I have 2 EGO mowers, a power back, multiple blowers and chainsaws. I purchased a battery on Amazon which died after 6 months. Apparently, because it was from a 3rd party vendor they will not honor the warranty. As I was unaware of this policy, I escalated to a supervisor to see if they would graciously honor the warranty as a one time. Don't waste your time with their customer service. I do not understand why a company policy is to not do the right thing as a courtesy and thus lose a loyal customer. Penny wise and very pound foolish.

Customer Service
Customer service is terrible. The customer service tech barely spoke English. He obviously was not interested in helping me. He was to send me an email but never did.

I would have rated it a MINUS 10 as far as Ego's Customer service. I did like the machine when it worked.
After using my SNT2100 Snow blower 10 times it would not start and the whole board system needs replacing to the tune of over $600. More than the machine costs! Of course, I bought it in February 2021 and it was out of warranty by 10 days when it stopped working in February of 2026.
After finally finding a certified Ego repair shop, I was told that this model has been discontinued due to the numerous problems with the machine, not surprising. Ego Supervisor called back and said there is no consideration available at all. Not even a discount if
I was to buy a different model snow blower. She offered me a TEE SHIRT, hysterical right? Like I would advertise a company with such inconsiderate customer service!

Battery life is disappointing, not long after warranty runs out so does the battery storage and run time. I bought the 53cm self propelled Select Cut mower with a 7.5 AH battery and spare 2.5 AH. Both batteries run time / performance degraded noticeably over the three year warranty period. At $489 7.5AH) and $239 (2.5AH)the batteries are “throw away” and replace items. Doesn’t seem economical or environmentally friendly. Non commercial/home user mowing once every 4-6 weeks in winter and every 2 - 4 weeks in summer.
Zero rating for Ego customer service
If I could rate a zero they couldn't achieve that. Waited for two hours on hold finally before my phone went dead opted for call back. Return call went straight to voicemail, never got to speak with anyone. Next day, one hour on hold, no agent ever picked up. Opted once again for call back, we'll see how long this time.
EGO Customer Service is CRAP!
I run a gardening business in NSW, Australia and only use EGO equipment. Whilst I love the gear and find it to be excellent equipment, EGO's customer service is where it all falls apart. To say that they are incompetent and terrible would be an understatement.
I have had, over the years at least 4 pieces of equipment replaced under warranty that have broken within days and I mean 1-2 days of using them and EGO simply refuses to replace them again. The line is well they were purchased (not by me) outside of the year warranty and so therefore we won't replace them. Even though they sent me these items to replace other items that had broken within the warranty period. So basically they send you a piece of crap and try to pass it off as workable gear. It's really disappointing, especially as someone who champions their actual equipment.
Terrible, unprofessional customer service
No chat ability. The call center sounds like a 7th grader created it, unprofessional and hold times are ridiculous. It's like it was recorded on a cell phone. Have called 4-5 times and have been on hold every time. I haven't made my purchase of a $2,000+ mower (30") and not sure I will with this horrible service.
I’m new to the ego product
I’m new to the ego product. It looks like a well built machine. I purchased a blower from Lowe’s. The battery had issues almost immediately. I called for support and they refused to warranty the battery. Their comments were 15 minutes is plenty of run time for a leaf blower. I think that’s ridiculous and it took six hours to charge the battery. I had a Kobolt leaf blower for four years until it started getting tired. That’s why I replaced it there warranty process is ridiculous.

It’s so sad that even though they have a North American Headquarters, they outsource their customer service to some foreign call center! Their batteries are crap and CANNOT be refurbished! They cost HUNDREDS or dollars to replace too! And then you call to get support, and someone who barely speaks English answers! SAD SAD SAD! Never again will I purchase a single EGO product.
worst customer service imaginable
worst customer service imaginable. Kept me on hold for ten minutes when all I had was a simple question on how to buy a two-dollar part. Then the man, Joseph, whose English was barely comprehensible, told me he would email me a parts link in five minutes. It never arrived. When I called back, I got the same idiot, so I just hung up. Horrible customer service.
not willing to help
not willing to help. have a $400 battery here that is a paperweight. It is within warranty period. Unfortunetly the retailer I bought it from (lowes canada) went out of business and can't produce a receipt. Ego, doesnt care. thanks ego.
I recently purchased EGO snow shovel
I recently purchased EGO snow shovel. after 10 minutes of using it a stick got caught in it. After following the customer service instructions a was able to remove the object. The process took about 40 minutes. When I resumed using the shovel in 2 to 3 inches of snow it did not perform as when I first started. I reach out to customer service and received a letter explaining it was user error and they basically felt that no support should be offered. Ego is own by the Chinese manufacture Chevron. Now I own $400.00 shovel that does not perform all because of 2in stick. Buyer beware of this delicate product.

Don't buy an Ego mower if you care about service
I have had two ego mowers in two years. Both had the self propel go out. First in three months, second in ten months. First they replaced under warranty. Second ego had the worst coustmer service. They were telling not under warranty with out knowing what was wrong. Then you don't have a receipt we won't even look at it, even though registered. I produced receipt they finally let me take it. It took 30 days to be told they won't cover my 10 month Ego mower with supposed 5 year warranty. Had my Ryobi mower for 3 years no problem gave to kid to get ego bad mistake.
Tough little chainsaw
I purchased the EGO battery power chain saw. It has been a great light weight saw. The battery held up 2 hours before recharging. Cuts smooth and it’s not loud like my gas chainsaw. Since we went through an ice storm this year. I had so many broken tree limbs in my yard. This saw has been great with its performance. I would definitely buy the EGO battery power tools again!!!!!

Bearing seat on trimmer worn first time a new head was required. Impossible to get parts, install and fix are useless. Total tools can't get parts, mower ship can't get parts, total failure of customer service stay away. Been ongoing for a month

Had 2 batteries, first one broke down after 10 months the 2nd one right before its warranty ended, comical.

5 star for worst customer service. Why doesn't EGO stand behind the warranty of a product without a receipt. Tool was registered. Ego has all the information and item is currently under warranty for a year still. Purchased may 2021 model LB6500. Blower is defective. EGO customer service provided date of purchase and date of registration. Battery and charger working perfectly with use in other EGO equipment. My son purchased blower for a gift for me. This started my EGO purchases. Weed wacker, extra batteries, power station and 5 EGO lights. Date code on weed blower shows item still under manufacture date warranty. DEC 2021. EGO needs to stand behind the warranty. Customer serv5at this point has not help with situation. Good way to lose valuable customers .

Stay with gas, battery goes out right when the warranty go out! Almost like it's planned that way!
