I signed up with exchange4free and when I tried to send money I was told I needed to send documents for verification, not specifying the documents. I sent a copy of my passport detailing my name, dob and other relevant information(100 points of ID), also I sent a copy of my Victorian drivers license which showed my current address (100 points of ID).
I waited for two weeks only to be told that those documents were not enough so they asked for my bank statement which I provided.
To make matters worse and to prove how incompetent and unorganised Exchange4free is in my opinion, when I made enquires about how the verification process was going they then asked me to provide a copy of my VISA, at that point I lost it.. if mere verification is a big deal for them, how can they be trusted with funds???
Guys get your process together... I'm so disappointed with this.

After a week (according to support it takes 2-3 workdays) the money was (Bank to Bank transfer, EFT) still not in my account. Support (which until then was quite friendly and quick in responding) said, that they cannot find the pay-in. After sending the proof of payment all mails are unanswered and simply ignored. The transaction was then set to "cancelled".
Very dodgy behaviour and useless if money is not transferred.
Could be an interesting service once it is working!

After using exchange4free for nearly a year we have suddenly started getting charged a 244AED ($66) per month corresponding bank charge after making the payment to the E4F bank account. After visiting our bank and getting confirmation that the charges came from the corresponding/receiving bank. We contacted E4F where we received little to no help to attempt to recover the money and they keep insisting the charge did not come from them but cannot prove or give a decent explanation. Only saying they have no control over what banks charge for funds being sent, and we should ask our bank to cover the fees.

"No fees or commissions on all amounts! No hidden costs!" - Really??!

Exchange4free is really amazing. I downloaded their new Money Messenger app and I was able to send money to the United Kingdom straight from my mobile phone!

I have been using Exchange4free since 2010. There service is phenomenal and I have saved money from their outstanding Fx rates!

However, I have been using them for several years now and they live up to all of the claims that they make. They offer the best rates by far. Their rates always beat their transfer competitors and banks BY FAR. Their service is quick and efficient.

I needed to send cash to Colombia quickly. I paid the company with a credit card and the funds came straight out of my bank. I called to confirm and the funds were received the same day. That was 4 days ago and I'm still being told by their Customer Service team that they're waiting for the Colombian payment agent to "process" my payment. The thing is that western union would have charged me around $70 to transfer the funds at exactly the same exchange rate - but my wife would have received the money within 10 minutes of having sent it. This company is making me wait for no good reason for my wife to collect the funds. They are telling us that the agent will contact the recipient. This is also not true as the agent did not contact my wife the last time either - and that transaction took a week. Do not use this company if you need the money sent quickly or if yoiu need a clear channel of communication with the senders.

I was using my banks international transfer, which included a fee at both ends of the transfer, australia to nz. Also the banks exchange rate was very good, exchange4free has always had a better rate, and no extra fees. Lots of communication with txt alerts and emails when using their service which makes it easy.

Sent £500 to a firm in Zimbabwe as a holiday payment. Did the job without any problems

Ive used them for since beginning of 2015. adequate service for transfers to bank accounts in PH, USA & RSA. However, poor service when sending money to PH for cash pick up. On balance Transfer Wise offers faster, more reliable service at better rates.

I used Hifx and was greatly disappointed. They do give better quotes than exchange4free but the key difference is exchange4free will deliver your money in full, whereas Hifx seem to just let everyone take a cut without even informing you.
Exchange4free could give better quotes but to be honest I'd rather have the better standard of service. Every time I have been in contact with them they have provided great information and really do make you feel like a valued customer. I'm happy with them and there work.
