3-5 business days I’ve been waiting since 6/23/25 it’s now 7/26/25 no response no refund

Local restaurant stopped using ChowNow because they haven't paid them and cancelled the service. ChowNow still accepted the order took my money and even told me when the order would be ready. The restaurant never received my order and when I contacted customer support they informed me that they have already paid the restaurant and that they will look into my order and will get back with me no sooner than 3 business days. Do not use this app, contact the restaurant directly to avoid this experience.

My (total of 2 over two years) orders and pick up went fine. However, trying to cancel my ChowNow account has been a nightmare with no end. After opening my account on their website, it would not provide my credit card number or any option to cancel it. I spent considerable time using all options available: online, by email and by phone. Last I heard, someone was going to "get back to me" ... and that hasn't happened.
First and only time I've had an online service which would not allow me to remove my credit card authorization and close my account. Beware!!~
