I'd rather watch the entirety of Velma than finish a semester of this garbage

The written answers were usually marked as wrong because it wasn't exactly how they wanted it to be, from other reviews here it's because of the terrible ai they use.

The lectures are boring and you often have to rewatch them because the material is so poorly taught. And the questions after is something they didn't teach at all.

The material is so crammed that it's super easy to get behind and it's difficult to learn weeks worth of lessons in a three hour sitting. It makes it so stressful to even try with this.

Anyways I hate this site, please don't use it if you have a choice.

I took a course through edgenuity for 1 semester over the summer, and the experience is terrible. First, lets talk about the source of learning, the videos. The people in the videos just read stuff off the screen, which really anyone could do. But, even while they to that, they often stutter LOTS of times, which makes it hard to understand what they are saying. Also, the videos are so old, Im estimating they are at most from the year 2012. Next, lets talk about the quality of edgenuity, which is terrible as well. On many assignments, they will ask you to read an article and answer some following questions. Im pretty sure they use word spelling to check the answers, very similar to edpuzzle. So, with this information taken into account, let me tell you the biggest reason I hate this organization. It doesnt list all of the answers that are correct, so if you type something that they dont include in their word bank, you wont get it right. This also applys to the spelling of the word. This can drop your grade drastically. Finally, the most annoying thing in this website is the glitches. For example, you must sometimes rewatch a video for some reason, and it will stop you from moving on. Also, it says that you must have 1 browser of this website open at all times, but it is so delayed that it takes so long for it to see that the browser has been previously closed.

This ciriculum drove me to insanity. Its to hard and WAY to long and Time4Learning is ENCORPERATING IT INTO THEIR CIRICULUM!

Terrible teaching and gives you no help at all. Any school that uses this terrible website should be fined.

The videos are boring, as someone who might have a learning disability, or just straight up doesn't learn in this way of "Video, assignment, video, quiz, repeat" Not to mention how you need to stay on top of it 99% of the time you have to yourself or you WILL get behind. There are multiple lawsuits against it, multiple petitions against it.

Not only all of that, but nobody else seems to like it, 95% students admitted to cheating, and those are the ones who admitted to it, meaning there are more. And that means that it literally sucks so bad, that almost EVERYONE hates it enough to cheat on it. Look around, there's so many macros to cheat on it, so much so Edgenuity literally has a firewall against them. That really says something!

There also seems to be a lot of other negative reviews, not one 5 star review is crazy, it stresses people out, and as Pretty Opinionated says; "Breaks our childrens spirits.", "STUDENTS rarely have anything good to say about it."

I do not think the higher ups at edgenuity have the mental capacity to understand these other reviews, so lets get this straight. Your platform is beyond garbage. you have no respect for anybody that uses your site, neither students or teachers like you. The only reason your website is used is because of your very obvious and public government lobbying. Have you seen the Wikipedia article for Edgenuity? They have a whole section explaining why everybody thinks your terrible.

Your solution to combat cheating was to take away a quality of life userscript that allowed students to watch the videos like a normal class instead of doing anything about the actual cheating plugins people are paying for. Oh, and speaking of quality of life improvements, where are they? Your website has zero quality of life features, and I know for a fact you know this because every review of edgenuity ever made has had these exact complaints, and over and over again you ignore them. First, you should add an autoplay features for the videos, and put the questions at the end of the lesson. I am willing to bet that about 30% of edgenuity users have ADHD, and you do nothing to encourage them to actually learn. Edgenuity is a memory game for teens.

Their developers must be paid pennies. First of there a several sections that can be outright exploited and just skipped, so there is no point to making 12 3 minute videos in a row unskippable when newer parts of courses can just be skipped due to oversights. Second off, do these all need to be in giant clumps of 30 second to 8 minute long videos in 99% of your courses. just do a long video, a small practice session, then the unit test. Better yet why follow a 30 second video with another 2 minute video directly afterward. Quit being lazy, open sony vegas or something and attach them to each other it isn't that hard. Plus the long talk before and after you answer a question is ludicrous. If i get it wrong, sure talk to me. But to have to listen to a speech before I can even try to answer the question is just absurd. Also, maybe make it so students can freely access the up to date part of the course if they missed a few days? Plus, the U.I looks like it is straight out of 2005. You may think that would make it easy on performance but no it runs like crap too somehow. It is no wonder this is the platform public schools use because it is so obviously cheap.

Edgenuity freaking sucks I was put here because of overprotective parents who think I will be harmed or become a quote on quote "bad boy"
At this point I have 2 classes right now and I spend time for 9:00-2:00 watching repetitive and monotone lectures. I also don't get my worth of grades since I have C's when I usually get A's because of the corrupt grading system for example If I got a 60 on a test my grade would go form 80 to 75 and If I got an 88 on a test I would receive a 1 point difference.

