Have been chasing for almost 3 weeks to have the skip collected. Communication is terrible. No one should use this skip company
Sloppy work & booking problems
Had issues booking,wrong details put in & 1 payment held,tried again when I'd said wait let me contact bank. So £550 was held by bank & £550 taken as payment. Had to wait a week for my money back. Skip dumped in gateway. Can't get in with shopping have to pass it over the fence. Dog can escape. Flight risk child. Lazy & just dunped.

Avoid Circle Waste – Hidden Charges, Poor Communication, and Misleading Service
I had a very frustrating experience with Circle Waste and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
What they don’t tell you upfront is that they don’t actually own any skips – they’re just a middleman. They take your booking and then contact a local skip company to deliver the skip, which adds a layer of confusion and zero accountability.
Once the skip was delivered, I asked for it to be collected. They vaguely said it would be “in 3 to 5 days” with no exact date or time. Then they showed up without any warning, and because there was a small issue — like the skip being slightly overfilled or access being temporarily blocked — they just left without informing me.
Days later, they called and said the driver had a “wasted journey” and I now had to pay £150 (£125 + £25 VAT). No chance to fix the issue, no prior warning — just an unexpected bill. It felt like a deliberate tactic to charge more.
They have terrible communication, don’t give you a chance to resolve anything, and seem more interested in finding ways to add extra charges than actually providing a helpful service.
They present themselves well online, but behind the scenes, it’s just a money-grabbing operation.
Avoid the hassle and book directly with a local skip hire company. Circle Waste is not worth it.

Beware
Booked a skip and had to cancel so called back a few minutes after initially booking to explain and was charged £60 for the pleasure. no mention of a cancellation charge beforehand and it was literally 5 mins after I'd first booked.
This is outrageous !!!
Shambles
Was quoted an amount, the amount was paid, confirmation received then received an email asking for nearly the same amount again to be paid for the skip to be delivered. Over a week for a refund to be processed. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

I had booked a skip for Saturday the the 12th of April for an ongoing construction project that requires several skips during the course. On the booked day the skip did not arrive and the office was closed meaning I was unable to find out why. Due to the nature of the project I had to pay same day fee to alternative waste collection company locally, when the office opened Monday i explained the situation and was told it would escalated, i did not hear back and then when i rung to confirm collection and asked how i would be compensated for the charges incurred due to the incapability of circle waste the statement i was given was "you know we are a service that uses third party vendors" This to me is irrelevant, you pay for a service and the company receiving the money are responsible for doing so!
AVOID THIS COMPANY AND GO STRAIGHT TO THE LOCAL PEOPLE THEY WORK WITH!!!
Fraud
Ordered a skip again thinking it was a local company and wasn’t. After reading reviews and feeling ripped off I emailed them to cancel. Not explaining any cancellation policy they took £60 cancellation after telling them within 7 hours I wanted to cancel. Bank contacted not happy at all.
Farcically poor customer service
So these clowns pupport to be a skip brokerage, their hold line ( you will hear a lot of that when you have a problem ) consists of really annoying music and incontinent upbeat messages, average wait is 10 minutes. this is my last correspondence to them:
"You have failed to deliver my order causing me to spend time and money and incur excessive risk of failing to complete my project on time and to budget.
Specifically:
You failed to tell me my skip would not arrive on the 10th April when you already knew the delivery time was in jeopardy. I had to phone you to find out on the afternoon of the delivery date
You undertook to inform me as soon as soon as you you knew when my skip would or would not arrive - you failed to do that
I called you again and you offered me the Monday 14th as an alternative - way outside my project envelope, I have been paying for plant lying idle waiting for a skip so I had to cancel and re-scheduled with local supplier.
Now I would like my money back please!
You have caused me no end of trouble, "
Beware contractors and private homeowners
Contractors and private homeowners you must avoid this company at all cost!!! They operate from local area phone codes
but are only middle men telephoning round local skip companies. A week before commencing an emergency contract my regular skip hire company could not deliver till first thing the following Tuesday Am
I paid over the skip rate to this company by card as they promomised me a skip first thing Monday Am By the afternoon I had telephoned them 3 times and kept on hold by several people for 55 minutes.. they play music that stops and starts hoping you will get fed up..
or think the phone has gone offline so that you too end call thinking call has ended.
Eventually someone answered - and said it would now be Tuesday am first thing.
By Tuesday Lunchtime to my disbelief my usual skip company arrived!
The Company will deduct £50 if you can eventually get through on the phone line to try and cancel a skip that does not arrive on the day it was booked for.

