I was nervous…
I was nervous about spending $100 on a company and product that just started coming up in my feeds all the time.
I absolutely love this. Years ago I did a little bit of stuff and used a Dremel. I hated that because it was so big. This is the perfect size for my little hands. it’s powerful, & rechargeable, which is awesome. The charge lasts a long time. Now I just wish I had the little cutting wheel for stone. I’m a lot of things but easily impressed. Has never been one of them. Since I’ve got this, I recommend it to everyone. The people running the show are also 5/5 stars. lol Seriously, try this if you’re into carving & engraving.

Awesome experience
I received my items in a timely manner. Upon arrival everything was packaged well and extremely presentable. I've never done any kind of wood burning or engraving however as a crafty person I was interested in trying. Within the first 15 minutes I realized how easy it was to use, the ability to switch out different parts with no issues and the joy that comes with the experience

So, I bought a bunch of raw Opals, because who doesn’t love a shiny rainbow in a rock?
Only, trying to sand these gems down, on a piece of sandpaper was k.i.l.l.i.n.g. me.. So I broke out my little engraver & WHAT A GAME CHANGER!!
I finally had the shape I wanted, made a wire wrap for the first time & added a darling chain.
Sent it to my Auntie who can’t stop telling me how much she loves it. <3
A Christmas in July thing. Plus, I can’t hold on to a secret present thaaat long!! ;-)

I’m an artist who has carpal tunnel and I am extremely grateful for culiau.com for providing affordable, high quality ergonomic tools. I use the little dremel (I have a much larger one but never use it because the chord and it is way too heavy despite claiming to be “ergonomic”) and I can not wait to buy all the things in culiaus store and will always recommend and come back to this store as long as they keep to their current standards amazing prices, attitude, gentle feel, and quality! An additional bonus is they are a bit close to home to me, based in a neighboring and loved state.
Any creator/artist would be happy to try culiau tools! I received mine as a gift last year and it is amazing!

Ive been using the customizer for wax…
Ive been using the customizer for wax carving and it works great for small details and for carving in places where I cant plug in a dremel or flexshaft.
I would definitely recommend using if you are getting started in carving. My only complaint is I wish it had a little bit more torque for doing deeper cuts a little faster, but other then that it works fantastic.

Include the full manual
The product took a long while to arrive but when it did, everything was great quality. However it's nasty and profiteering to sell the full instruction manual as a separate product. It should be included

Wenn der PEN voll über USB geladen ist, kann man ca. 1,5 Std. damit frei arbeiten.
Er liegt gut in der Hand, der kleine Motor ist kraftvoll, ohne das eine unangenehme Vibration das Bearbeiten stört.
Die aufsteckbaren Werzeugspitzen machen einen guten Job.
Ich bin sehr zufrieden und kann den PEN absolut empfehlen.

I really like the tool but am new to engraving artwork. I reached out to customer service hoping for some direction on what the different bits are, and the appropriate use. Alina sent an email attachment that show all 30 bits and detailed the use. Exactly what I was needing. Thank you very much!

Utterly unresponsive
Utterly unresponsive. I sent a message to customer services with a very straightforward question.
Other than a toe curling cheerful auto response the silence has been deafening. My follow-up chaser has also been ignored.
Don't rely on a response from this company if you do have a problem with the product. You could be waiting a very long time.
Against my better judgement I have ordered - I just hope the product works as I don't think I'd have much chance of any help from them if it doesn't.

I bought the tambour embroidery kit
I bought the tambour embroidery kit, the video looked great, like you could make amazing items. The product came all squished into a bag, the beads are so tiny you can't really do anything with them. An instruction book and 30 patterns are supposed to be available on-line if you scan the QR code. I scanned the code and get a response that I am supposed to sign up for a monthly charge of $32 to open it. I was so excited to be learning another new hobbie, I had to go to Amazon and buy everything seperately and watch utube to see how it is done. I have written about 6 emails to Culiau and got an automatic response that they have formed a ticket, that was 6 day ago and I haven't gotten a response back yet. I don't consider this customer service. I will never make the mistake of dealing with these people again and want to warn others to stay away.

There was an error with my email so I didn’t receive a confirmation email. One email to support and within a few hours they had tracked my order, confirmed my order details and issued a tracking link.

This is a great company. They are quick to return emails.
I did notice on some sites there is another company that stole their images pretending to be Culiau. We need to be aware of this in our reviews. The site looks exactly the same.

Good when it worked but it soon didnt…
I liked this while it was working but it failed within 6months - wouldn’t switch on or fully charge. No option to repair it and as the guarantee is only 60 days the only solution was to buy another.
Was offered discount on a new unit, they added insult to injury by offering to extend the guarantee to a year for an additional 20% on the purchase price.
I’m not prepared to throw away more money, regardless of discount, on a product that even the manufacturer won’t back for more than 60 days. Poor quality product and poor customer service - buyer beware!
Edit: in response to Culiau’s suggestion below that I reach out to their customer service team they should be able to see from their records that I did this before posting my review and there was no satisfactory resolution - all they could offer was that I buy a new unit. They have my contact details if they would like to reach out to me and offer a more helpful solution to convince me that their product and customer service are better.

Poor quality, broke within months
It broke within a couple of months of purchase, the company sent a replacement. That also broke after 7 months. They refused to replace it but offered a discount if I bought another one.
