Lovely location and atmosphere but rude service
Lovely location and atmosphere, but service was really poor.
I ordered a coffee and dessert at the bar. The Latte was bought to the table but I was told that there was a 20 minute wait for the dessert. After about 40 minutes, I asked a member of staff if it would take much longer only we needed to leave soon. I was quizzed about when I ordered and told there was no order for my table. I pointed out I was drinking the latte and that the bill had come to around £11 so they must have put it through. She then said the dessert was priced at £15 so I couldn’t have ordered. I had to show her the menu which stated it was £7.95.
I politely asked for a refund as we needed to leave. She then went through the computer looking for the order. She eventually came to the table abruptly with a card reader to issue the refund. No apology, and acted like she was doing me a favour. It was bizarre behaviour, very rude and unprofessional. I looked for the lady who had served me initially at the bar, but she had finished and gone home 30 minutes earlier.
I usually go to the town centre Cosy Club and have had excellent service from them. Cardiff Bay however was really disappointing.
Good food, polite staff, nice atmosphere
Enjoyed a bank holiday lunch and drinks here. Just showed up, very friendly and accommodating staff. Explained there was a little wait time but ensured we were served drinks and able to wait until a table was free for food. Staff kept us up to date on the wait time and we were seated pretty quickly.
Service was good, staff polite and professional. Clean environment, good atmosphere and the food was very good too.
Seems to be a lot of variation depending on locations, but the Coventry city centre location was great.
Went to cozy club Mk with my family
Went to cozy club Mk with my family
The staff were unprofessional and slow I waited 1hr 40mins for food to arrive. When it came I refused it and left the restaurant.
Do your self a favour and go elsewhere.
Cosy club Ipswich
Cosy club Ipswich, has a great selection of breakfast choices and the food itself was amazing. We were served by a lady called Paula and it made the experience that much better, she was great couldn’t fault her!
Rude management staff, slow food
Having booked for 4 bottomless brunches we started well and the first glass of fizz arrived within a minute of sitting down. Sadly the food didn’t arrive until over 1hr 20 later. Unsurprisingly with no food by this point we were disappointed but nothing prepared us for being shushed by a member of staff when we waved to a friend. The young woman we had as a waiter was fabulous but the rudeness of the male staff when dealing with 4 tipsy middle aged women was unbelievable. You advertise a bottomless brunch, don’t serve food for well over an hour due to allowing more customers that you have kitchen staff to cope with and then you minimize 4 women who were giggling and minding their own business???? A ruined day due to your manager and his sidekick. I used to like CC but we won’t be back.
Great meal celebration
Great meal, great atmosphere and brilliant friendly efficient service by Chloe who was excellent.
Excellent visit.

Lunch in Plymouth today
Lunch in Plymouth today! Was a great atmosphere everyone was so friendly! Food was great and loved my cheeky cocktail
Booked for a Sunday brunch
Booked for a Sunday brunch. Everything was cold although not surprisingly as it took 3/4 hour to arrive. Clearly say about for sometime.
Dilemma - have another one cooked and wait another 45 mins or leave and get on with my life and not miss my Apple appointment.
Poor food and service
Went on an old girls do(in our 70s) in Nottingham. One member required a large print menu which they didn’t have and the waiter said we often get asked for that! We waited 45 minutes from our booking time before the food arrived. The food was neither good nor interesting. The sea bass was supposed to be with noodles but came with spaghetti! 4 of us shared a bottle of Villa Maria and were shocked when we got the bill to see it was £36! Admittedly we should have checked before ordering. As our party was 8 the bill said a 10% tip was expected. I for one won’t return. This is my personal view. I cannot speak for all in the party.
Had a lovely night with Socialise Salisbury
I had a great time coming down for Socialise Salisburys event at the cosy club! Unfortunately I forgot my phone and ended up super early chatting with the barstaff, I found everyone incredibly kind and helpful! The atmosphere was fantastic and the bar staff seem to have been chosen purely because they are attractive and charismatic.
