Avoid at all costs (Online order, UK)

You would think a company like Ethnc (UK) would have a better returns system, good customer service and their own return facility. However, no, not true. They use another company to send items and process the return.

The sizing is big. A size XS should fit a 6-8 (UK), as it is the smallest size they offer. However it could fit a size 10-14 (UK). So, if you are a smaller size, you'll find clothes are big and oversized. It might work for you, as that is the style. Now on to the material, it is quite thin. But, I understand lawn can be thin when it comes to some brands. However, cut outs do not have backing underneath even. You'll have to wear something underneath and it will be noticeable. Although I'm not sure why most of their items are lawn or cambric fabric types, which are thinner and see through. I would expect more of a range of fabric for a brand which is prices as high as they are. The trousers can be long for some people, some styles and shorter for some people, other styles. So, it can be confusing.

I returned most of the items, reasons which are above. I have returned their goods in good order, some not even tried on. I packed the items perfectly with the labels above, so it would be easier for the staff to process. Added the returns paper inside. If you are lucky to get your returns processed, it takes weeks (sometimes 3 weeks) for it to be processed from their outsourced returns facility. You wouldn't get a notification before this even to say your turn has reached them or that it is being processed. The facility can make mistakes and not process all your returns.

Customer service try and help. Have they refunded me. No. Waited months. Emailed, no reply. Called and called, with a confirmation of the refund and no refund in the bank account. I have been nice to customer service, but still did not see a return receipt or a refund. I get the same message, investigating. I'll call again, you'll get your refund in x days. Nothing appears in the back account. I do this time after time. It's hard to get through to customer service in the morning. Customer service hang up the phone, or it cuts off after 8 minutes, weirdly. But, they don't call back, so you have to call again. But, they don't call back, so you have to call again. They add waiting music, if they need to talk to a manager, but the phone cuts off. Everything, but sending my money back to me.

My advice to Ethnc is to have their own warehouse in the UK to ensure better service (like other Pakistani brands who are now in the UK). Have a better customer service process, phone calls should be transparent and Ethnc should communicate with their outsourced facility centre, answer emails within 5 working days, returning customers money once refunds have been processed and a timescale for refunds (like other Pakistani brands in the UK). As there are many negative reviews, I'm hoping they will contact the fulfillment centre to question why there are issues with processing and refunds, especially as Ethnc is using Synergy Retail Support Ltd. These will be the reasons they'll lose an online customer base in the UK.

Refuse to shop with them now, especially online.

My advice to customers is to buy instore. Remember items are more expensive than last year, but this is true in Pakistan, too. Try items on and inspect them whilst in-store before buying. Make sure you like the items and look at the details like cut outs. Keep the receipt safe, ask for a physical copy.

If you want to buy online, look at the fabric types. Zoom into pictures to see if they are see through. Look at the size chart before buying. Remember to take pictures/ videos of the items/ parcel. Keep the delivery receipt from the post office, you'll need that. It can take week and weeks (3-5 weeks) for returns to be processed, not the 72 hours they note on their website. Otherwise, you'll have hound their customer service with no result most times, unless you are an influencer, I guess.

This is specifically ethnic online. When you receive your clothes, they're significantly different from what they show online. When you try to return, not only have you paid nearly £5 for delivery, you then have £5 deducted from your refund to pay for the return!!!! You can't even return to store so paying for a return is your only option! Absolutely ludicrous and bang out of order. Never again.

I recently ordered three dresses online…

I recently ordered three dresses online from the US website of Ethnic and I am extremely disappointed with my experience. The quality of the fabric is very poor — the material is extremely thin, rough, and feels cheap, almost like a third-copy version of a branded product.

This was very surprising and frustrating because when I shop in person at Ethnic stores in Pakistan, the fabric quality is completely different — much better, comfortable, and worth the price. However, the online order I received does not match that standard at all.

