Terrible scam - they made it appear they were the payment portal for a medical group I was trying to pay online. Criminal operation

Criminal operation. Found out they have been taking $5.99 per month since December 2025 from my account because my wife clicked the wrong setting on a payment for a one-time dental bill.

At first refused to refund more than one month. In the end refused to refund more than 4.

They claim to have 120,000 payers. How many of those people are unaware of being ripped off?

Hefty fees and lengthy payment delivery

Not only they charge hefty fees but it also takes 10 days to "deliver" a payment which has been immediately processed from my credit card. Are we back in the 90s??? Also they try to make you subscribe for more payments. If the only way to pay one of my bills online would not be through them (ridiculous but true), would never use this platform.

DOXO A Terrible company.

Terrible company.. DO NOT USE them. I paid a bill on 4-13-26. I then called because the company never received payment and was told it takes them 21 days to send a check.. I ended having to call my credit union and have spent hours on the phone with hospital. What a headache and it is still not settled. Tell everyone you know DO NOT USE DOXO. They are a 3rd party payer! Plus they have the nerve to charge $4.95 to take the payment. I am contacting The Better Business Bureau today.

We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand how concerning it can be when a payment has not yet been posted to your account.

More than 70% of doxo payments are delivered electronically. In this case, the biller does not participate in electronic payment delivery, so payment was sent by check through USPS. Payment delivery dates are always displayed before a payment is submitted and include normal processing and delivery time.

To clarify, the 21-day timeframe referenced by the biller was their estimated processing time after receiving the payment, not the amount of time required for doxo to deliver it.

Our records show the payment was delivered on 4/22/26, and the check was cashed on 4/24/26. When you contacted User Support, doxo facilitated a three-way call with the biller and requested payment research. We will continue to follow up with the biller for updates and work with you to help ensure the payment is properly credited to your account.

One star is to kind for this absolutely…

One star is to kind for this absolutely terrible company. Unfortunately we have to go through them each month to pay our electric bill. Every month is something else. Today the site repeatedly stated i used the wrong account number. Fortunately i was able to log in and pay as guest with the SAME account number and no issues. If my electric company continues to use doxo i will use the mail. This is totally Unacceptable

This must be the worst payment service…

This must be the worst payment service ever opened. You pay a fee to pay your bills, even if you use a checking account. They take the money from your account, but don't send the money to the electric company, gas company, etc. for 6-12 days. You honestly could pay your bill on time and end up with late fees or even disconnection. I will never use them again. It would be faster, cheaper, and more efficient to write an old fashioned check and send it snail mail.

Do not use this company. They make it almost impossible to cancel your autopay and still continued to take my money even after i cancelled. I asked them to return my money and they refused

Autopay can be canceled at any time through a user’s doxo account or by contacting our User Support team for assistance. Our records show monthly payments had been successfully processed since 2023. When our Support team was contacted on April 30, 2026, the autopay was canceled as requested.

Should be zero stars. I paid my overdue taxes back in December. Three months later I get another notice for my overdue taxes. I got ripped off for nearly $500. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. TOTAL RIPP OFF! Now I have to fight to get my money back.

I never uses the service but found out…

I never uses the service but found out today the company was charging $5.99 because I contacted them to start a service. There are more direct means to pay my gas utility bill that don't cost any out of pocket fees. I found their charges yesterday, called today and the best I could do was get 4 months returned to my account. Twenty five dollars back beats the $60.00 lost.

You will no longer be charged for this service, and you will continue to have access to the benefits until April 28th, 2026.

Danger Will Robinson, this is a "Push" add to intercept your direct payment to the County Tax Assesors office.
The doxo requires bank info and personal info and they are not part of the place they offered to channel your payment to.
I searched in Google, "Pay my Kern County Property Tax"
This doxo was the result with an official County Tax collector title posing as the County Tax Collector. A pop up asked for info.......

Scam-Monthly Fee Charged After Bill Paid In Full

I have been being charged $6.35 a month for months now after paying a lab bill once that this company is linked to on my medical lab website.

I was only able to figure out who they were by looking at the phone number in my charge.

They are not free. When I logged in after figuring out who they were, I could see that I hadn't toggled for any more than one time free payment of a medical bill.

Mail your bills in.

This is a scam making money from Americans when we don't have adequate medical care and insurance is making millions.
