DS3 Crossback e-tense Electric
DS3 Crossback e-tense Electric. Bad car in winter, it loses 50% energy if you drive ECO. approximately 150 km. Promised 318 km. The car has many problems and the converter has been changed, the car was 1 year and 6 months old. Hoses and pipes for cooling under the car have been changed 3 weeks to find the fault, big bill, no warranty. Several times the car stops and has to be driven to a workshop without them being able to find a fault.
Worst car experience ever
Worst car experience ever. Owner of an almost 10yr old car with 60,000 miles. First owner and bought at the dealership. Every year the car had it's service at the official dealership. For it's 10th year service I brought the car to another garage for its yearly service. What came to conclusion? The engine was completely busted.
Any service from DS Automobiles? 0. The car is fitted with the 1.2 PureTech engine. Evidently the 1.2 PureTech motor is a nightmare engine with known manufacturer issues. Nonetheless as customer you receive 0 service and 0 compensation. The customer support even said that once the car hit the age of 2 all accountebility on their end had ended.
Very poor customer service
Very poor customer service. Wondering why they are still in the business!
Utterly shambolic customer care
Utterly shambolic customer care provided for warranty repair work. 1 month in and still without a means of transport: no courtesy car has been provided despite their promises (and T&Cs). I’m now paying for a car that I can’t drive, with no resolution in sight. Do not buy one; this experience has been truly horrific.
Customer service
Purchased my DS7 in December 2020 probably the worst day of my life
It has been a total nightmare unreliable no dealership network and the customer service is non existent this vehicle and manufacturer should be taken on by the unfortunate people lured in to purchasing these cars.no one connected with the repair and maintenance of these vehicles seems to know what they are doing.
Please please please DO NOT BUY A DS AUTOMOBILE It will ruin your life
Utterly useless
Utterly useless. Twice I have reported an issue to DS Customer ‘Assistance’(🤣), and have been given case reference numbers. Subsequently there has been no call back or update. Upon contacting them I’ve been told there is no trace of the case reference numbers on the system and attempts to locate my calls on their system have failed to find any trace. Caught in a circle of utter nonsense in trying to deal with this outfit. Oh….and I’ve been unable to lodge a complaint about this.
Our Robins and Day DS Chiswick…
Our Robins and Day DS Chiswick Experience
We had recall work to do. Not once but two times. The first was around last year February 2022, when they took our car for nearly six weeks just to change the rims and wheels. We had to beg for a loan car, after 2 weeks they finally found out something through Enterprise who did not want to give us the car until I would give them my own insurance company policy. If you have a rental car, the insurance comes with it, not from the customer who rents is. We got a Honda CHR that smelled like a cigar inside.
For the recall and warranty work, we choose to do this at Robins and Day, Chiswick, London since Evans and Halshaw, York is a bit far from us right now for doing this.
We have booked it in several times with Robins and Day, Chiswick, and every time they take in the vehicle they do nothing about our problems that stand out. They don’t tell us anything, just leave us in the dark about it.
We have contacted DS Customers service many, many times and we don’t get any further there either. They tell us they contacted the dealer but do not tell us what needs to be ordered or repaired, besides a rear axle. There is more though. The passenger seatbelt cannot be used at the moment.
We told Robins and Day about it, but they did nothing about it. Just gave us the vehicle back as it is. We cannot take any front seat passengers because of this and my wife is forced to sit in the back like this.
Several other issues are going on as well with the app, the tire pressure valves not working or reporting anything. We cannot drive in fully electric since the last recall of HWK repairs.
It tells us that Engine Combustion Started, Fuel too old. When we try to talk to the director or any person that works at Robins and Day, they have constant excuses and diversions, and suddenly are not available to talk to us while we were around there for 2 hours looking at the models by ourselves.
When we give in the car they take it in for a week once and after for another four days and do nothing about the problems. This happened in December and in January.
This is an ongoing issue and problem with this dealer. We could not use Peugeot Edgware because they are no longer a DS salon or store. Crayford is on the other side of London and hard to come back to our home when not having a vehicle to use.
Crawly is too far away for us now, York is too far also for us. If in case we need a car to travel with and they can’t offer one. They just don’t want to give us.
