It would be nice if the shop would carry big dog items like large or extra large bully harnesses why of all things do they only have the bully harness in small and medium when a bully dog itself is a large dog and most bully breeds are large dogs it doesn't make sense and it's not fair to people who have bully dogs or any other large dog to shop at there store if they only cater to lap dogs and little dogs not all large dogs are capable of defending themselves from predators like my 9 year old 65 pound dog with hip dysplasia what this company doesn't think he needs protection from predators when we go out in the woods only up to 28 pound lap dogs that mostly stay home deserve to use there products for protection because it's cheaper to produce and ship smaller products and the company doesn't really care to provide all dogs protection products because it's not as profitable to make and sale larger sizes for them im thinking not a company I will ever buy from or recommend to anyone because there not offering protection to all dogs just the one's that are most profitable shame on them

I ordered a coyote vest and collar for my cavalier who keeps getting attacked by other dogs.
I'm very impressed with the quality of the vest and the thought behind the whole design.
The only thing I will say is I have sewn on the extra elastic to make proper fitted leg elastics and I was disappointed that there is no harness hole which I really think there should be as collars are just not safe for dogs trachea. Also the existing collar loop us unfortunately plastic which doesn't givee a lot of confidence in the longevity of it.
I had to keep taking his vest on and off because the collar harness loop was making him choke. So whilst it's a thoughtful design thee is room for improvement.

However we are overall happy.

I am pleased with my purchase of the CoyoteVest for my dog. It protects her from coyote attacks and makes her stylish and noticeable. The vest is easy to put on and take off, and it does not interfere with my dog's movement or breathing. It has multiple pockets where I can store water, treats, and other items. Additionally, the vest has reflective stripes that increase safety in low-light conditions. My dog is comfortable and confident in this vest, and I am too. I recommend CoyoteVest to all dog owners who want to protect their pets from predators and give them a unique look.

I purchased the coyote vest and whiskers nearly a year ago after adopting an 18-pound dog. The goal was for him to be able to play in the fenced backyard without worrying so much about coyote attacks. We live in a residential neighborhood about 1.5 to the ocean, where coyotes have been spotted on the streets. They come up from a surrounding canyon.

On the positive side, the vest DOES give us some sense of security against coyotes.

On the negative side, we've had persistent problems with the velcro spike strips staying on. During the first week of having the vest, we lost one of the strips in the yard and I've still not found it. I contacted Coyote Vest right away, hoping that they might replace the strip, and the person with customer service suggested that it was user error -- telling me to check for fur on the strips and make sure they were clean. They also said that the velcro quality is inconsistent and that they can't ensure all strips will be the same. My dog doesn't shed and the brand new vest was clean. I was told that I could order additional strips. Because this was a $100 purchase, I didn't want to spend more money.

The whiskers didn't work for us because my dog comes in-and-out of the house through a doggie door and the whiskers didn't survive that process. So we returned those for a refund.

Since then, I've basically given up on the spike strips because they regularly come off. We now just use the vest without spikes, which hopefully offers some protection. I had intended to take the vest to a seamstress to get the strips permanently sewed on, but haven't gotten around to doing that and , again, don't really want to spend more money fixing the problem.

I would recommend that Coyote Vest offer an option to have the strips permanently attached before shipping them to customers.

Well made! Great product and easy to use! Reduced my anxiety about my pets getting eaten by about 90%!

The vest is very sturdy and very easy to put on my 12 lb dog. I hope to goodness we are never in the situation to know if the vest actually prevents an attack or an abduction so at this point I give 5 stars for the construction of the vest.

I have two dogs I bought a vest for. We got the coyote vest, whiskers and hawk shield. The vest works well on one of my dogs but the other dog it does not. The velcro keeps coming off and we have almost lost some spikes and a set of 3 whiskers. The vest does not stay on her straight either. It rotates to her side. If we put the strap tighter, it hurts her. It has to be really tight not to rotate to her side. We were told to super glue the velcro on. However, this would make it permanent and we could not take anything off like it was made to do. The problem could be that my dogs hates the vest and is always shaking (making the vest rotate and velcro to fall off)?? My dog also has short legs and a round body. That maybe a factor too??

I purchased a CoyoteVest because our dog was attacked by a coyote many years ago. After the coyote attack, I have always been afraid to take our dog out at night. Now that I have the CoyoteVest, my confidence has improved. Because our dog is older, he is does not want to poop with the CoyoteVest on. It took a little while for him to get comfortable to urinate during our walks. I’m reviewing this product as a 5 because with continued training, I’m sure our dog will get more comfortable wearing the CoyoteVest and I like having a product that provides some form of protection instead of having nothing.

It was delivered very quickly. It really is light weight for his little 4 pound body. The spikes are very sturdy and would seem to do damage. He looks so cute and looks like the toughest guy on the street! I wish you made them to fit my pit bull. He is very friendly ~ but other dogs act like they would attack! If that happens ~ I have no doubt he would survive only to be destroyed because of his breed. I carry pepper spray but would like another option.

I bought 2 coyote vest. Vest is a little pricey. At first my Boarder Terrier didn’t seem to like the vest but after a couple of times wearing it he doesn’t seem to mind it as much. One vest fits well and the 2nd one slides to the right. No matter how snug I adjust vest it won’t stay centered. It leaves the left side of my dog almost uncovered.

Lola’s vest arrived right on time as promised, well packaged and with easy instructions for the assembly of her ‘bristles’. Lola wears her vest every night and actually waits for me to put it on her before venturing out. It is very well made and will last a lifetime. I just ordered the whiskers to add to a raincoat my dogs already have. I found putting the whiskers together kinda fun and relaxing. The quality is good and thankfully came without a ton of packaging. I would recommend this product.

The CoyoteVests are the best investment we could make to help deter the coyotes, mountain lions, hawks and other birds of prey from attacking the fur babies. Pamela's customer service and communication is outstanding!

After my chihuahua was killed by a pitbull in Feb of 2018, I started looking for ways to protect my next dog. I found CoyoteVest and when I got another chihuahua, I promptly purchased this vest. It is very well designed and l love that everything (the spikes, the whiskers) is removable so you can have as little or as much protection as you feel is necessary. For instance, when my dog is in our back yard, I use the vest with just the whiskers to protect her from birds of prey. CoyoteVest has really lessened my anxiety about keeping my pet safe.

I got the studded collar to protect my 20 pound dog from high strung poorly trained younger dogs (labs & retrievers) at the dog park. It works well to protect against aggressive dog play at the park. Have recommended it to other small dog owners at the park.

My dog is extra thin so I had adjust the Velcro I also can't tell if the hawk part will break away because he weighs 4 pounds, but since I have eagles circling it gives me a piece of mind.

Ordering was easy and shipping fast. Product in my opinion is not worth $100. Simple material with Velcro!! I feel if a coyote wanted to attack my dogs, all the Velcro spikes would just come right off. Not worth the money. Disappointed.

I'm happy with the vest, but thought there would be more coverage

They fit well and don't hinder my dogs in any way. I love them!
