eBay doesn't even deserve one star. They are dishonest and allow corruption to run rampid in their company. I called "customer service"because I needed help with a refund. Instead I got scammed out of $400.00. I'm a disabled senior. Who trusted them. My accounts were all hacked my phone was wiped out. This is half a months income for me. I recontacted customer being promised help. And was told to wait an hour for them to do reaserch and was then guaranteed a call back. No call back. Instead my phone completely shut down. It had to be wiped clean. I lost all my photos of my kids grandkid dogs etc. As well as apps and contacts. I see many drs and lost all their contacts as wall as family friends etc. My health is not good. I'm sorry but they have made my life a living hell. And they don't care. They prey on disabled and seniors we are treated like animals not human beings. Sham on you eBay for letting greed be your #1priority. I've saved for a year to visit grandchildren I've never seen. Thank you eBay for distroying that. My life has been turned upside down thanks to eBay. And I have recently heard many other horror stories attached to eBay. How dare you

not happy with ebay have to pay sale taxs on auction you won

ebay sucks i won the auction and i have to pay sales tax and i dont want the item i,m trying to cancel it .my computer did the misstackits not my faultebay is not like it uto be plus i uto call a rep atthe toll free number for help .not no more is done buy email or chat ..it sem they are thating me it dummi,m not buying the item .plus i remember i buy item out of my state and did pay sale taxon ebay thank to our goverment.

eBay made me homeless me and my 3 little kids and they not help me to sell my handmade items

Yes and I was trying to contact the eBay support to help me out to remove suspended from my account but no hope, because I used to have a store in my country Morocco, where I sell my handmade items and I close it because of the Corona Virus, and now I want to sell these handmade products on eBay, and here now I just really want everyone to know how this company not have mercy to help a person like me he have 3 little kids and wife want just to help hes family and selling handmade items, Now I pray to God to send Karma to all eBay employed that not have any mercy.

Don't deserve even one star

Absolutely disgusted by ebay customer service agents reply.
Over 10 different agents replied my one return issues. Ans yet no one can really spend the time and solve the problem.
I returned a pair of Jimmy choo shoes, I apis by bank card.
At the beginning several ebay agents told me that my refund is on the way back to my original payment. Told me a several times to wait for the money to transfer to my bank. The seller told me ebay has deducted the money from her bank account.
After one month another agent send me an email saying that need the PayPal account for the " camera case " to be refunded.
What camera case ???
Why need PayPal account After a month?
Again, no apologies for the mistakes ans no explanations as always.
I told him that I paid by bank transfer, another new agent told me to check with my bank, its not ebay responsibility any more. Basically ebay kept the money.
I want to escalate this case to ombudsman because I knew there are people out there just like me mistreated by ebay custom service agents. I have kept all the evidence emails,if you have the similar situation, please escalate ans protect our customers rights.

I won't buy from EBay or liquiddvds…

I won't buy from EBay or liquiddvds ever again. Because of their shady ways I'm out $281.97. I got apparently scammed by them. I am 70 yrs old, I am handicapped and I have had Cancer twice and I can't afford to be out that money. I tried for over 6 months to be reimbursed and the only thing I got from them was bounced around. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

Don’t take the risk: shop at Amazon, Walmart, or similar instead

A place full of scammers run by a company that is complacent with scams and doesn’t care about their customers.
I had two experiences with eBay: first I sold a laptop that was in perfect conditions. Buyer received laptop said it was great and in 15 claimed that the battery was damaged is demanded a return. As a seller, eBay doesn’t give you any opportunity to justify or prove that the buyer is acting in bad faith. Result, I had to pay for shipping costs, received a laptop that was damaged and didn’t have refund or support from eBay.

Second experience was as a buyer. I bought a battery to replaced the damaged battery of the laptop. The day that I was supposed to receive the battery I receive an email from eBay that my account was suspended. What?? No reasons for the suspension or clarifications. I contacted eBay and explained my situation. Their reply:
“In regards to your purchase I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your item. As your account is currently suspended, it no longer qualifies for eBay Buyer Protection but you're free to seek other paths outside of eBay to contact the seller or get your refund.
As we have made our final decision, no further action will be taken on your account and any future messages we receive regarding this suspension will be read, but may not receive a reply.”

