A Terrible Service!
A terrible service!! Ordered a $224 book on the 6 March and to date, I have NO notification of dispatch and NO tracking information. Who sends $224 book untracked? And of course, I have no book. To add insult to injury, Easton Press Books took a second payment of $180 from my account a week later with NO authorisation or pre-notification! So a total of $404! they ignored my Facebook messages and emails for a refund of the second unauthorised debit, claiming they didn't actually take the funds.
What a bunch of cowboys! But something must be wrong here. How can any business operate like this. I ordered books from Easton Press Books 25 years ago and had no problems at all. But now.....
Their books are lovely if a little over priced and I so wish I had received the book I wanted for so long. But, be VERY careful when ordering from Easton Press Books - 'Caveat emptor' - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Incredibly overpriced for the quality, shipping and customer service
I ordered a book that arrived damaged. The company was initially quick to respond and then stopped communication for over a week despite me reaching out multiple times. I made it clear early this week that due to the already slow shipping speed, it was now under a time crunch. They finally responded to an email today where I stated I went ahead and gifted the damaged copy as originally intended since there was no longer time to replace it and would be sharing my experience to warn others. Now they are trying to have me send back the damaged copy that I already told them I no longer have so they can send me a new one that I no longer have use for. They also tried to tell me I only “called” them once on the 27th. I exclusively emailed them and my correspondence is fully documented. At this price point, taking weeks to send out a mass produced item without quality control is completely unacceptable. Do better.

Bait and switch. You'll never get my business. Offer "75% off your order" when I spin the wheel. Sign up with email and text for this. Then they send you a link, where the only thing thats "75% off" is 'To Kill a Mockingbird". I don't want that book. Predatory, dishonest, and overpriced products.

Problem resolved
We initially had a problem returning a book and getting the order resolved. We were contacted by a Supervisor who was wonderful and resolved any problems. The order seems to be back on track. Great quality.
What a horrible company
What a horrible company. After 3 weeks of my order being "pending" with my bank I had to call customer service. They must be horribly understaffed because the amount of attitude I got for having the audacity to call them and ask where my order was next level. They told me the order was canceled from my bank, there was no order,l and that the order had shipped all in the same 1 minute. I called my bank who told me the order had been pending and was good to go the day I made the order. After calling them back and telling them the order didn't go through because they never processed the order the customer service rep got super agitated saying "that's not how it works" but by some miracle after I asked her to process the order, it went through with no issues. She could not understand how the fault obviously was in their end. At no point did anyone ever say something even remotely close to "sorry about that", apparently it's my issue for making the order then several weeks later asking why it wasn't ever processed. Horrible to deal with, what a bush league company.
Rude and umprofessional
The books are high quality but the customer service is horrible. The employees are rude, unhelpful and do not give the correct information on shipping. I have waited for gilgamesh since December 5th, called twice, dealt with uncaring, hostile customer service reps who told me the book is on the way, there is no problem with the payment. It is now two days before Christmas, no book and I have been on the customer service line (again!) for a 20 minutes.
Great quality of books, very poor customer service.
Great quality of books. Problem is, everytime we have placed an order, two seperate authorizations show up in our account (double charge) that ties up funds that we otherwise needed for something else. When I called them, they were very rude, and when I tried to cancel the order, the supervisor (in a very sleazy way) said, "buh-bye," and hung up on me. Even my bank (USAA) said that it seemed very "scammy." We put a STOP PAYMENT on their company. If they keep it up, that company will go bankrupt. Will not order direct EVER again. If I want an Easton Press book, I'll find it on EBAY at a cheaper cost.
I have had a very good experience…
I have had a very good experience buying from Easton Press. I ordered several books and within 12 calendar days they were at my doorstep. This was the free shipping mind you. The books are beautiful and I love them. I have already purchased some more for my library. I even called Customer Service to ask a couple of questions and the woman on the phone was very pleasant. In my opinion, if you want great quality books, they are a good resource.

