If I could 0 stars for Command Strip products I would. Ive had several broken disasters using these, despite purchasing the proper type ( for weight of the item) and following all instructions. They are terrible. Broken pictures in glass frames, mirrors, tiles, and tonight a small glass mobile. All broken items over the past year. Waste of money.

Followed instructions hanging hook on tiles in the bathroom but after 12 hours the clock weighing 500 grams on a hook supposed to carry 1.3kg fell off the wall and smashed. Useless product 3M should be held accountable

Terrible. Followed instructions carefully. 6 months later 3 of 4 strips unstuck from wall. 4th then separated between the 2 still stuck portions.

3M support was exhausting forcing me to read back each and every step I followed to install them. I had to read the steps off the package and agent was unsympathetic informing me for no reason that I was being abusive.

Even a 1 star is too much! I bought a set of six hooks that are meant to hold up to 900 g in weight only to find they do not even stick to the surfaces they say they will stick on. Upon peeling off the “wall side”, they are not even sticky! They will not stay on anything! I virtually had to use gorilla glue to be able to make them stick to the surface!
I paid £10.50 for six wire hooks, and not one of the sticky pads worked!
Don’t waste your money

Bought the heavy duty wreath hook to hang a fresh wreath which wasn’t particularly heavy but thought better to be safe and get the heavier weight one.

Followed instructions exactly and then hung the wreath. Less than 8 hours later, the wreath and hook were on the floor.

I really can’t see why a company can sell a product that just doesn’t work on the majority of surfaces, surely that is false advertising.

I’m never buying one again. Unless you are hanging something like a tea towel then they are absolutely useless and are not fit for purpose and you end up with damaged items that have crashed to the floor.

I would not recommend these hung a picture after following instructions half hour later picture and hook fell damaging the wall and breaking plug socket.

I have used command hooks and picture hangers for many years and always thought they were excellent sticking very well and coming off when you want without damage, but I have stopped buying them as for some reason they no longer work. The last few pack I have purchased simply fell off the wall and I used them in the same way as I always have and certainly not exceeding the weight guidelines . I was shocked to see the ratings on here and I don't appear to be alone in having a low opinion of the product, interestingly the 5 star ratings are OLD so maybe they have detreated in quality over the years.

I went against my better instincts and bought these hanging strips as I wanted a collection of mirrors to sit flush on the wall. Dream on. All mirrors ended up on the floor causing damage to a wall a radiator and some of the frames . Amazingly the mirrors didn't break!!!. What a waste of time and money this truly useless product really is.
Why are 3M still trading? Wish I had also read these reviews.

Completely don’t do what they say! They do not stick adequately and absolutely damage walls and paintwork!

Do not waste your time buying anything from this company

They print a picture of a 900g weight on all packaging !!

These hooks couldnt hold 9g !!

Whatever you hang please expect to drop and smash or break or suffer damage

Terrible products that are not fit for purpose

3m wrecked my walls. Actually does the opposite of what they advertise. Just use a nail, seriously. I have uploaded photo on "product review" website. Wish I could do so here.
Have to putty and repaint wall which was what I was hoping to avoid by using this product. Never again!

Pulled wall paper from the wall and the picture fell down not impressed waste of money

Bought two hangers to use in the bathroom for hand towels but only lasted a couple of hours before they became detached from the wall tiles.Utter rubbish,don"t buy.

I followed the hanging instructions to the letter but the strips didn't stick and my picture frame broke when it fell. I contacted 3M, who make the product, and had to fill in a page of questions and provide photographic evidence before they would consider my complaint. Despite giving them all the correct information they refused to accept fault and basically accused me of lying. Do not use this product

Command strips, good or bad? My general advice is use the size up for the weight of the picture you are putting up.
I was getting really annoyed with picture movement and realigning my pictures. I have a hallway with about 30+ pictures hanging. After decorating and filling in the holes.
I used command strips.
One fell down with the suggested strips. I used the next size up, and it's been ok since. No checking anymore for wonky pictures.
I would also suggest using a spirit level on top of the picture as an essential part of positioning your pictures.
Always always check to see where they are on offer as well. They aren't exactly great value for money.

Velcro for 15 lbs peels apart. I vehemently followed Command Strips directions for this product yet it has ruined to very expensive wall hangings that I have to take back to the reframing
BTW ! I have to do electrical work, for damages from picture fall BUSTING an outlet And so these are just junk. Terrible. It’s going to cost a lot to reframe these particular pieces.

Very, very poor. Used 6 on a picture, cleaned the area first, made sure of weight restrictions but they still didn't stick. Would not recommend at all. Would have given no starts if it was possible.

The 3m what a joke I’ve brought the hooks so I don’t have a hole in the wall to hang a kids shelve which isn’t heavy. I’ve ended with a more serous problem toke the wall paint plus a bit of the wall where it was suppose to hang now I have to fill it then sand and paint the wall, to top it off it didn’t even last an hour waste of money don’t buy and this is me trying in different parts of the room so it stays

Whoever owns this company should just shut down get another job waste of money plus more money to repair. Avoid at all costs

Bought 3m 2lbs command strips
The hook failed within the first hour. Causing the iteam to fall, it also removed the finish from the desk I was attaching it to. Waste of time, money and now by desk has a spittle size of a quarter with the finish gone. This is ridiculous, do they not test their product. Will NEVER BUY AGAIN
