I've had 4 Creality machines
I've had 4 Creality machines, ALL of which have had issues and that mean serious downtime. How they are able to operate in Australia is beyond me. I got lucky and got my money back on a dodgy CR10 Smart. I have watched as my first Ender 3 MAX died (that's scrap) an Ender 3 MAX NEO that's still on the workbench after having virtually all electronics parts replaced. It has barely done 400 hours. Next I have a cantankerous CR6se that only prints when it feels like it. I've had to cop it on the chin, moving over to Anycubic was a breath of fresh air. I've got a Phonton Mono X resin, Vyper anf Kobra Plus. 3D modelling is my main retirement hobby - I'm a disability pensioner and I don't want to be constantly tinkering with the machines. They are, after all, only one step in the modelling process.
The worst customer service one could…
The worst customer service one could provide. the people act as robots and continue to ignore the problem to try and point the blame on you. The scanner I bought from a third party is missing components and I've been almost 2 weeks trying to get in comunication with someone to help. I have been pushed around to two different departments.
CR10S pro lost a lot of money and bad service on Aliexpress
my CR10-S pro was not working proper. ALl kinds of things went wrong from burning cables and other things
Because it takes time to test the printer proper I had to send it back all the way to China with a package I worked on for 2 days it was sent back to me
I spent over 800 euro on a lot of Filament and the printer costed 550 back then. It has been in pieces in a corner all these years.
I'm still sick of it when I see it
Don't expect any customer support
Ordered a Ender 3 S1 Pro printer from their UK store, it arrived but the extruder was faulty so I have been dealing with their customer support to get a replacement. Note there is no customer support in the UK or office in the UK to contact. Communication via e-mail was.... difficult but eventually they agreed to send a replacement. I have been waiting for close to a month for the replacement, it still hasn't arrived. I am trying to get them to find out what's going on but communication again is.... well.. not responsive etc. By now I just want to return the printer and get my money back but this seems like you have to ship it back to China (?). There does not seem to be a return address in the UK. The printer has been sitting in a box for more than a month. I am fed up. Do not buy from them unless you want to take the gamble.
Constant Email Harassment
Put one thing in my cart only to find out they don't ship to my area in Canada. That's fine, totally understandable. What isn't ok is emailing me nonstop for the next 24 hours despite me unsubscribing twice and blocking them once yet they still managed to email me even after all of that. Leave me alone.
Bought e5 pro as my first printer
Bought e5 pro as my first printer. After a month of not getting past two layers and the printer kept stopping (as well as only a 15 day warranty) I have given up and made the mistake of buying another creality printer that was supposed to be beginner friendly.
When I received my e3s1 in the mail I unboxed it, set it up, and made four prints very nicely before my thermistor took a sh#t.
I can deal with a little research on fixes but customer service is a week minimum behind and it shouldn't be this way when people spend hundreds of dollars on something like this.
I'm done with this company and will never buy another printer again. rarely have regrets on things I buy, but this I definitely do.
Not user friendly and would not recommend to anyone unless you have a background in computer programming, cad programs, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
Creality support is a nightmare
The instruction manual that came with my Ender 3 S1 Pro was completely useless. If 3D printing is new to you then I strongly suggest finding someone that can help with the basics. I spent a couple of weeks trying to communicate with tech support when the machine arrived and wouldnt work. They dont speak English and I dont speak Chinese. The literature that comes with the machine is completely useless. Its incomplete, confusing and in broken English-Chinese. If you use the chat feature on the Creality web page help feature its Chinese. The only help in the USA that I could find is a California distributor and they dont answer phones and refer you back to the Creality web page again. I eventually got it working after many hours of research on the internet but this has been the worst experience I have ever had with customer support on a $500 dollar purchase. That speaks volumes when you consider Im 68 years old and have purchased a lot of items in my lifetime. The machine works well though if you can ever get it running.
Ordered the Ender 3 S1 and filament
Ordered the Ender 3 S1 and filament. The printer was received in good time but the print bed would not heat. Contacted service and followed there instructions to which according to them was a bad board. That was 8 days ago and the only communication I have received is them trying to send a new hotbed and not the part THEY claim was bad.