Easton fails again and again
I was genuinely impressed with the quality of the books from Easton Press they’re beautifully crafted. However, their customer service and billing system are deeply frustrating. I’ve been double-charged for the same book multiple times and had to wait up to 20 days for shipping, simply because I didn’t have enough funds in my account to cover their unusual pre-authorization process, which involves charging twice and later refunding one transaction.
Recently, I ordered a $500 book set and called to inform them I didn’t have an additional $500 for their pre-authorization charge. After waiting about 10 days my money bounced back because I did not have the extra 500$ for their preauthorization so I canceled the order on their website and received a confirmation email. Despite this, 12 days later, the books arrived at my door, and they continued attempting to charge my account, which failed due to insufficient funds. When I contacted customer service, the representative was rude, didn’t greet me, didn't acknowledge their error, or apologize, and instead demanded I return the books. I explained it wasn’t my mistake, but she remained unprofessional and dismissive. This experience has left me extremely disappointed, and I will not be purchasing from Easton Press again.

Fixed the problem
I ordered a signed copy of a book and spent a lot of money. For them to no send it and that is legit what the woman on the phone said. It was never sent, but don't worry we will send it. They won't email me back or return my calls. Big scam company. The book did eventually arrive. However I don't like how little, response I got. The book is just what I ordered though.

Gift Came With Collection Notices—Then They Lied and Blamed Me Privacy Violations, Smug Denials, and Collection Threats—Avoid
One star. If I could rate lower, I would.
I purchased a book from Easton Press as a gift and was paying in installments. They acknowledged in writing that I was the purchaser and had already made multiple payments. After I lost my debit card, I forgot to call back with updated payment info.
Rather than contacting me—the customer of record—they sent billing statements and threatening collection notices to the gift recipient, who had nothing to do with the order. My financial information was disclosed to her not once, but twice. That is an appalling violation of privacy and basic professionalism.
When I raised the issue, their representative Jill was rude, condescending, and dismissive. She ignored documentation that contradicted their version of events and blatantly misrepresented internal records. The tone and behavior were, frankly, gaslighting.
Easton Press is affiliated with the Stanley Family Foundation, which promotes mental health awareness. The irony is striking, given how emotionally harmful and manipulative their customer service practices have been.
I will never purchase from this company again, and I strongly advise others to stay away.

Ordered a book July 16
Ordered a book July 16, 2025, and after "checkout" the computer told me the book would ship in September. I immediately tried to cancel the order and all I can say is that their website is WORTHLESS!

Avoid!!! - HIGH Prices, No Customer Service
1. Markups of around 1300 percent for the book I ordered to have the privilege of leather binding.
2. Orders sit 5-7 business days before shipping
3. Emails to customer service take 2-3 days to get a response.
4. while you can cancel your order online as I have you have to dispute the charge with your CC company because these people may or may not even refund your money let along get back to you.
Feels like one person runs this company from a basement who is 90 years old and working part time running this what feels like PRINT to ORDER company.
The experience is HORIABLE, with INSAINE markups, while being forced to wait for an ETERNITY for any action on any task this company does.

I received my refund shortly after filing the dispute with PayPal and sharing with them the case number. I did receive a refund.
Amazing company
Amazing company. Fast shipping and great response time. Book quality is excellent and beautiful. They have an amazing selection, great for any book collector. Customer service is above 5 stars. Highly recommend.
Incompetent and Rude.
I ordered a book, they charged me twice so I decided to cancel it all together. They charged me again about a week later and wouldn't refund me until I sent back the book. They could not give me a tracking number however, so I accused them of theft (which it is). After a few more email they eventually refunded me. They never even sent the book. They are an incompetent company at the very least. Avoid.

VERY VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I ordered a subscription book collection, but decided to only get the first book so I called to cancel the reoccurring future books. However, I STILL got charged and was forced to return the second book. Moreover, when I called a SECOND TIME to cancel future shipments, I received an email saying I was charged for a third, much more expensive book. I called (a third time) to ask what was going on, and while the customer service promised that the charge was only pending and would be dropped by my bank after cancellation, her attitude was EXTREMELY RUDE. She got angry at me for calling so many times, even though the fault was clearly on their end for not upholding my wishes properly in the first place!! I am not sure who this lady is, but looking at other negative reviews, I assume it is the same person other people have issues with. Very shady company and will never recommend again to my social circle.

They put a double hold on my card tying up funds that I need (twice the cost of my purchase). When I called them they said that banks/ card companies automatically release the funds after 2 days which they don't do,, when I called the bank they said that the merchant is supposed to release the hold (i.e. most car rental places have a hold on the card until you return the car then they release the hold).