This is very unprofessional and also not nice to be treated like this after being a customer of Citroen/DS for over 20 years. We were never happy with Citroen London West, so we moved to Citroen Farnham, who treated us very, very well, and never had any issues with them. But they could not service DS or Repair things if there was anything.
In the meantime, we were trying to look on the DS App only to find out it was disconnected regularly for no reason, journeys have disappeared and we cannot use it to plan a journey anywhere. We have been in contact with DS software development and exchanged 53 emails now and going around just in circles and no solution.
They absolutely don't care about it, then besides giving the car a wash as a courtesy. The last time it was not even washed properly at all the rims were still very dirty and full of dust.
The director is all the time not available, Mr. Chris Walken or the director of the Service team. Not even a phone call by saying something that need to be ordered or finally fixed. Does that take a year ? While they know we have been there. When you want to approach them, they get haywire because they are on the phone and talking to someone else on their mobile phone. Saying, I AM ON THE PHONE! Yes, we can see that, but the normal way of doing is, "Just a moment, I will be right with you and give at least a smile". No matter how much you are under pressure or going bankrupt. Because that is how it feels like. This problem is not ours. Go fight with the Government about it. Not Customers.
Why this way ? The few customers they might have left they just make them go away and leave them in limbo.
I am sure they don't care about this review either or the one that is now at Motoring Ombudsman, or the Trading Standards, Or at Free2Move at Mr. Mark Blundell who used to be the director of DS before. Or Mr. Stephan Le Guevel Director General of DS. Hence Mr. Le Guevel went to Vauxhall and Opel instead. I would not blame him for that because if the inside temperature is not pleasant within DS. Nobody wants to work there.
And if it looks like they are selling so many DS's all the time that you have to make an appointment when you are sitting there for 2 hours just waiting about something and take your time for 2 hours to just let someone have a test drive and information. Then why continue doing business with anyone then, just stop close your doors then and go fishing instead.
Not happy with service …
I asked the sales advisor if there was any additional costs as the monthly amount was tight on my budget, he confirmed I would just have a further amount to put down to make my deposit to what we agreed, nothing more. He also said the car would be ready at 2pm (I was travelling down over 3 hours so I double checked this time with him a couple of times). Then on arrival it was not ready, he was not available so i had to deal with someone else who hit me with an additional cost of almost £200 extra needed, to which I had not been advised of or warned about, this resulted in a further £15 per month despite me asking and being told no additions, I was also told I could get free MOT’s all year round but only by that specific dealer which is 3 hours away so not worth it (this was not brought to my attention at point of sale, nor was a lot of other information) then over an hour late the car was ready, to which I did not get to test drive, was handed the keys shown a few buttons from outside of the vehicle and left to my own device to drive away.
Have had a VERY positive experience so…
Have had a VERY positive experience so far. At very short notice DS Canterbury did full PDI on my new DS 4 and where very accommodating while I spent time at their dealership.
Had a phone call yesterday to say that they'd found a jacket in the rear of the car that I'd PX'd and they are sending it by post.
Very good service I'd say
Dreadful service.
Dreadful service.
Electric DS3 broke down. Rang DS Assistance (DSA) on their 24 hour helpline. Utter shambles. Zero communication between them and the DS dealers for booking in repairs (they won't arrange repair for you and expect you to ring around to find a dealer to accept repair job whilst poor RAC recovery chap just sits there waiting...).
For an encore DSA say hire car will only be provided for 4 days - despite DSA T&Cs clearly stating that a hire car will be provided until your car is fixed. Customer Care reps can't help and just promise call backs that don't come.
Shame. Car was ok before it just stopped working...

