Great quick service
I initially attempted to sort the customs declaration myself, but the process was not straightforward and revenue imposes tight deadlines. Norma and her team took over and got it sorted from me extremely quickly, keeping me looped in throughout the process. Very happy with my decision to use this service.

Do not use. Do it yourself
They tried to charge me 7000 euro for a tax bill that was not required. I questioned them and they were not able to advise correctly. Asked for a refund of the 120 euro cost but they refused claiming they gave me advice. Well their advice was not correct. I would avoid using this crowd.

The reason for this 1 star review is because we refused to issue this customer a refund of €120.
Here are the facts:
1: The customer ordered a customs declaration online and paid €120.
2: A customs declaration involves the payment of taxes generally 10% customs duty and 23% VAT.
3: The customer emailed us their vehicle documentation and we prepared the customs declaration the customer had ordered and calculated the taxes.
4: We emailed the prepared customs declaration to the customer
5: The customer asked us if it would be possible to import the vehicle as an NI vehicle that was in use in the North for a reasonable period of time.
6: We provided a comprehensive expert advise which outlined their options.
7: We were asked for a full refund of our fee, despite (i)spending a considerable amount of time helping the customer (ii)preparing the customs declaration for the customer and (iii) providing additional comprehensive expert advise,
8: in the interest of full transparency I have included the email we sent to the customer advising them how to proceed, just prior to their refund request

"Proof will be required that the vehicle has been in private ownership for a reasonable period of time."
This vehicle is registered to XX financial services a finance company and has no MOT history.
We are not the decision makers but the VRT/revenue may not accept the V5C as they can argue that XX financial services were not users of the vehicle therefore the V5C is insufficient proof of NI use/ownership.
The only way to find out is to take the vehicle to the VRT/NCT centre and see will they accept the V5C as is or provide additional proof of NI use/ownership.
Do you have any other proof of NI use/ownership?
If VRT/NCT centre refuse to accept the V5C, we can contact revenue directly (an additional fee may apply) on your behalf but they will not engage with us until the vehicle has first been presented to a VRT/NCT centre . Again revenue can refuse to accept the V5C for the reasons outlined above.
I know this is not what you want to hear but hopefully it clarifies the current situation.

Fast and Efficient Service
Reasonable price. Great communication. Fast and efficient with processing the documents required. Great for anyone on a deadline.
I imported a motorcycle to Ireland from the UK and Norma from customsdeclaration.ie made the process much easier and stress free. I would highly recommend.

Very satisfied experience
Norma was appointed for my declaration. He is very helpful, very responsive and very professional. Overall I am greatly satisfied with the service. This is my first time importing a car from Japan for personal use. So, I know nothing about importing a car and Norma did all the heavy lifting of document submission and requesting correct/necessary docs from me.
