Half my order has been sent. The second half was due 10 days ago but I've received no parcel or update as to what's happening with it

Good Morning Chris,

Thanks for the feedback.

We can see you placed an order at 10.53pm (UK time) on the 15th April.

We can see that you input a shipping address in the USA but specified the country as the UK.

We are a domestic UK dental supplier and do not export which is why you cannot select the USA as a delivery country at checkout.

You didn't select a valid UK delivery address and because of this the order was cancelled.

You were informed of this, including the reason, at 8.27am on the 16th April when our offices re-opened.

If we had a US operation then we would have been happy to accommodate you but we don't export and don't allow addresses in the USA to be specified at checkout for this reason.

You selected the country as the UK when you entered the address.

We aren't immediately sure why attempting to order from a UK domestic supplier from another country, specifying a UK delivery address that's actually in the US, and that UK supplier being unable to accommodate you is something that warrants a 1 star review.

Our offices are closed today but one of our team will reach out to you after the weekend in case there's anything we can do to clarify or assist you further.

I ordered some needle holders I needed…

I ordered some needle holders I needed for surgery. Website says available to order. Order never arrived and rang their line and told that order is out of stock!

Not a great experience at all!

I have taken a screenshot of the page in question which still shows available to order.

Thank you for reaching out and we're sorry that there's an unexpected wait on the product you needed.

As specified on our shipping advice page ( https://www.dentalsky.com/shipping-and-returns ) we operate a traffic light system for stock availability statuses as follows:

GREEN - IN STOCK - The item is in stock in our warehouse and will ordinarily be dispatched to you either on the same day or on the next working day for evening or weekend orders.

AMBER - AVAILABLE TO ORDER - The item is not currently physically in stock but it is on order with the manufacturer. We are expecting it soon so it is available for you to backorder - Generally this means delivery to customers within 5-10 working days although this can vary - Backordered items do not incur any additional shipping costs and will automatically be dispatched to you as soon as they arrive with us. You can call 0800 294 4700, email us on sales@dentalsky.com or use our website's live chat feature for more precise information on the expected date of delivery.

RED - OUT OF STOCK - The item is not currently physically in stock in our warehouse and the manufacturer has not confirmed a likely delivery date so we're not accepting orders for it at the moment.

As you correctly state, the stock status on this item was an amber/orange 'available to order' meaning it is available for you to order.

All items with this amber/orange 'available to order' status trigger a large notification box to pop-up at the cart stage before checkout stating the following:

"We don't have the full quantity you requested, but we'll back order the remaining 1 which will be sent as soon as we have it in stock - Usually within 5-10 working days."

We've just double checked this and that notification is running correctly, you are welcome to verify this yourself by adding the product and progressing to the cart stage where you will see that prominently displayed.

We can also see that an order confirmation email was sent to you at 11.06am on the day you placed your order stating:

"Please note, any items not in stock at the time you placed your order will be backordered and sent on to you as soon as we receive them, this is usually with 5-10 working days but timescales can vary.

If you would like to check on items on backorder or have any other questions about your order, you can email us at helpdesk@dentalsky.com."

Our offices are currently closed for the weekend but we'll listen back to your phone call tomorrow and one of our team will be in touch to update and see if there's anything we can do to improve your experience.

We are sorry that there seems to have been some confusion on delivery expectations, we do try to make this clear but that seems to have not worked as intended in this instance.

Will not reply to account deletion request

I have contacted the company three times asking how I delete my account and received no reply.
This is very concerning especially as our data is quite often sold to disreputable companies.

Update: details were registered. I did have an account which has now mysteriously disappeared. Why not tell me you have deleted it as requested instead of lying about it? I was able to log in yesterday and not today so there was obviously an account.
Weirdly deceitful.

We can see multiple contact forms/messages sent yesterday on Sunday 12th April when our offices are closed.

That would be the reason why you did not receive a reply on the same day - There is no one in the office to reply on a Sunday.

We have no record of anyone with your email address ever having placed an order with us.

We also never sell customer data under any circumstances and never have done.

Unable to receive package

Unable to receive package, due to working. Being unable to choose a alternative delivery option . No leave in safe place.
No leave at different address.
No leave with a neighbour.
Waste of time . Never again..

Good evening Michael,

Thank you for getting in touch and we're sorry to hear that you weren't able to be at the delivery address that you provided to us at checkout on the days we attempted delivery.

DPD send customers full tracking and delivery information confirming a 1 hour delivery window in advance, if this is not convenient you can respond to nominate another day.

At the checkout stage you can provide any delivery address that you want to, or on many items you can select delivery to a local pickup location allowing you to collect parcels from your local shops, post office etc.

99% of our business is in supplying medical devices to healthcare settings and as such we need fully tracked 'signed for' delivery.

Nevertheless we are sorry that the service did not meet your expectations.

We can see that DPD attempted delivery three times unsuccessfully and didn't receive any further instruction from you when contacting you to see if they could arrange a better time.

After the 2nd failed attempt one of our team emailed you the below:

"Good morning,
 
We have received a notification from DPD to advise that there have been two failed attempts to deliver your order over the last two days.
 
I have rescheduled this to be redelivered tomorrow 2nd April. Please note that if this delivery fails for a third time it will be returned to our warehouse and a credit will be issued to your account.
 
If there is an alternative address, you would like this sent to please let me know and I will amend it for you."

We can't immediately see a response to that email.

It does seem that we tried to deliver to the address you specified to us at checkout 3 times and we didn't receive any feedback from you on an alternative time or date or address when attempting to contact you.

We do appreciate that it's frustrating to miss a delivery so we're sorry about that.

Our offices are closed now but one of our team will attempt to get in touch with you again after the bank holiday weekend to see if there's anything we can do to improve your experience.