Had a recall on ds9 22 plate took to robins day liecester fuel cap nothing done went again for 1030 appointment sat for 3 hours asked for keys back no question.why I had not been seen they then picked my car up after I done 200 miles there and back came in a car took mine away but the car they left I was not allowed to use they rang same day cant bring car back the lady didn't want to get caught in rush hour she said I bring tomorrow as I got other jobs to do I bring at 1pm then got text be there for 10 am.i said glad you early she said well I didn't want to be late I disabled it was all a out her customer care never mentioned me me me shame on robins day liecester ps I now got car that dosent need a service for another year but it 6 months old wouldn't even change oil
Bought a new DS4 in June 2022 and it…
Bought a new DS4 in June 2022 and it broke down after 50 miles, Police pull me over for no number plates lights, the wiring loom was not connected to the rear bumper, big hole in the rear carpet cleverly hidden by the mat. Reversing camera stayed on even when you were going forward and to crown it all when Wesley the DS customer care manager told me to reject the car and bring it back to the dealer it broke down on the M1. Wesley customer care will promise you the earth but I ended up walking as he was no help in getting me a replacement car. Do not fool yourself DS is just Citreon. Customer care should hold their heads in shame leaving a 65-year-old man with no car for three months. One star is too much and should be 0 stars.
I noticed two places under the wingmirrors
I noticed two places under the wing mirror where the paint had gone down to the metal! As I work in the car industry I asked a colleague to look into spraying it for me. When he investigated he discovered that all citreons have a 12 year warranty against corrosion and so suggested it may be worth contacting Citreon. Thats when the fun began. They asked for photos which I provided. I was then told the car was just out of warranty at six years old so we needed to open a case! I have a case number which I gave to the relevant people. They then asked for proof of a full service history. I sent over everything I have to receive a generic letter saying they were not clear enough. I resized and sent again same generic letter. Then again but added a message that I am getting very frustrated as the book is fully stamped and I have sent that but it is slightly smudged so not so clear. Again the same generic letter asking for proof. I then resent a message asking what can I do as the page is smudged so can't make it any clearer. Same generic letter no answer no email nothing. I have rung numerous times and am just about getting to the end of my tether. DO NOT BUY A DS!
Car ended up with more damage
Do you want to pay more than the quote, to have your car with more damage than before and you have to pay yourself? Then go to them.
I was searching for my car Full Service on the website back early July, 2022. This garage, DS & Son Ltd at Unit 1, Brixham road, Stretford, Manchester came on the top of the search, it quoted at £120 for the full service. When I called them, they said the £120 was only for 3 oils filling. If I want more service as I normally got from other places, it's over £170. I agreed the full service and repair my back bumper, which the manager Damine quoted at £490, and has to be Cash only.
I dropped the car on the 7th July, booked in for both service and replacement of the back bumper.
When we dropped the car, Damien took all the photos of the car condition. He took the photo of the front of the car, and right-hand door, where he noticed a little mark, and stopped us to highlight it. Whilst He didn't mention a word of any problem of the front of the car, where he has had a proper look and took the photos, too.
Please find below the photos Damine had taken, the conditions of the car before the repair, and where he highlighted the scratch on the right car door
.
When we collected the car on the 14th July, I noticed there was a hole at the front of the car, where the towing point should be. One of their engineers insisted it was like that before they got the car, while Damine made a quick call and realised it was themself took the cover off for the matching paint of the car. He agreed to drop the cover the next day, we didn't get it till a week later after chasing a few times. When his son turned up and put the cover back on the Towing point, I noticed there was a bad scratch next to the cover, along with a broken glass directly underneath this cover. So I showed to him, straigt-away he said he was busy with other jobs. Therefore I called the manager Damine, and he denied it straightaway, and put the phone down on me without even attempting to find out more about it.
Meanwhile his son reversed his van quickly and drove away without any attempt to solve this problem.
Please find below photos of the car after I collected from this garage(one without the cover of the towing point, one with), and the manager, Damine's son trying to reverse his van quickly and drove away when I raised to him that there were broken parts next to the cover and underneath of the cover, clearly it happened when their engineer was trying to remove the cover of the towing point to get the matching colour of my car, to be able to paint my back bumper.
.
So above is what my car looks like now, after spent £490 in cash at this garage.
We had made numerous phone calls trying to resolve the issue, Damine agreed finally to pay £50 for the damage, and insisted me to put down in writing that after £50 paid, they will not have any responsibility towards the car, which I did. However, another few weeks on, they had done nothing as they promised, I had never received this £50. Should you require the evidence of these conversations, I am happy to provide in the following email.
