Excellent products and customer service
These are the 3rd and 4th products I've bought from Closer Pets in the last year and all have arrived on time, easy to install and work perfectly. I needed to contact your support for a clarification on one product and Melanie from customer support got bact to me quickly, politely and very helpfully and the problem was resolved.

The items were delivered loose in a bubble wrap envelope. I expected that each item would be wrapped individually in bubble wrap or paper tissue. I understand the eko concerns, but the two items were not secured in place, were moving inside of the envelope and could have been damaged. Fortunately the product seems to be ok. I am happy with the delivery time.

Great products, but expensive shipment
The web is easy to navigate and the prices are great. The only negative I found was the shipment price. 13 euros to ship something from Germany to Spain is quite expensive and normally any EU travel costs half the price. I'm happy with what I purchased, and hopefully it will last me a long time so it will all be worth it.

Closer Pets made a mistake in my address and my package was sent to n°1 in my street. But n°1 does not exist. GLS said in was delivered. But where then ?
I already wrote them twice but no answer. So I never received the items I ordered. 😡

OK experience
The purchase went smoothly. However, processes without VAT are confusing. Not very cost-effective without discount. I bought my 3rd product because of a good experience with the previous two. I am a bit disappointed with the two-meal feeder because the timer is very imprecise - I am not talking about minutes, but rather half an hour.

The Two-meal Automatic Pet Feeder comes with an analogue timer, meaning that the timings aren’t as precise as some of our other models. If you’re looking for something more precise, I would recommend the Three-meal Automatic Pet Feeder with Digital Timer. It has an easy-to-use digital timer and the option to have two timed feeds and one meal available immediately.

The EU website is poorly maintained
The EU website is poorly maintained. It is never indicated that prices shown are ex. VAT, despite EU law mandating this. It is not until you check out that you find out VAT will be added to the cost.
Furthermore there is a text on the website that says shipping is free when buying over a certain amount. Despite this, shipping costs are added at checkout. When I wrote their customer service and asked about this, they said that they hadn’t offered free shipping for months. I even sent them a screenshot of the text in question. Despite this they didn’t seem to have any plan to remove the text on the website about free shipping, or offer me free shipping. Poor maintenance. Poor customer care.

We take customer feedback very seriously and so reviewed our website after receiving your message and it appears as though the free delivery message was mistakenly left on certain pages of the website following the removal of the offer. I am sorry for any confusion this has caused you, and we have since removed all remaining messaging about this offer to avoid this happening again. If, however, you feel that this is still visible anywhere, do let us know and we will remove. As for tax, it is common for European websites to add the relevant regional tax amount at checkout, however, we have reviewed our pricing information and will be adding clarification of this to all product pages to ensure our pricing is as clear and transparent as possible.
