Egress Full Platform
Have been running the full Egress platform for a while now and have been really impressed with not only the technology but the people have been supporting me through the process. Was also surprised how many phishing attacks were getting through my 0365 defender but being picked up by Egress. Would recommend Egress to anyone!
Seamless and secure
Great email security platform that closes the loop on insider risk. Couldn't recommend more for any organisation looking to implement a secure email suite.
Negative reviews must be recipients not understanding the use of encrypted emails.
Egress in Outlook
We recently had Egress installed into our Outlook. Not quite sure what the product is but it stopped me from making quite an embarrassing mistake.
Very useful, though occasionally glitchy
Sometimes the interface with outlook is a bit glitchy, although I suspect this is much outlook's fault as it is Egress'! Otherwise, a great service that I use all the time.
Terrible
Terrible. Forced to sign up for a free account to access correspondence from my medical provider. I can't believe my medical provider paid for this. Apparently the records disappear after a few months. IT nightmare to try to sort it out. Find a better service. You're just going to p*## people off if you try to send them stuff using this.

Do not use this pile of rubbish.
Our company buys the cheapest garbage available to tick whatever box needs ticking - and they chose this steaming lump as an Outlook add-in.
Write a email, drag a file into the email - and, if the Egress add-in is active, it automatically changes your message to an Egress message... BUT IT DOESN'T TELL YOU. You send your carefully written email and instead, your recipient receives the automated Egress "such and such has sent you a file"... and none of your text. Not only that, but that automated email is now what is in your Sent folder. You've lost all your work.
It's hopeless. If our company uses it - you/your company should not... we're an advert for picking utter rubbish and doing stuff as cheap as possible. Use any other system but Egress. I'm now off to disable the add-in and then throw my laptop (also cheap and terrible) out the window.
Terrible, illogical software
The software is very user-unfriendly!
It is also completely illogical, as it sends passwords to your own email address in order to access the ‘secure’ Egress software!!
Security question concerns
Having electronically transferred a large sum of money to Ramsay Healthcare t/a Woodthorpe Hospital I requested an invoice and receipt. This was sent by Egress. To open the email I needed to set up an account the security questions of which were the very questions used to access my bank account. How can this be secure. Have requested an invoice by Royal Mail. I appreciate the need for secure systems but I think a simple request for an invoice is a step to far.

This software is illogical and frustrating— asking for verification emails once you’ve already ‘logged in’ to the platform, not storing past emails, timing out and losing important documents.. What compounds the frustration is that it seems largely used for medical correspondence, so you’re usually having to navigate this nightmare when you’re not well. At this point I’m pretty sure improving the UEx would bring health benefits.

This is probably the worst software I have come across after a career in cybersecurity). All I want is a pre-authorisation number from BUPA but they sent it using Egress and it has become a nightmare. Forgetting a password leads to stupid questions like "what is the name of is your oldest cousin?" (first, second, the one called William also known as Billy?) and where was my worst job (employer name, location or what ?). How can anybody remember the answers given an age ago to dumb questions like that?
Now I have to spend yet another half hour on the phone to get the information I need.
Simply doesn't work
I have been using this now for a couple of years (not my choice) and I have to say that it is one of the worst systems. It is not user-friendly at all but what I find the most annoying is that I can never just reply to an email. It takes about 5 minutes to load for it just to not work in the end. So every time I want to reply to an email that I have received I need to compose a new email to the sender. What is the point? I understand that things need to be secure but they should also be user-friendly and not be an annoyance every time. I would not recommend anyone to sign up to egress. I am sure there must be better systems out there.

I received only 2 very important emails through this app and one of them got lost for no reason. I tried to send an email to the assistance as explained in the FAQ but after a week still no answer. Honestly it is very difficult to receive a service worst than this.
Super secure service!
Egress allows me to send confidential material securely to many parties. Never given me any issues for concern.

Just trying to figure out how come some recipients require access and some don't
Rip off Egress
This is a product I dont want. I have been using email for years without any issues then the EU forced GDPR on the UK demanding all emails for business are encrypted. Except it didnt quite say that and all my european friends just ignore it.
However being British we have to comply and my industry went to Egress. It is dreadful as it only integrates with Outlook which I dont use, so I have to use two parallel systems. It is slow and retrieving emails more than a few weeks old seems to fail.
But my main problem is when it came to renewal they wanted £90 plus VAT. I just happened to look at the US site where it was $90 subsequently $108.
I questioned why it was more expensive to buy in pounds given that the company has offices in both countries and the product is software. I was then told it was due to tax, which isnt true. Then I was told it was due to 'multifactorial reasons'. When I queried what this meant I was told to email another department and await a reply.
So it is something I dont need, doesnt work well and addresses a problem other countries just ignore and nobody I know has suffered. Egress are ripping you off if you pay in sterling and refuse to give you a straight answer. I will not be going anywhere near them in future