I have demanded a refund 3 times over 2 weeks with no dice. I saved for a year for my first printer, can honestly say I might just eat the 400.00 and stay away from 3d printer. I will however spend the next couple of years writing as many bad reviews and I possibly can.
Doesn't know what quality control means.
What went wrong? What hasn't gone wrong. They don't know what quality control is anymore. Crappy extruder, outdated/bad firmware, bed has 98% chance to come warped on their printer, my ender 3 pro came with fire safety DISABLED, they shipped with fake power connectors where they brown up from heat and catch fire eventually, and they don't ever test their products. They just throw the made product in it's box and ship it off. Last purchase which i returned after 3 months was their enclosure. Literally just thin aluminium foil that teared up by looking at it.
Customer Service is terrible
Customer Service is terrible. They will just ignore emails or tell you that "your machine is working" even when it can't power on.
Ender 6 firmware issues
Ender 6 firmware issues, Creality does nothing for months.
The Ender 6 works okay out of the box. If you decide to add BLTouch you're in for a ride. There are multiple issues and multiple fixes scattered around the web.
The main problem, and this has been going on for months, is that the download link to the original firmware on Creality's site is broken! They refuse to respond or fix the issue.
So now I have a $650 printer that doesn't print, and is outside of the return window. These people are lucky they can hide behind their keyboards.
Be wary of ordering anything from creality
Be wary of ordering anything from creality. I purchased the ender 3 pro and out of the box the SD card said it was corrupt. new firmware for the board was downloaded and while trying to insert the SD card into the printer you had to insert it multiple times approximately 8 and more for the board to read the SD card, multiple 8 GB SD cards were purchased. beyond that the printer does not print, it draws weird lines, something is clearly wrong with it and it's not the firmware I have contacted crealities technical support which is garbage, I have been emailing them every day for over 2 weeks and they have not sent me a solution they would just like pictures, finally they sent me firmware, firmware that I had already downloaded, however when they sent it to me it was in a different language, what language I couldn't tell you, their response was "what language is it in" instead of sending firmware in English the language we've been using the entire email thread, the problem is the SD card slot. what I'm getting at is if you buy this product just be prepared to waste your life on trying to make the product work. And don't plan on your warranty being honored.
I purchased a Ender3 v2 that arrived…
I purchased a Ender3 v2 that arrived 6/17/22. I had it assembled in a few hours. The next day I powered it up for the first time, flashing the firmware for the CRTouch. I ran a bedlevel check then leveled the bed manually. That worked better on my other printer. Ran the bed leveling macro again to give me the Z offset. I then changed the SD card with a file I wanted to print, I went to preheat for PLA and the temps started moving up. Good that's working. For about two minutes...it rebooted and it came back. I could move it but every time it reboots as soon as I click the preheat mode. I had had no response to the emails but I have learned that Creality is not good for communication or customer support. Tech Support? Really Their forum is full of complaints. Should have done more research or buy from a vendor that supports its sales. I have started a sales dispute since I had the machine less than 24 hours and the first time powering up it blew up. We shall see how that goes. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
Bad experience with Ender 3 V2.
I ordered and Ender 3 V2 about 2 years ago. When I built the printer I tried to print the test print failed. So, I tried to relevel the bed and it still did not work. I then contacted the company and they basically said to relevel the bed, again! I did this, still did not work. I then tried to turn on the screen. And I was faced with a very faded blue screen. When I contacted them they sent me a new screen, and that didn't work. They then sent me a new motherboard, still didn't work. I had to find a Youtube video that seemed sketchy but I went with it anyway, and the screen finally turned on. Thinking this was the end of my problems tried to print the test print, and it didn't work. I worked so hard on this printer and it has almost never worked. The reason I say almost is because one time I brought it in to my professor and he helped me get it working. We had to completely fix the z-axis stopper, take apart the hot end, take apart the extruder, and relevel the bed. The printer finally worked. But it only worked for one print. After that I was back to step one. At this point I am thinking about donating the printer to my school and forgetting about it. The costumer service did not help at all by the way.
