Issue with a warranty claim, denied service as the tool was 13months old , 3 year warranty is a marketing ploy and excludes wear from normal operation .
Tools have become less reliable since they are now nearly all made in Mexico.

Customer support and service center are poor to respond

Have switched to a combo of Milwaukee and Ridgid, both have standout warranty and great customer service.

Rubbish customer service/warranty

Bought my husband a hoover just over a year ago. Registered the extended three year warranty with some difficulty.
Used it very little and the hose broke.
For weeks now, my husband has been emailing back and forth.
They wanted original invoice, warranty certificate (which they provided initially) etc etc.
Now they are saying they won't accept a screen shot of the warranty certificate.
They want my husband to go on THEIR website, download it and attach to.an email??
They had all their in order to register.
We feel.they are just avoiding rectifying the problem.
Never buy Dewalt again. Extended warranty? Waste of time.
UPDATE, eventually they accepted our receipt etc via email. Sent email asking us to clean and pack hoover, do not include parts or battery (good job we kept they box) so ups could pick it up the next day. It was picked up the next day.
Following day, we get an email to say the filter was still in. They sent it back with the same broken hose!!!
Really. We are fuming. Why not just send a replacement hose rather than the expense of having it collect and returned.
We are not going to bother now. Would rather bin it and get a different brand 😡

j’ai acheté en 2011 un cloueur dewalt 18v, mes batteries sont mortes, j’ai contacté leur service client pour savoir où trouver des batteries neuves ! leur réponse est que ces batteries ne sont plus fabriquées et qu’ils n’ont plus d’équivalences ! je me retrouve avec un outil en état de fonctionnement mais sans batterie !!!!!! je ne suis pas prêt d’acheter cette marque 😡😡😡

Slapped in the face by DeWalt Service

I was gifted a 20Volt small chainsaw. Great little saw until I used it in the rain and it stopped working. Called DeWalt customer service and was informed there was a service center 100 miles from home so I drove there instead of shipping. The service center had been closed for over two years. Can you imagine how mad I was. So I shipped my little saw postage paid by DeWalt since it was under warranty to California. A little over a month it was returned with a very condescending note that I needed to read the owners manual to operate it correctly. It didn’t state what was fixed, only that they assumed it was operator error. I’m very brand loyal to DeWalt products, but that was a slap. I had read the owners manual and knew how to operate the tiny saw, but going forward I’ll be sure to keep it dry. I do like the little saw, just not that I drove over 200 miles to a closed service center and then got an insulting note upon its return to me.

3 5ah powerstack accus kapot uit 2024, minder dan een jaar in gebruik. Alle 3 gestopt met opladen, oranje lampje brand op oplader, doet niks. Sterkte ermee want dewalt heeft 0,0 coulance. Na 5 keer bellen niks kunnen bereiken. Opsturen wil je ook niet want kost waarschijnlijk 90 euro de accu, waarvan vast en zeker alleen een zwakke connector doorgebrand is ofzo. Als je dan niet kiest voor reparatie, betaal je 30 euro voor het proces. Zielepoten. Al deze ondernemers hebben jullie gekozen en voor zakken geld aan jullie tools gehaald, en jullie zetten ze allemaal af, teringlijers. De eerste de beste tool die kapot gaat die niet op stroom loopt, stap ik over. Trieste ventjes.

Overigens, productiedatum staat gewoon op de accu, is 2024, en als ik garantie gratis verlengd had op deze accus had het er wel onder gevallen. Wat een trieste verkooptruc is dat, schaam je Dewalt (Stanley Black & Decker)

I recently acquired a 9-amp

I recently acquired a 9-amp, 54-volt battery for over £200. This purchase occurred just over a year ago, placing it slightly outside the warranty period by approximately one month. Despite its limited usage, the battery is no longer charging. Upon contacting DeWalt for a resolution, such as repair or replacement, I was informed that no action could be taken due to the expired warranty. I found this response and the overall customer service to be unsatisfactory, particularly given the significant cost of the battery. Consequently, I will not be purchasing another product from them.

J'achète des outils Dewalt depuis plus…

J'achète des outils Dewalt depuis plus de 20 ans (et des milliers d'euros dépensés pour une vaste gamme d'outils couvrant la menuiserie, la maçonnerie et le jardinage) et pendant ce temps j'ai constaté une baisse progressive de la qualité au fil du temps. Ma meuleuse m'arécemment lâché quelques mois après la fin de la garantie. J'ai contacté Dewalt, mais ils ne semblent pas disposés à m'aider. Je pense qu'il est temps de changer.

Dewalts 16 piece Bi-metal reciprocating…

Dewalts 16 piece Bi-metal reciprocating saw blades are not hardened steel but an alloy. My experience, these blade fail at the chuck breaking when the tough get going. I do not recommend this product for any metal cutting.

DeWalt offers a new tool line, sells tens of thousands of units, has different models within the same series of tools- THAT ALL USE THE SAME TYPE OF SWAPPABLE BATTERIES !!

