We used cleertax for two years and I need to say that we are very disappointed:
- they are not responsive, you need to ping them several times to get an answer
- they make tons of mistakes, some of which we have noticed on time, but currently we need to redo the whole 2023 because they filed the wrong stuff in the wrong states.
- they don't feel responsible for the mistakes they made. they filed an extension on our behalf that was rejected, but they still try to convince us that everything was okay
The first year was okay-ish, so we gave them one more chance. They were assuring us that the processes are now better. And now, the CEO is ghosting us when we ask to at least give us the money back for the wrong filings.

While we acknowledge the delays in communication may have added to your frustration, the filings were based on the accurate details you gave us and were completed according to tax regulations.
We know taxes can feel overwhelming, and we understand your frustration with the process. That said, we believe we acted in good faith, ensuring everything was filed correctly. We're committed to transparency and maintaining the highest standards, and we hope this clears up any misunderstandings.

the tax prep was relatively ok but they gave me some weird advice which all other accountants I checked with advised against.
Also, they refused to help me with a notice I received and pointed me to the 800 number which doesn’t work so I ended up needing to ask another CPA to help me with the notice. Would not use again.

Simple and Educational
I worked with Lyn Pineda and Maria Alyssa Gonzales to file my tax return.
The whole process was extremely easy and efficient.
This was my first year filing a tax return for a C-Corp and they were extremely helpful.

DONT use Cleer at all costs!
Looking at other reviews here, most of them must be false/fake reviews.
I've worked with lots of service providers in my career and this is likely the worst experience I've ever had. We used Cleer to file our business tax return.
- Though we had sent in our business info well in advance of the return deadline, the 1st time we saw a draft return for me for review was at ~6pm on the filing deadline date, even though I had regularly followed up with Cleer, always hearing "you'll get your draft very soon". Then, once I received the draft, it was terrible - so much was missing, there were incorrect numbers in pretty much every field. It was clearly a last minute shoddy job.
- They offered to do an amendment. It took 1 YEAR to get through it, which is crazy. The amount of errors in every step of the way, switching to 2 different accountants on their team (where the 2nd person had little idea what the 1st did), and consistent mistakes even to the last signature page. This has wasted so much of my time. Each of my prior year tax returns I had a different accountant do took literally 20 minutes of my time to review and there were no errors. With Cleer, I've spent over 20 hours for 1 return.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Excellent advice and fast response
We received an email from DE Tax Authority saying we owed over $150k in overdue taxes and fees. We contacted Cleer.tax and they sorted it out in the same day. Very knowledgeable and thorough, they explained all the possible issues and guided us in the right direction

Personable, Real, and Actionable Communication
Our experience was great as the team members obviously communicated with each other to ensure no information or requests were overlooked.