Here's a response from Creality when I…
Here's a response from Creality when I tried to purchase a replacement part for this printer. This printer is less than one year old and I wanted to purchase a heat spreader for them. Creality used a proprietary design so no one had it. Also they are still selling this printer online, Sermoon D1 printer.
=========
Dear,
Good day to you. I'm Tom from Creality.
I'm sorry to reply to you so late.
Since this model is a discontinued model. I asked our colleagues in the mall about the inventory in our warehouse and there is no nozzle kit for SermoonD1.
I have sent your request back to our head office and if it is available, I will contact you immediately.
Have a nice day.
Tom

I contacted creality regarding my order of my 3d printer. I had received my filament but no 3d printer? They told me it was sent separately. They then told me it had been delivered? I never signed for this delivery? I was told to contact Yodel who told me it was left in my outside cupboard which was empty!. When I contacted Yodel they told me they had interviewed driver and assured me it was delivered to correct house they even saw driver at my house on their live map?? They described my house as mid terrace with garage? I don't have a garage!? I have made many complaints and have been fobbed off by both company's passing the buck. No contact number for either..just emails. All I want is my order! Absolutely Criminal!!!
Avoid at all cost
Got my package in a reasonable time. Suppose to be a printer and 2 rolls of filament. Instead I get sent a whole case of filament and 1 roll literally taped to that box. Talk to customer service and for well over a month now still can’t get my money or printer I paid for. They also threatened me if I don’t send the filament they wrongly sent(by law I’m allowed to keep). Some of the worst service I’ve ever seen. Never dealing with creality or any of their products ever again.
I have to make a video about my request asking when the firmware is being released for the Ender 3 S1 Pro (I didn’t)
As many other people stated the support is an insult to paying customers . I asked about the system fan gcode to control and when the firmware for the new Ender 3 S1 pro would be published for download AS THEY HAVNT and should have as part of the open source licence .I also asked how to adjust the Estps for the extruded as it didn’t seem to be in the menu . All very simple common questions that other 3d printing manufacturers answer in hours in a friendly manner sometimes with attachments of firmware versions ot confirm files . Recently I have found Qidi to be excellent they respond 24x7 and the support staff are bright and if they can’t answer they call their engineers .
Their reply reads like something from a scam call centre My first and last creality product klipper firmware installation underway :)) the reply reads
Like “I have no intention of telling you what you’ve asked and am engaging in wasting your time until you get bored / annoyed and bugger off “
So that’s them off my potentials for my print farm
—————
1. Hello, I suggest you provide the operation video so that I can judge the problem for you
2. Enender -3 S1Pro is a touch screen, which can be purchased and used
Really I laughed for 10 minutes it’s for sure the worst support response I’ve had in decades I kid you not .
Useless support
Bought a second ender 3 with a 4.2.2 mainboard, upgraded firmware because it was restarting during pre heating, turns out they are using a different microprocessor but THE SAME BOARD NUMBER, bricked the printer and the correct firmware is not available anywhere. Contacted support and they have not responded.
Edit: OK, After compiling my own firmware and resolving the issue I let tech support know that the firmware on their site will brick boards with the GD32F303RET6 chip that they are now using, I told them I had resolved the issue and how and they directed me to the very same firmware that bricked my printer. As a sanity check I redownloaded the firmware they directed me to and lo and behold, it bricked my printer again, reinstalled my compiled firmware and it's working fine, I told them all they need to do is upload the factory firmware that they install on the boards with the GD32F303RET6 and they said I should go and talk directly talk to their tech team to resolve my issue, the issue I specifically told them how to resolve. you can't make this stuff up.
Buy from anyone by directly from Creality
Closing in on a month and a half, no printer.
My UK (In stock!) printer was lost trying to be exported from Germany. How? Always check the fine print.
Spent the last month being gaslit by support. Now refusal to even acknowledge my cancel and refund request - there is not even a printer in the mail yet - its just an endless circle of meaningless emails to fustrate and delay.
Imagine there is something wrong with this printer on arrival, I have no desire to waste another month of my life in a fruitless back and forth.
Hard lessons learned - some things *should* be bought from amazon when you are dealing with companies with such poor customer service. Always pay by credit card so you can dispute when needed.