This is unacceptable. Bottom line, don’t take the risk shopping at eBay. You will probably find a similar product on Amazon and, even if it’s more expensive, it’s worth the additional price.

A BIG SINKING SHIP! They Treat their Sellers Horribly! Once upon a time, they were great but they became greedy losing out to Amazon. They now have MANAGED PAYMENTS AND NO PAYPAL...ANY ISSUES AND ALL YOUR PAYMENTS ARE ON HOLD! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR...GO TO AMAZON, THEY HAVE GREAT AND CARING SELLERS BUT EVEN THEY ARE JUMPING SHIP. I WATCHED THEM FALL, THE DEEPER THE LOSSES THE MORE THEY TOOK FROM THE VERY PEOPLE THAT BUILD THEM, THEIR SELLERS! BUYER BEWARE! AVOID AT ALL COST!

ebay and it's customer service are…

ebay and it's customer service are misleading in conversation. They can see all correspondence between buyer and seller because they review them for approved content.
I recently shipped a bike via bike flights because ebays shipping is clunky they could see all correspondence with the buyer and I have a 100% approval, yet they are holding my funds till Dec 7 ,2020. I provided the buyer with all shipping receipts and tracking numbers, UPS drop receipts, and pics of the box. The buyer received the bike in excellent condition last Friday 11/20/2020, yet ebay continues to hold my funds... Imagine the interest they are making on all the funds they are holding..

Ebay stole my new merchandise. I sold brand new box. Buyer took merchandise and returned empty box. Ebay refunded buyers money. No recourse whatsoever. I lost $7000. NEVER SELL ON EBAY.

I am a seller trying to solve a problem for more then one month now, I always worked hard to be a Top Seller and because a bug in the system there is no one at customer service able to solve the problem.. Just terrible.. If you are thinking of sale, I suggest you to search another place

Could be a lot better

eBay is a good place to shop. It's like all places some good sellers some bad sellers. I Don't think they should actually receive money directly as soon as you pay. eBay should hold the money until the item is shipped. Then that brings in a problem too. Some sellers will Mark items shipped knowing full well they haven't shipped anything on a Sunday at 7:00 pm. You can send items back if it's not what you wanted. However the customer isn't given that same trust as sellers. Your refund is given when the seller receives the item back. I've had a few bad experiences with some sellers. One got mad and kept calling me etc bc I left a neg feedback. I don't think these ppl should have your personal info. I have also received threats from sellers. Yes I reported them to Ebay. I Don't think anything was actually done. Anyone can sell on that site. For safety reasons, I feel eBay should be in possession of all items that are being sold. I've had a seller send me a plastic container with a metal pipe type thing in it. I ordered a big thing of hair conditioner. I had to call the cops not knowing what the strange device was. The cops stated they do things like that to add weight to make it seem as if they are sending you the real item. They will also remove bad reviews from a sellers profile if asked to. I like ebay but they need to change a few things. If you leave a neg review that they don't like it will not get posted.The customers shouldn't be censored, not when your spending money keeping this company going.

In my opinion based on my own personal experience, Ebay needs a big checkup and adjustment with the way they do business with us, the customers! They need to become more moral and they need to treat their customers with more respect. They need to weed out the thieves that use their service. Currently, Ebay hides behind their 30 day return policy to not address thieves. Instead of protecting their customers, they protect sellers that are thieves! I wrote their CEO about my concerns. After much discourse, they finally gave me my money back. BUT they only let me (and all of you) put a short, 1 line comment about how Seller Treated me!!! This is preposterous! That means really bad and totally unacceptable. Ebay CEO refused to change their policy to allow a large comment!!

Ebay Kangaroo Court!

I only left one star because I have to leave something. This company is HORRIBLE. I had been selling on Ebay long enough for them to rate me as one of their better sellers. However. when a buyer made a bogus complaint to return an item (they simply didn't want it afterall) Ebay sided with them without either asking me my side of the story, or providing me with a forum to contact them, and they tired to make me pay all of the fees. Absolutely no support for the sellers, who are their source of income. Absolutely horrible experience!
