App & instructions refinement
I think overall the experience was good but I do have some minor frustrations. I think the app should be tested to be a bit smoother. For me, it kept signing me out of my account and whenever I wanted to just look into my account or check my basket, I had to re-sign in to do so. This left me resigning into my account multiple times for a single task. That is probably the harshest critique I have. The second would be clarification on the shipping label if the item exceeds 20 lbs. The instructions say to just print another label. I took this literally so, I assumed that meant printing the SAME label twice for an additional shipment for the same basket. Maybe this is just my situation but when I took this to UPS they told me I couldn't use the same label twice on two different shipments. I was told I would need a different label for each item? However, the rep was able to help me repackage it back into one big box and it weighed 21 lbs exactly, luckily they still took the shipment and you guys still received it okay. Again, I think it would be best to clarify that more clearly in the instructions. Maybe the rep was not correct because I have heard of shipping multiple boxes to the same address, with the label reading "Box 1 of 2". But under the same tracking number, I'm note entirely sure of that... So, it would help if the instructions refined that explanation a bit for others! Overall, it was a pretty good experience!

You might not get paid
The app never works right and shows value in pounds instead of dollars. I have had multiple orders that they received but never paid me for and I have to open a ticket for them to research and pay me. Sketchy company.

Great way to get rid of old CDs!!
I had 100+ old CDs that I wanted to get rid of. The Decluttr app was super easy to use. All I did was scan the barcodes on each CD and was given an estimate of my CDs. I was then provided a UPS shipping label and took my box of CDs to the nearest UPS store (a list was even provided to me!). Within a few days I had notification that the box had been received by Declutter and then a few days later, I had the fund deposited into my PayPal account. I highly recommend this app!

Be Prepared for Possible Scamming
I worked with Deculttr to sell some of my Legos. I sent over $60 of Legos and some other minor products, I sealed 4 different boxes each one containing both Legos and some Media and Tech items (Like CDs) and sent them off to Deculttr. I then received an email from Deculttr that they received the Media Tech Items, but not the Legos...even though they were in the same box... and I sent 4 different boxes... It would have been Absolutely Impossible for them to have received the tech items but not the Legos. In end the end they only sent me about $25 even though I sent them over $60 worth of product.
I recommend for anyone trying to make a couple bucks and aren't concerned about getting ripped off, then continue with Deculttr.
However, if you are someone with valuable items and don't want to be ripped off, then don't use Deculttr.
Overall,I am still thankful for working with this company, but I hope they stop scamming people and follow a more honest business model.

The scanning UI is glitchy
The scanning UI is glitchy. I use a barcode scanner with my laptop, as I found the app scan process even worse. If an item is not in the database the message of not found persists, even when a subsequent item is accepted and a quote given. The only way to tell is that the cummulative amount goes up. Otherwise service is good.

Bad Customer Service
I sent out two selling orders for money and only got paid for one. I tried asking them for an update and they told me they’ll get back to me within two days. It’s been four days and I messaged them back. Haven't gotten anything back. Their customer service is terrible. I just want an update on where my money is and they can’t even do that.

My first decluttr transaction.
I did my first transaction with decluttr as part of a DVD reduction process. Everything went well - exactly as advertised. Shipping was free, with a provided printable UPS label.
I was, however, surprised that 50+ accepted DVDs were only valued at $12.00. The minimum transaction is $10. That being said, they did save me from having to hold a yard sale and hope for buyers who wanted DVDs. I just didn’t expect that what were some expensive multi-disk DVDs were only valued at 15 cents. Plus I had a lot more DVDs they were not currently buying, so I still need to find a way to get those out of my home.
I do plan to continue to use decluttr, but will perhaps also try their electronics purchase side as well.