TLDR: Unhelpful, aggravating, and broken
The courses are extremely repetetive and boring, with 2 of the only 3 engaging forms of practice being designed to be unreasonably annoying/difficult. They don't really help you memorize things very well, and I doubt I've learned any more form this than I would have by teaching myself. It constantly glitches out, kicking me out of the course or skipping ahead when I try to go to the next thing. It also makes things unnecessarily slow by adding more things to click whenever you finish something. Finally, they have to use an email to allow you to make a password for your account, which got flagged as spam by the school email system, so I couldn't start until someone sent me an email manually, which meant I was a weak behind.

Edgenuity has always been miserable to use due to the subpar methods used to teach in most courses, horrendous learning format (long videos that can't be played at increased speed), and the developer's bizarre refusal to fix the above issues or make it more accessible for those with ADHD. In a strategic move comparable only to trying to climb Mt Everest entirely naked while pursued by several wolves the Edgenuity developers have opted to block the Tampermonkey extension from the website. Ignoring the fact that this is to some extent a breach of privacy. Edgenuity could've taken a fraction of the time spent blocking any userscript manager under the sun to instead either block specifically the extensions that autocomplete quizzes or cheat. Or alternatively just fixing the miserable experience it cultivates that drives people to spend hours trying to find a way to speed videos up or make them autoplay. The sooner that school districts move away from using Edgenuity the better.

TL;DR
Edgenuity is awful to use in general but especially so for anyone with ADHD or a similar condition. Instead of fixing the obvious and well documented issues that make it so awful the developers have chosen to entirely block the program people use to speed up the videos. Would not recommend.

in my complicated scenario i had no choice but to use the platform for my second semester and boy is it bad. i have started calling it "the embodiment of in one ear and out the other" as that's what it feels like. 20 minutes of videos teach you things (that you should spend a few days of real class on) terribly, and you move on to questions you can't answer because you weren't taught the material. i frequently have to watch videos three times to answer a couple questions it didn't teach me. not even to mention how easy it is to lose focus in my mind because of how long and boring the videos are sometimes and have to rewatch the videos. there really isn't a point, as you can look up literally every question online and get the correct answer, but i don't want to be screwed over in the future not knowing what i "learned." too bad i already am.

This website isn't really education. It has to be one of the worse websites I have ever had to use for learning ever. Not only does it use ai, but if you even get a 70% (a passing grade) it says you failed and have to completely restart, which gives students unnecessary stress. It also expects you to do a weeks work in one day. Over all one of the worse websites to use for education.

One of the worse websites for student learning! Teachers, if you are reading this DON'T USE IT!!! As a student myself I can safely say I didn't learn a single thing from here. If you tested me on any part I "learned" from here, I would get a zero. And I know I'm not the only student who agrees on this.

Worst "learning" program EVER

Enginuity is a waste of time. They expect you to have time for 6-7 hours of work a day. Online school is supposed to be flexible. Now I'm bending over backwards just to find time to finish it all. We are required to go to school to take our tests as well. How is that flexible? It's not. The classes are impossible and exhausting. You have to cheat on almost all the questions just to pass. No matter how much you read the articles, listen to the videos, you will still fail. The content is extremely outdated. I started online school because in person was taking over my life. I had stuff I wanted to focus on, and I thought going online would provide the flexibility I needed. It did the opposite. Now I have to make room for testing days, 7 hours of work which includes so much note taking because if you don't take notes, you will fail your final. Even if you do take notes, you probably will still fail. The questions are from the videos. If you miss even the slightest from the videos you will get so lost. The questions are not worded well at all. I failed so many courses setting me back a lot. If your looking into homeschool or online school DO NOT CHOSE EDGENUITITY This program is not good whatsoever do not recommend.

Honestly it has no real educational value it copy’s questions and answers from brainly.com and it has pre recorded videos from over 3 years ago it is a complete scam and my school fell for it
Reasons it sucks:
It’s easy to cheat
It’s repetitive
There is no human interaction
It’s graded by Ai
It gives a weeks work every day
And no one ever checks it

While Edgenuity's middle school curriculum is accessible and aligns with educational standards, it disappoints in crucial areas. The platform lacks interactivity and adaptability, and it doesn't incorporate real-world applications to engage students. Additionally, assessments do not align with lesson content and appear to be designed without a solid understanding of outcomes-based learning. Even with external tutoring, this curriculum has resulted in family stress and student demoralization. Edgenuity needs a comprehensive reevaluation to better serve student and family needs.

Honestly, the worst thing ever invented. The courses are mind-numbingly dull and don't promote learning. In my personal experience as a student, the teachers look like they don't want to be there at all. The program is horrible and doesn't do well unless you have a physical teacher in the room to help you.
As a student with ADHD, this program makes life more difficult. The complete lack of engagement within the program and the robotic nature are some things you don't want to give to your child. Please provide your child I-Ready instead. It's still a little boring, but it has way more engagement and usefulness.

This site makes their lessons boring and uninteresting it is the opposite of learning is fun! The site is slow and always buffering as well.