Unfortunately, my overall experience with their online shopping service has been very bad. I did not expect such low-quality items from a brand like ethnic .I hope they improve their quality control for online orders, as this was a very disappointing purchase.

hey I order a dress from you few days before on cash on delivery to dgkhan on payment of 23240 someone from your courier company called and said send payment in jazzcash account named Rashman I trusted them due to Eid and sent money he called later and said you won't have to send money in jazzcash send money in bank named qasir I again trusted and send money again he called and said why you transfered in bank from jazzcash send money from bank to bank when I said I am not sending money again can you please return my money he start using abusing langauage and start saying ( jhotay per khuda ki lanaT ) also used other bad words I request him to return my money he cancelled call I called again he said you have to send money again than company give me slip I will than be allowwd to send your parcel I again request that I have no money I already sent you 46480 my father also said that I can come in courier centre he said its no allowed you are not able to come in warehouses first he said I am in dgkhan than later refused I am in Lahore I really request you to look at this matter he neither sended me my money nor my parcel

Pathetic customer service

Pathetic customer service, been 2 days sending them emails about return request and not responding. XS size has 19 inch shoulders whereas their size chart says its 14.5inch

Abysmal costumer service

I ordered a package and paid it in full. When I received it I noticed that one item was missing. I repeatedly tried to contact costumer service but they decided to ignore me altogether. Their service is abysmal.
This is far from over. I will involve legal action if required, not because of one piece but because of the principle of it.
Do not buy from that shop!

I ordered 2 dresses from ethnc.pk ..the dresses arrive in good condition..my only complain is , I was charged for Dhl and skynet deliverd the parcel ..I just want to request the company to charge accordingly..please don’t charge for premium services and send my skynet ..their international shipping charges as compared to sana safinaz is way more …I realy liked their outfits ..hope they make some changes in courier charges …make it more reasonable for us to order …

Customer Support Is Horrible, Policy's are egregious

I had a very unfortunate experience with this shop. First, I want to say that I came out of country for my family, in which my friend wanted a dress. I came into this shop with hopes, but was rather disappointed in the rough collection and high prices. Later, my mom went and bought a dress for around 26,000 rupees whilst I was bedridden at home. Absolutely no one at the shop informed her that the dresses on sale are subject to no refund or return only to be changed in size. The board that stated this policy was also not in sight and later brought up when complained to. Unfortunately, my friend did not like the color and fitting of the dress as it seemed to big on me and we are roughly the same size. With some hope, my father called customer support to simply explain what happened and asked if it were possible to only change the dress with another from the shop- NOT refund. Customer support dismissed us and was insistent on their policy, refusing to acknowledge our problem. Full honesty- if you want to absolutely waste your money come to this shop- otherwise you would be better off buying clothes from a local dealer in any mall selling a better piece for less. Thanks!

I ordered online and the product was…

I ordered online and the product was stained and DAMAGED about a month ago and i talked to the sales person and he said he will refund and we sent the product back but its been 1 month and i still havent recieved the money and every time i call they say 1 day and nothing happens. Such a horrible customer service ,highly disappointed never ordering again.

Missing item, No return and pathetic customer service

I live abroad. Ordered few clothes .After two weeks with no response and update on delivery status, I sent them email . After my email they delivered. When i opened pack , one item was missing.
There was no dispatch order email, no missing item update email and all this process was such a pain. I accept their apology and waiting for return payment which suppose to come last week. Sending them email and no response. Such pathetic customer service.

Kids tops should have button ls or big…

Kids tops should have button ls or big enough for the kids to be able to put them on comfortably. I fail to understand how they make products with such fundamental flaw. Dont they have try outs before finalizing the design. I got a kurta for my 3 year old and her head didnt go through the tiny hole with no buttons. Just plain stupid.

Awful customer service returned two…

Awful customer service returned two outfits, lied that there were makes on one of them however I took pictures and proved there were no marks, they then rang me and confirmed they would refund me for both outfits, refunded the cheaper one but not the expensive one. If I could give them 0 star rating I would do not purchase online outfits from Ethnic

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience at the Ethnic store in Dolmen Mall Lahore. I was given damaged items, and when I went to claim an exchange, the staff told me that I could only change the product from the same branch where it was purchased. This policy was not mentioned anywhere on the receipt, which is extremely misleading.

When I requested help because the branch was different but the brand is the same, the staff became rude and refused to accommodate me in any way. I’ve never seen such an unhelpful and inflexible policy from well-known brands. Other brands are always cooperative, but unfortunately, Ethnic’s behaviour and customer service were very disappointing.

I hope the management looks into this and improves their customer service, because this kind of treatment pushes loyal customers away.
