UK ENIC is the designated United Kingdom national organisation for the recognition and comparison of international qualifications and skills. We perform this official function on behalf of the UK Government. Operating under contract to the Department for Education (DfE), UK ENIC serves as the UK’s information point on the recognition of overseas qualifications. We also provide the only official source of information on international education systems and qualifications attained from outside the UK, as prescribed by the Lisbon Recognition Convention. UK ENIC is part of the European Network of Information Centres (ENICs) and the wider ENIC-NARIC network. The United Kingdom is a signatory of the Lisbon Recognition Convention which obliges the signatory nations to make arrangements for recognising qualifications across borders and to provide information on education systems and higher education institutions. Dont pay 70 quid if you're from a small country
trash. i got a gcse equivalent from a different country and they denied my application completely. they claim its too bad and is too low of a level.

Please note that the size of country does not determine equivalency in qualifications when we compare them to the UK.
There are many factors considered during our evaluation process, details of which can be found here: https://www.enic.org.uk/individuals/how-we-check-qualifications
The lower secondary school qualification you submitted, when evaluated, does not compare to the minimum level of qualification for comparison to UK education systems, and falls below GCSE. We were therefore unable to provide equivalence to GCSE level qualifications as studied in the UK.
The service paid for is to determine whether the qualification provided in your order is comparable to UK education systems, and the service has been completed on that basis.
We appreciate that this is not the outcome you were seeking.

was very disappointed with the service I received.
Before submitting my application, I was told that I could upload up to four qualifications as part of a single application. Based on this information, I uploaded two qualifications. However, I was later informed that only one qualification could be processed because the second one had not been uploaded in the correct section.
Instead of helping to resolve what was a simple mistake, I was told that nothing could be done and that I would need to submit a completely new application and pay another £70. I don’t think this is fair, especially as I had already uploaded both qualifications as part of my original application.
I expected better customer service and a more reasonable solution. Unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing.

Thank you for your application for the Statement of Comparability service. Please note that we can assess up to four qualifications as part of this service. However, upon reviewing your application, only one qualification was entered for assessment.
In cases where multiple qualification documents are uploaded but only one qualification is specified on the application form, we will assess the named qualification provided by you, or if both are named, the highest qualification. In this instance, the qualification entered was the Licence d'Études Fondamentales / Bachelor's Degree in Fundamental Studies - French Language Teaching Methodology.
If you would now like an additional qualification to be assessed, you will need to submit a new order through the online portal. To do this, please click on ‘Start Application’ and select the same service you previously applied for. This will allow you to add the new qualification for assessment.
Please note that this will be charged at the full price of the service.

I got all the support I required to eventually obtain my transcripts safely from my university to UK ENIC. The response time to all queries was also impressive. Customer service was impeccable.
After the transcripts were uploaded to UK ENIC, my comparative statement was ready within 24 hrs.

I was expecting to receive my statement of comparability within the stipulated 21 days period, but it came far before that time.
The company is doing well on that front, and also the fact that there are no complications in the submission of documents.

Extremely Frustrating and Disappointing
Could not place a phone call. The phone line is set to hang up after listening to a set of options that are already availale online. Responses to specific questions were automated and unhelpful. I was unable to get responses or a certificate in a timely way, and had to go to great lengths and cost to obtain a document that turned out to be unecessary. Queries around this requirement were ignored. I did not receive compensation or support despite multiple requests. The response provided below does not account for this, further illustrating the attitude of this company.

After reviewing your application, we found that some of the required documents were either missing or submitted as unofficial versions. To ensure we provide an accurate evaluation, we need to receive all required documents before an assessment can be completed. As outlined on our website, when additional documents are requested, the processing timeframe restarts once they are received. There is no provision for a refund or compensation where documents are required to complete an evaluation.
Once the outstanding documents were provided, we completed the evaluation and issued your Statement of Comparability within our published timeframe.
Our Customer Service team is also available by phone Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and is happy to provide guidance on document requirements before or during the application process. The number is a local rate number accessible to all, unless your network provider has number restriction in place. Our menu options allow you to speak with one of the customer service team, therefore you have likely selected an incorrect option.
We appreciate your comments and encourage applicants to check the document requirements carefully before applying or contact us if they need any assistance.