The service we had received from this DS Autos and Sons was shocking, along with their attitude towards any customer complaints. We do hope that by letting people know with different channels about our dreadful and stressful experience, less people will be tracked in it, and the standard of this industry will be much improved and regulated.
Overall, we have no issue that things happened during the service of the car, it's whether they have a procedure or management , especially the intention to solve the issue. In this case, since the issue happened, the manage Damine didn't even once to try to properly check the car to do further investigation.
Once both parties agreed the term, on this occasion, the garage agreed to pay £50 towards the damage, it's supposed to be fulfilled. But DS Autos and Sons had failed to accomplished it what they had promised.
We expect to send the car to garages fixing the car, not to have more damages when we get the car back. Its very clear from those photos after we had the car back, the kind of damage shouldn't have happened at any professional garage in this country. Is it because of negligence or carelessness?
We had no issue to pay more for the right and quality service, don't mind paying Cash as they requested, as long as the service is high standard.
Robin & day DS Chiswick Avoid like the plague
Robin & day DS Chiswick Avoid like the plague,
Customer service is non existent to the extent the staff just look at you and laugh,
£52k on a ds7 and they couldn't careless about helping us get warranty work fixed,
It's a shame as I like the car, but I would never ever get another DS Again, we have had BMW's in the past and customer service has always been good, and jaguar were really good too,
I bought the DS7 from Robins & Day…
I bought the DS7 from Robins & Day Edgware and promised to have a good after service
The car has 20,000 miles on the clock and it has been 3 times in the garage for faults: air condition, suspension and cruise control
I am asked to deliver the car to Chiswick which take me over 2 hours of journey
Having delivered the car for a cruise control fault and being charged £324.00 I soon (10 minutes after getting the car) realised that the fault was not repaired. I am now asked to bring it back. Shame on such service and professionalism
In summary Robins & Day unlike Renault (my wife's car) are interested to sell you a car and give you bad service
Having paid over £45,000.00 for the car at the least they could d offer to pick the car from home .

I had a brand new ds electric car in October last year have had nothing but problems with it has been in the garage six months ds customer care have been absolutely rubbish no contact with me never returning calls or emails no courtesy car most of time had a nee born baby and just added to my stress do not buy from this company
I cannot praise DS enough for the…
I cannot praise DS enough for the service I have received from them recently. In December 2020 I purchased a 2015 plate DS3 Dsport blue hdi with 22k on the clock from a private garage in Oldham. Upon giving the car its first wash, I noticed some rust directly under the wing mirrors. Obviously gutted as I'd just paid out 7,500 for the car. My dealer suggested that I got in touch with DS as apparently this corrosion under the wing mirrors is a known issue with the DS3. They accepted my claim straight away and arranged for my vehicle to be taken to Robins & Day in Manchester. They even fixed a minor scuff on my rear bumper for free. I am really happy with my DS3, it drives absolutely superb and has a high end feel to it.
Thank you to Quasim and Chloe at your customer service centre for all your help.
DS customer failure to act upon a serious complaint
This team is completely useless as they fail to run regular audits of the customer reviews based on quality provided by their authorised car service dealers.
I brought to the attention of this team that several authorised service car dealers failed to assess and replace the air conditioning filters as per the invoice and therefore charged me for a job that has never been undertaken.
During Covid-19 restrictions it was clearly mentioned to regularly check the air conditioning filters as part of the necessary precautions aimed at preventing further spread of this disease.
My car was assessed and regularly serviced by three different authorised DS car dealers over the last two years and no one ever carried out this aforementioned job as per plan.
During my telephone conversation I stressed out the point that a lack of skills and competence with a breach of basic public health policies was clearly evident and further action was required to re-establish some confidence with a loyal customer.
They acknowledged my problem and opened a new case but within hours they replied that they can not proceed to any specific review of the case as they don’t have access to the each single service car dealership’s job charts of my vehicle as they are destroyed and no longer available after six months from the release.
Such a terrible experience after reporting a very serious issue…

Had the DS7 E-tense for one awful year of driving. What an absolutely terrible experience. Car itself is badly designed, has broken down 4 times, just recalled for new wheels and tyres ( some weird reason that its unstable but this was never resolved in proto phase) ... just a dreadful car maker with zero customer service.