Really wouldn't bother
Very similar experience to the other negatives. Called a 'local' skip company to arrange a skip delivery. Ordered a skip to arrive today. Payment went out and paperwork came through with today on it. Called them this morning to get an ETA to be told that it had been booked in for the following day. Was told that it must have been processed wrongly but nothing they could do about it. Asked for a full refund which will take 3 - 5 days to process. Turns out that this isn't a local company but a national broker. Have now called a local company who are significantly cheaper and are delivering today for me. I wouldn't even bother if I was you.
AVOID!
waiting for our skip to be collected which is costing us a fortune in project delays! The company do not care, they do not answer the phone, are in no hurry to collect once they have got their money, we are now stuck with a skip and stuck with project costs until its collected, AVOID!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service, held on the phone for nearly an hour. Took money and said I could only speak to a specialist to discuss delivery, but no-one answers the phone. AVOID at all cost and will never use them again.
Joke of a company
Joke of a company. Scheduled date skip did not turn up. Rescheduled date skip did not turn up. Awaiting 3rd date now but starting to think I’ve been conned. Happy and quick to take your money but not so happy or quick to deliver the promised service. Will never use again

Absolutely atrocious service
Absolutely atrocious service, AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! Arranged collection of skip then they arrived before agreed collection time and as a result could not collect skip, so charged me £216!
If you’re looking to be scammed out of your money then this is the skip company for you. Never will use again, abhorrent service.

I PHONED THEM, THINKING IT WAS A LOCAL COMPANY, THEY GAVE ME A PRICE, WHICH I ACCEPTED, AND I PAID OVER THE PHONE. I THOUGHT THE PRICE INCLUDED VAT. THREE MINUTES LATER I FOUND OUT MY BUILDER HAD ALREADY ORDERED A SKIP SO I RANG CIRCLE STRAIGHT AWAY AND CANCELLED. THEY SAID THERE WAS A £50 CANCELLATION FEE. THREE DAYS LATER THE MONEY WAS PAID BACK INTO MY BANK MINUS £60 (THEY HAD CHARGED VAT ON THE REFUND). THEY SAID I SHOULD HAVE READ THEIR TERMS AND CONDITIONS. I ASKED HOW BECAUSE I ORDERED BY TELEPHONE AND THEY DIDN'T TELL ME ANY, DO NOT CONSIDER USING THIS OUTFIT.

Ordered a skip from what I thought was a local company but be aware these guys are just agents.
The skip didn't arrive when ordered so phoned to complain and was told it would be there in 20mins .. 1 hour later still no skip so called back and they wouldn't answer the phone to my number. Used a friend's phone and my call was answered straight away. Got an agreement to cancel and full refund.
Refund eventually arrived minus a cancellation charge. Having to arrange charge back with bank now. AVOID these guys!!!
Skip arrived 2 days late, despite promises
Booked and paid for a skip online, they then emailed the day later to say they didn't have any on my reserved date (Tuesday), could they deliver a day later (Wednesday). Spoke on the phone to confirm it could be delivered on Wednesday - Wednesday came and went, still no skip. Must have spent nearly 2hours on hold on Wednesday over 4 or 5 different calls trying to get hold of them, no answer. Sent emails, no answer.
Skip arrived 0745 on Thursday morning, but by this time I'd had enough and refused delivery. Office then rang me straight away, and in fairness, gave me a full refund.
This is a central company that uses local firms to deliver - I'm not entirely sure who is to blame, but I won't be going back.

Booked online for a specific date, then they emailed to say it would have to be 2 days later or refunded
Then when I called to get it collected a young lad was extremely flippant and robotic to the point of rude! Definitely no customer service skills!
Uncoordinated
It was hard to tell how organised they were, from my experience of them.
I hired a skip, which arrived on time, ostensibly for fourteen days, which I also confirmed with the driver who brought it.
THE VERY NEXT MORNING, a lorry turned up to collect the still-empty skip, but this driver had the sense to ring me when he realised there'd been a mix up.
Luckily, I then managed to practically fill the skip over the next week, because another one of their lorries turned up, unbidden, early in the morning, after only SEVEN days and took the skip away!
I did email them about this, but have not received any response. Clearly, others have had much worse experiences of this company, and at least I was able to dispose of (most) of my rubbish, but they only let me have the skip for seven days, instead of the fourteen days as they had promised on their website and the email that confirmed the original order.
I don't think I would use them again and wouldn't be inclined to recommend them to anyone else either. Hence three stars.