I was also complimented on my clothes by several of the bartenders, everyone made me feel really welcome when I was sat there alone for so long
Lovely atmosphere and staff.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely staff but Xmas menu lunch time. Two or three courses. Went with 6 friends. Because we chose two courses we all had to have either the starters or all had to have desserts. I have food intolerances so wanted dessert. However others wanted starters so I was forced into the starter. Where's the freedom of choice here. Won't be going again
I used to like this restaurant
I used to like this restaurant. The food is never substantial but quite interesting and quirky. However, the visit on 7th December was very disappointing. The service was very slow, even though the place was nearly empty. Half the menu was unavailable - all the chicken dishes, and the one pork meal. I chose the lamb, which was nice but a very small portion. I had asked for cider as usual but they no longer serve draft cider. I had the lemon posset which was lovely as it always is, but I also ordered a chocolate orange negroni. It was awful. The "orange" was a slice of dried up orange which had no juice to flavour the drink, and I couldn't detect any chocolate at all. The drink was supposed to come with a "treat", but it didn't. I asked the waiter about it, and he'd no idea what the treat was. After enquiring, he told me it was a chocolate orange, but they didn't have any. The latte and mocha were good, but all-in-all it was a very disappointing visit.
Avoid the Risotto
The risotto was minimal and poor. I could not detect Arborio rice or any rice. It was brown porridge consistency. Embarrassing for the ‘chef’ NO star rating for my food. Avoid the Risotto.
New and tidy establishment. Excellent waiter.
Above and beyond customer service
Just spoke to someone at the Norwich Cosy Club as numbers for our planned Christmas meal have increased. He went above and beyond to accommodate us despite it being a busy and booked evening. He was very polite and I felt well taken-care-of. Thank you, Cosy Club Norwich!
Cosy club Canterbury unfortunately not great.
We visited the new cosy club in Canterbury. The place looks nice and staff were welcoming and friendly enough. We were seated and immediately asked for drinks but having not looked at the menu we asked for just a couple of minutes. We ordered food and drinks together. The drinks were a long wait and the food came first. I was less than impressed with the pancakes. Presentation was zero and it was just above cold. I was expecting fresher ingredients because of the price and a place that looked like they were going for a bit more of an upmarket style. Pancakes were the scotch ones you can heat in the microwave and the berries that were on the menu were some extremely over sweet berry compote. Along with the Yoghurt slopped on the plate it looked like a bad meal and didn’t taste great. I don’t mind paying extra if the foods good and can back up the prices. A few fresh ingredients would have made this so much better. My friend had avocado on toast and paid to add bacon and egg. All in all it added up to be fairly expensive for another average meal. I like sweet things but like the berry compote, the raspberry and vanilla martini was so over sweet.
To be fair the waiter did ask how things were and I didn’t feel like saying. It was only when I realised I’ve left the place feeling hungry but also a bit sickly after all the extra sweet things that I felt like mentioning something. My own fault. Such a shame because it looks like a premium place with premium prices but not backed up by the main product of food and drink. If this was improved I’d probably visit frequently.
Slow service and weird food design
Our table waited 30 minutes for 8 drinks to arrive at Canterbury, then later one guest waited 20 minutes for a single drink order to arrive. There seems to be a shortage of waiting staff, but it probably doesn’t help that the bar is on Ground Floor and the main restaurant area is on the floor above. The small tumbler containing non-alcoholic punch came with the glass half full with ice, that is illogical unless you are purposely trying to disguise the small serving of drink! Some of the cuisine seems to have been designed by someone with no talent for it or no tastebuds. The ‘Calibrian Chicken’ is a dish to avoid unless you don’t mind your tastebuds being scorched by what tastes like slices chicken swimming in a mixture of brown sauce, soy sauce and stewed onion in equal proportions. Although it mentions paprika in the menu, it shouldn’t be smothered in a copious amount sufficient to leave you with a disgusting taste that you’ll be able to sense the following morning. The children’s ‘Macaroni Cheese’ was also a weird concoction containing about 40% green peas; I’ve never seen that done before, and it makes no sense for a child’s dish where the guest might wish to avoid greens. The prices are as lavish as the décor.
Great food and service
Great food and service. Amy was particularly great - friendly and helpful.
NOT dog friendly
We booked with our dog for a lunchtime sitting in Lincoln. We were put on an high table at the bar. Not dog friendly when you have a short lead. Having been given our menus we waited patiently for them to take our order but no one did. We got the attention of a staff member to be told in the bar area you have to go up to the bar to order. Good job there was 2 of us otherwise the dog would have had to go to the bar with us which was really busy & not dog friendly. Food was nice but on our return home I received an email saying I had cancelled the booking so what was that all about. There are some dog friendly eateries in Lincoln but this is definitely not one of them & should not advertise itself as dog friendly
Bournemouth Cosy Club was buzzing…
Bournemouth Cosy Club was buzzing Saturday lunchtime. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Hannah our server was great.