Then not only discontinues the entire line,

but also discontinues making the

~~~batteries~~~

~~~~~~~~~~~for the entire series !!!~~~~~~~~~~~

Rendering already purchased tools THAT WORK PERFECTLY!! ~~~USELESS JUNK~~~ BECAUSE DEWALT DOES "BAIT & SWITCH" B.S.AND EXPECTS PROS TO DUMP ALL OF THE WORKING TOOLS & BUY NEW INFERIOR VERSIONS THAT ARE A PROFESSIONAL JOKE.

The new version is a complete laughingstock !!! the "replacement" for this series of tools has a built-in battery! MAKING IT A "HOUSEWIFE" TOOL INSTEAD OF A PRO'S TOOL.

CAN'T SWAP BATTERIES IN THE FIELD & HAVE TO FIND A POWER SOURCE TO CHARGE IT AND WILL TAKE HOURS ??? WHAT PRO IS GOING TO DEAL WITH THAT COMICAL SETUP ?

DeWalt has totally killed the utility of these tools by switching to an internal, non removeable battery...

AND DO YOU KNOW WHY ?????

That is all true as far as it goes. I am being FORCED to replace perfectly good DeWalt tools !!!

From now on, I am buying ANY OTHER BRAND than DeWalt !!!

I am a chief engineer for the largest property Mgmt. company in North America & I am recommending ~~~COMPANY WIDE~~~ to stop purchasing DeWalt tools, COMPLETELY & FOREVER.

The customer service is non-existent as well, has been shoved offshore to call centers overseas and you need an interpreter to understand the CSR's, after waiting 30 plus minutes on an 800 number....

Just more plain bad business.

GOODBYE, DeWalt !!

There are WAAAAAY to many good options available to deal with this B.S. business model...Milwaukee, Ridged, Even Makita has better options these days.

Hopeloos bedrijf en slechte kwaliteit spullen

Zaagtafel 7942 gekocht maar deze ging na 2 jaar amper gebruiken kapot. Helaas is Dewalt niet bereid verantwoordelijkheid te nemen voor een zeer slecht product. Sterker nog ik moest 25€ verzendkosten betalen en ondanks dat ik garantie heb,.willen ze hem niet repareren. De machine is in brand gevlogen door kortsluiting in de motor maar Dewalt vind dat niet genoeg om hem te vervangen. de 120€ schade aan mijn meterkast boeid ze ook niet. Koop geen Dewalt mensen, geef iets meer geld uit aan een Festool, die hebben een goede service, Dewalt nooit kopen!!!!

Bought a pair of Dewalt boots from screwfix . After a month one of the laces fraid . I called back into our local store and asked if they could replace the lace . Straight away no was the answer . I showed my recipient and was still told no and to contact dewalt .(They couldn’t even sell me one ). I did this to be passed from pillar to post and then told to email , which I did and then to be emailed back saying go back to retailer . Fgs it’s a lace !
Thought better from a company like this . I’ve got hundreds of pounds worth of power tools by Dewalt .
If they treat there customers this way Im highly put off and all for a pair of laces !

Dewalt tools customer experience.

Let me start off by saying I think Dewalt makes a very high quality product. I own a huge assortment of there hand tools and battery powered tools. In fact I have bought Dewalt tools since I started in the blue collar trades. With that being said I am very disappointed how both Lowe’s and Dewalt have chosen to handle my problem. Lowe’s had a Black Friday battery deal which I participated in and then told me Dewalt was not able to ship enough product to fulfill all of the purchases. I was told that Dewalt would be sending me $150 coupon for a future purchase. After following up on this with both Lowe’s and Dewalt they both blamed each other. I love my Dewalt tools but it looks like it is time to sell them off and start again with another brand. This is not because I am mad about loosing out on the Black Friday deal but I am so disappointed in the way the Dewalt customer service team treated me on the phone. Thank you Dewalt for making a quality tool that I have used for the last 22 years but I will now be switching brands.

DeWalt don’t honour their 3 year…

DeWalt don’t honour their 3 year warranty. They will make it impossible for you to make a claim. I certainly won’t be purchasing anything with the DeWalt name or Black & Decker who also got involved with my claim.
Their customer service staff take weeks to respond each time, they never give you their names and obviously have no after sales loyalty . Avoid!

The drills are terrible

Fir the last twenty years, I have only bought and used Dewalt products for my profession. For almost half of the time, the chucks in the battery operated drill has been terrible, and this is my third drill buying in the last ten years. They dont hold large bits well anymore they used to. Even when you drill pilot holes, the bits still continue to pop out. Also the safety shutdown thats included with the drills also need to go. It makes it a lot harder to dislodge a bit when it gets stuck in a hole. This is the last time im buying dewalt

Extremely disappointed with DEWALT…

Extremely disappointed with DEWALT customer service. I received a brand-new piece of equipment that was already broken out of the box. Instead of standing behind their product, customer service was absolutely no help and tried to push the cost back on me by telling me I would need to purchase replacement parts myself.

This was a manufacturing or quality control issue, yet DEWALT refused to take responsibility or offer a proper resolution. For a brand that markets itself as professional-grade, this level of support is unacceptable. I expected much better.
